Claims (6)
- (A)密閉されたエンクロージャの入口を通して燃料を供給し;
(B)燃料を第1の任意の合体する媒体を通過させ;
(C)ろ過材を通して燃料をろ過し;ここで、ろ過材は
(i)任意の第1上流スクリム;
(ii)第1上流スクリムと直面しかつ流体接触する、平均直径が100〜500nmのナノ繊維を含み、基本重量が1.5g/m2〜40g/m2 であるポリマーナノウェブ;および
(iii)第1上流スクリムに対するポリマーナノウェブの反対側のポリマーナノウェブと直面しかつ流体接触する任意の第2下流スクリム;
を含み、
(D)燃料を第2の任意の合体する媒体を通過させ;そして
(E)出口を通して燃料をエンクロージャから排出することを含むエンジン燃料をろ過する方法であって、但し
(a)上流スクリムまたは下流スクリムの少なくとも一方がろ過材中に存在し、そして
(b)ポリマーナノウェブはガラスを含まず、
前記ポリマーナノウェブがポリイミド、脂肪族ポリアミド、芳香族ポリアミド、部分的芳香族ポリアミド、ポリスルホン、酢酸セルロース、ポリウレタン、ポリ(尿素−ウレタン)、ポリベンゾイミダゾール、ポリエーテルイミド、ポリアクリロニトリル、ポリ(エチレンテレフタレート)、ポリアニリン、ポリ(エチレンオキシド)、ポリ(エチレンナフタレート)、ポリ(ブチレンテレフタレート)、ポリスチレン、ポリ(塩化ビニル)、ポリ(ビニルアルコール)、ポリ(フッ化ビニリデン)、ポリ(ビニルブチレン)、ポリフッ化ビニリデンのコポリマー、シンジオタクチックポリスチレン、フッ化ビニリデンおよびヘキサフルオロプロピレンのコポリマー、ポリビニルアルコール、ポリ酢酸ビニル、ポリ(アクリロニトリル)のアクリル酸とのコポリマー、ポリ(アクリロニトリル)のメタクリル酸塩とのコポリマー、ポリスチレン、ポリ(塩化ビニル)、ポリ(メタクリル酸メチル)、および前記のブレンド、コポリマーまたは誘導体化合物からなる群より選択されるポリマーのナノ繊維を含む、
上記方法。 - ポリマーナノウェブは2.5g/m2〜40g/m2の基本重量を有する請求項1記載の方法。
- 第1上流スクリムは基本重量が30g/m2〜200g/m2の不織ウェブを含み、該不織ウェブはスパンボンド不織ウェブ、カーデッド不織ウェブ、メルトブローン不織ウェブ、紙、上記のものの組合せおよび上記のもののラミネートからなる群より選択される請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- 第2下流スクリムはろ過材の下流に配置された主にセルロースを含有する紙材をさらに含む請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 第2下流スクリムは15g/m2〜200g/m2の基本重量を有するメルトブローン不織ウェブを含む請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 4マイクロメートル以上の粒子が少なくとも99%の効率でエンジン燃料からろ過され残される請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
