Description
(実施例1)
<磁石素体の作製>
粉末冶金法によって、Nd−Dy−Fe−B系合金からなるインゴットを得た。このインゴットの組成は、Nd含有率:27.4質量%、Dy含有率:3質量%、Fe含有率:68.6質量%、B含有率:1質量%、であった。このインゴットを、スタンプミル及びボールミルにより粉砕して、上記組成の合金微粉末を得た。
磁石素体に、アルカリ脱脂処理、水洗、硝酸溶液による酸洗浄処理、水洗、超音波洗浄によるスマット除去処理、水洗及び乾燥を順次行う前処理を施した。
以下の組成を有する塩浴熱処理剤(塩浴処理ソルト)を調製した。
シアン化ナトリウム(NaCN):60質量%
塩化ナトリウム(NaCl):35質量%
炭酸ナトリウム(Na2CO3):5質量%
希土類焼結磁石をアルゴンガス雰囲気下、600℃で1時間保持して、磁石素体に時効処理を施した。以上の工程によって、実施例1の希土類焼結磁石を得た。
得られた希土類焼結磁石の表面のX線回折分析を行った。図5(a)のチャートAは、実施例1の希土類焼結磁石のX線回折チャート(CuKα)である。X線回折分析の結果、希土類焼結磁石の表面部の主成分は、鉄の窒化物[ε−Fe2−3N]であった。
塩浴処理用の塩浴熱処理剤として、以下の組成を有するものを用いたこと、及び溶融塩の温度を580℃としたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして希土類焼結磁石を作製した。これを、実施例2の希土類焼結磁石とした。
シアン酸カリウム(KCNO):55質量%
炭酸カリウム(K2CO3):10質量%
粉末冶金法によって、Nd−Dy−Fe−Co−B系合金からなるインゴットを得た。このインゴットの組成は、Nd含有率:27.4質量%、Dy含有率:3質量%、Fe含有率:61.4質量%、Co含有率:7.2質量%、B含有率:1質量%であった。このインゴットを、スタンプミル及びボールミルにより粉砕して、上記組成の合金微粉末を得た。この合金微粉末を、実施例1の合金微粉末に代えて用いたこと以外は、実施例1と同様にして希土類焼結磁石を作製した。これを、実施例3の希土類焼結磁石とした。
実施例1と同様にして磁石素体を作製し、前処理を行った。前処理した磁石素体を真空製膜チャンバー内に配置した後、真空排気を行って、真空製膜チャンバー内を1×10−3Pa以下にまで減圧した。そして、以下の条件で磁石素体にプラズマ窒化処理を施して、希土類焼結磁石を得た。
ガス流量:600ml/分(導入ガスの流量は、温度及び圧力を、25℃及び1気圧に換算した値である。)
チャンバー内の圧力:800Pa
磁石素体の表面温度:550℃
高周波電力:300W
処理時間:3時間
実施例1と同様にして、磁石素体を作製した。その後、前処理及び塩浴処理を行わずに、実施例1と同様の時効処理を施し、実施例1と同様にして希土類焼結磁石を作製した。これを比較例1の希土類焼結磁石とした。実施例1と同様にして、この希土類焼結磁石の分析を行った。
実施例1と同様にして、合金微粉末を調製した。この合金微粉末をアンモニアガス雰囲気下、温度400℃で10分間保持して、合金微粉末の窒素拡散処理を行った。窒素拡散処理を施した合金微粉末を用いたこと以外は、比較例1と同様にして希土類焼結磁石を作製した。これを比較例2の希土類焼結磁石とした。実施例1と同様にして、この希土類焼結磁石の分析を行った。
焼結体を作製した後、焼結体の冷却をアルゴンガスの代わりに窒素ガスを導入して行ったこと以外は、比較例1と同様にして希土類焼結磁石を作製した。これを比較例3の希土類焼結磁石とした。実施例1と同様にして、この希土類焼結磁石の分析を行った。
実施例1と同様にして磁石素体を作製し、前処理を行った。前処理した磁石素体を大気中、温度400℃で10分間保持して、磁石素体に酸化処理を施し、希土類焼結磁石を得た。その後、常温の大気中に放置して希土類焼結磁石を冷却した。この希土類焼結磁石に、実施例1と同様の時効処理を施した。これを比較例4の希土類焼結磁石とした。そして、実施例1と同様にして、得られた希土類焼結磁石の分析を行った。
各実施例及び各比較例で得られた希土類焼結磁石を試料として、耐食性及び磁気特性を以下の手順で評価した。
飽和水蒸気が存在する雰囲気下、試料温度:121℃の条件下で、プレッシャークッカー試験(PCT)を行った。この条件下で試料を100時間保持し、保持後の試料の表面状態を目視で観察する目視試験を行った。目視試験は以下の基準で評価した。評価結果を表1に示す。
「B」・・・PCT後は、試料の表面が黒色に変化しており、粉落ちがあった。
BHトレーサを用いて、以下の手順で試料の最大BH積を測定した。東英工業(株)製のMODEL TRF−5BH(商品名)を用いて、磁場を0[kA/m]→2000[kA/m]→0[kA/m]→−2000[kA/m]の順に印加し、スイープ速度:80[kA/m・s]でスイープさせた際の磁束密度[kg/s2・A]を計測した。このようにして減磁曲線を得た後、最大BH積を求めた。評価結果を表1に示す。
なお、時効処理条件の最適化を図るため、各実施例及び各比較例の希土類焼結磁石の時効処理時における保持温度を変えて、最適な時効処理温度を調査した。保持温度:480℃、520℃、560℃、600℃、640℃、680℃で、それぞれ時効処理を行って、上記同様の耐食性評価及び磁気特性評価を行った。その結果、いずれの実施例及び比較例においても、保持温度を600℃にした時に、最も優れた耐食性及び磁気特性を有する希土類焼結磁石を得ることができた。
Claims (5)
- R−T−B系合金と遷移元素の窒化物とを含有し、
前記窒化物が表面部に偏在し、
前記窒化物はT x N y を含む、
希土類焼結磁石。
(但し、Rは希土類元素を示し、Tは鉄及びコバルトの少なくとも一方からなる元素を示し、Bはホウ素を示し、Nは窒素を示し、x及びyはそれぞれ0を超える数値を示し、x/y=2〜4を満たす。) - 前記窒化物を実質的に含有しない第1の領域と、前記第1の領域を覆う、前記窒化物を含有する第2の領域とを有する、請求項1に記載の希土類焼結磁石。
- 表面から深さ2μmまでの部分を前記表面部としたときに、
前記表面部における前記窒化物の含有率が、窒素換算で1〜11質量%である、請求項1又は2に記載の希土類焼結磁石。 - 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の希土類焼結磁石を備える回転機。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の希土類焼結磁石を備える往復動モータ。
