Claims (5)
- 電解質の両側に一対の電極を配設した電解質・電極構造体と金属セパレータとが交互に積層され、2つの前記電解質・電極構造体及び2つの前記金属セパレータを有するセルユニットを備える燃料電池であって、
少なくとも1つの前記金属セパレータは、内部に冷却媒体をセパレータ面方向に流通させる冷却媒体流路が形成される2枚のプレートで構成されており、
2つの前記電解質・電極構造体の外周には、それぞれ樹脂枠部材が一体に設けられ、前記樹脂枠部材の互いに対向する一方の2辺には、積層方向に貫通し、反応ガスを流通させる反応ガス入口連通孔及び反応ガス出口連通孔が設けられる一方、
前記樹脂枠部材の互いに対向する他方の2辺には、前記積層方向に貫通し、前記反応ガス入口連通孔又は前記反応ガス出口連通孔に近接して冷却媒体を流通させる一対の冷却媒体入口連通孔、及び前記反応ガス出口連通孔又は前記反応ガス入口連通孔に近接して前記冷却媒体を流通させる一対の冷却媒体出口連通孔が設けられるとともに、
前記冷却媒体入口連通孔及び前記冷却媒体出口連通孔と前記冷却媒体流路とを連通する連結流路を備え、
前記連結流路は、少なくとも1つの前記金属セパレータに設けられる貫通孔、及び少なくとも1つの前記樹脂枠部材に設けられる貫通孔を有することを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1記載の燃料電池において、前記樹脂枠部材は、セパレータ面外に外側シールラインを有し且つセパレータ面内に内側シールラインを有する2重シールラインを設けるとともに、
互いに隣接する一方の前記樹脂枠部材の前記2重シールラインの一部と他方の前記樹脂枠部材の前記2重シールラインの一部とは、該樹脂枠部材の面方向において異なる位置に配置されることにより、一方の前記樹脂枠部材と他方の前記樹脂枠部材との間に前記連結流路を形成することを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項1又は2記載の燃料電池において、2枚の前記プレートは、互いに外形が同一形状を有することを特徴とする燃料電池。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の燃料電池において、前記連結流路は、前記積層方向に隣接する前記樹脂枠部材間に前記セパレータ面方向に沿って設けられる溝部と、
一方の前記樹脂枠部材に前記積層方向に形成され、前記溝部に連通する第1孔部と、
一方の前記樹脂枠部材に隣接する一方の前記プレートに前記積層方向に形成され、前記第1孔部と前記冷却媒体流路とを連通する第2孔部と、
を有することを特徴とする燃料電池。 - 請求項4記載の燃料電池において、前記溝部は、一方の前記樹脂枠部材に設けられる第1溝部と、
一方の前記樹脂枠部材に積層される他方の前記樹脂枠部材に設けられる第2溝部と、
を有するとともに、
前記第1溝部と前記第2溝部とは、端部同士が連通することを特徴とする燃料電池。
