Description
表面安定性指標(SSI)は、引っ張ったときにウェブの表面で繊維が剥がれる傾向を示す尺度である。ウェブの表面安定性指標は、以下の手法で測定した。磁石棒(magnetic bar)を伸び計(MTS QUEST(商標)5)の下側取り付け箇所に挿入した。およそ10.2cm×15.2cmの鋼板を、その磁石の上部に置いた。鋼板上に1本の両面テープをしっかり取り付けた。テープは幅が約6.4cm、長さが約7.6cmであった。一枚の試験材料(少なくとも5.1cm×5.1cm)を静かに両面テープ上に置いたが、平らになるようにした。試験材料の表面が乱されないように注意を払い、しわや折り目がつかないようにした。
実施例1では、国際公開第03/080905号パンフレットに記載されているように、24%のポリアミド−6,6のギ酸溶液を電気ブロー加工によって紡糸した。紡糸口金に加えた電圧は85kVであり、1cm間隔に配置されたノズルの孔を用いて、2.0cc/孔/分の押出量でポリマー溶液を紡糸した。実施例1は、コレクターの真空度が80mm水柱、乾燥機の真空度が40mm水柱において、70gsmのポリエステルスクリムまたは支持体層上に回収した。ライン・スピードは14.5m/分であった。また坪量が4.2gsmのウェブを製造した。紡糸における室温はおよそ27℃であり、室内湿度は88%であった。金型からコレクターまでの距離は400mmに設定した。プロセスガス温度は、ノズル幅1メートル当たり4m3/分のそれぞれの流量で38℃であった。繊維は、0.3ミクロンの繊維直径を有していた。表面安定性試験を実施し、得られた表面安定性指標は14.3kN/m(81.5lbf/インチ)であった。
実施例2では、国際公開第03/080905号パンフレットに記載されているように、24%のポリアミド−6,6のギ酸溶液を電気ブロー加工によって紡糸した。紡糸口金に加えた電圧は85kVであり、1cm間隔に配置されたノズルの孔を用いて、1.0cc/孔/分の押出量でポリマー溶液を紡糸した。実施例2は、コレクターの真空度が80mm水柱、乾燥機の真空度が20mm水柱において、70gsmのポリエステルスクリムまたは支持体層上に回収した。ライン・スピードは25m/分であった。また坪量が1.2gsmのウェブを製造した。紡糸における室温はおよそ27℃であり、室内湿度は80%であった。金型からコレクターまでの距離は420mmに設定した。プロセスガス温度は、ノズル幅1メートル当たり4m3/分のそれぞれの流量で38℃であった。繊維は、0.3ミクロンの繊維直径を有していた。表面安定性指標を検査すると、7.97kN/m(45.5lbf/インチ)であった。
比較例Aでは、国際公開第03/080905号パンフレットに記載されているようにして、24%のポリアミド−6,6のギ酸溶液を電気ブロー加工によって紡糸した。紡糸口金に加えた電圧は85kVであり、1cm間隔に配置されたノズルの孔を用いて、1.0cc/孔/分の押出量でポリマー溶液を紡糸した。繊維は、コレクターの真空度が80mm水柱、乾燥機の真空度が20mm水柱において、75gsmのポリエステルスクリムまたは支持体層上に回収した。ライン・スピードは15m/分であった。また坪量が2gsmのウェブを製造した。紡糸における室温はおよそ31℃であり、室内湿度は50%であった。金型からコレクターまでの距離は400mmに設定した。プロセスガス温度は、ノズル幅1メートル当たり4m3/分のそれぞれの流量で58℃であった。繊維は、0.6ミクロンの繊維直径を有していた。表面安定性指標を検査すると、4.25kN/m(24.3lbf/インチ)であった。
以下に本発明の態様を示す。
1.ナノ繊維層と支持体層とを含む濾過媒体であって、前記ナノ繊維層が、ポリマー材料を含み、かつ約0.01〜1.0ミクロンの繊維直径、約0.5〜30gsmの坪量、および少なくとも約2ミクロンの厚さを有し、前記ナノ繊維層が少なくとも約5kN/mの表面安定性指標をさらに有し、前記媒体はさらにプリーツを付けられている、濾過媒体。
2.上記1に記載の濾過媒体を含む、フィルター。
3.前記支持体層が、スパンボンド繊維、乾式または湿式繊維、セルロース繊維、メルトブローン繊維、ガラス繊維、またはそれらのブレンドを含んでいる不織布を含む、上記1に記載の濾過媒体。
Claims (2)
- ナノ繊維層と支持体層とからなる濾過媒体であって、前記ナノ繊維層が、ポリマー材料を含み、かつ0.01〜1.0ミクロンの繊維直径、0.5〜30gsmの坪量、および少なくとも2ミクロンの厚さを有し、前記ナノ繊維層が7.97〜14.3kN/mの表面安定性指標を有し、前記媒体はさらにプリーツを付けられていて、ナノ繊維層が、電気ブロー加工法によって製造されたものである、濾過媒体。
- 請求項1に記載の濾過媒体を含む、フィルター。
