Description
−オレフィンメタセシス:メタセシスによるエチレンからのプロピレンの生成は、90%未満の収率レベルをもたらす。したがって、プロピレンの生成コストはエチレンのものよりも高くなり、エチレンのコストが低い場合、又はプロピレン需要レベルがその高い値に見合う場合にのみ、この経路の使用が正当化される。
−オレフィン相互変換:この経路は、4個及び5個の炭素原子の炭化水素流の接触分解に基づいている。この経路は、これらの流れが大量に利用可能な場所でのみ正当化できる。
−メタノールを介する生成:この経路には、比較的高い資本コストがかかることが明白であり、低コストで天然ガスが利用可能な場合にのみ正当化できる。低コストの天然ガスから大容量の製造設備で生成される、メタノールを介するオレフィンの生成に関するさらなる詳細は、参照文献「UOPメタノールからのオレフィン(UOP Methanol to Olefins)」、Abe Gelbein、PEP Review 2001−11、2003年9月、SRI International及び「Lurgi MTP法によるメタノールからのプロピレン(Methanol to Propylene by the Lurgi MTP Process)」、David Netzer、PEP Review 98−13、2002年8月、SRI Internationalで得ることができる。
刈取り機を使用して、発酵可能な糖(ショ糖、グルコース及びフルクトース)13.0%、バガス13.7%並びに葉及び植物の先端部14.0%を含有するサトウキビ1,000トンを収穫した。糖及びバガスの総量を入れた梱を、特定の平台ローダー上に載せ、サトウキビ植物の葉及び先端部の100%を土壌の上に散布して、土壌保護のための枯草の覆いを形成した。梱を蒸留施設に輸送した。
実施例1では、エタノールを生成しそれを脱水して、サトウキビからエチレンを生成することを企図し、この生成は、サトウキビの処理から生じる残渣からのプロピレン生成と統合される。本明細書に示されている全てのパーセントは、重量パーセントである。
実施例1で得られたプロピレンのサンプルを、チーグラーナッタ触媒を使用して4リットルの容量の反応器中、70℃及び30バールの圧力で塊状重合した。反応の2時間後、ポリプロピレン310グラムを生成した。
Claims (17)
- 再生可能な農業天然原料から1つ又は複数のオレフィンを生成する統合された方法であって、
(i)リグノセルロース成分、及び糖及び/又はデンプンと、任意に油又は脂肪とを含む再生可能な農業天然原料の残渣のガス化反応によって、一酸化炭素及び水素の混合物(合成ガス)を生成し、
(ii)ステップ(i)で発生した合成ガスからメタノールを形成し、
(iii)ステップ(ii)で得られたメタノールを、直接1つ又は複数のオレフィンに変換するか、又は中間体であるジメチルエーテルを介して間接的に1つ又は複数のオレフィンに変換するステップを含み、
再生可能な農業天然原料を処理してエチレンにする方法であって、エタノール発酵でエタノールを産生する工程と該エタノールを脱水してエチレンを産生する工程とを含む第2の方法と統合され、該第2の方法で生じた過剰なリグノセルロース材料がステップ(i)のガス化反応に向けられると共に、
(a)前記ガス化反応の副産物として得られるか、又は前記第2の方法でのアルコール発酵から発生した二酸化炭素が、水素又は農業原材料由来の炭素質材料との反応によって一酸化炭素に還元され、メタノール形成ステップ(ii)に向けられる補完的な量の合成ガスを発生するステップ、
(b)ステップ(iii)、及び前記第2の方法におけるエタノールの脱水工程において副産物として生じた水が、前記第2の方法における発酵で使用されるジュースの濃度を調製するため、又は該水の電気分解により水素を生成するために再利用されるステップ、並びに
(c)ガス化反応器を出た流れ及びメタノールからのオレフィン形成ステップを出た流れが、該再生可能な天然原料の残渣の残留湿度をガス化反応で必要なレベルまで低減し、或いはガス化反応器の充填物、脱水反応器に供給されるメタノール及び/又はジメチルエーテルを予熱するために必要な熱を提供するステップ
のステップの少なくとも1つを含むことを特徴とする、方法。 - 前記1つ又は複数のオレフィンが、エチレン、プロピレン、及び任意選択でブチレンを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップ(i)のガス化反応が、700℃〜1,500℃の範囲の温度と、1〜25バールの圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 任意選択でステップ(i)より先に、前記再生可能な天然原料の残渣を酸素の不存在下で熱分解する過程を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から3の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記熱分解過程が、100℃及び700℃の温度と、1バール及び10バールの間の圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- ステップ(iii)の1つ又は複数のオレフィンへのメタノールの変換が、250℃及び800℃の間の温度と、10kPa及び100kPaの間の圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項1から5の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記再生可能な農業天然原料の残渣が、サトウキビ、トウモロコシ又はソルガムから生じることを特徴とする、請求項1から6の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記再生可能な農業天然原料の残渣が、サトウキビバガス及び藁、トウモロコシ藁及び穂軸、並びにソルガム藁からなる群から選択されることを特徴とする、請求項7に記載の方法。
- 前記第2の方法が、前記再生可能な農業天然原料に含まれる糖又はデンプンの発酵してエタノール及び二酸化炭素を生成し、生成されたエタノールの脱水でエチレン及び水を生成することを特徴とする、請求項1〜8の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記再生可能な農業天然原料に見られるデンプンは、予め加水分解されている、請求項9に記載の方法。
- 前記発酵ステップにおいて、酵母サッカロマイセスセレビシエ(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)が使用されることを特徴とする、請求項9又は10に記載の方法。
- 前記発酵ステップから生じた果醪が、エタノール生成のための蒸留過程にかけられることを特徴とする、請求項9から11の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- エチレンを得るために、前記エタノールが脱水されることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記水素での二酸化炭素の還元が、300℃及び800℃の間の温度と、1バール及び100バールの間の圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項1から13の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 前記炭素質材料での二酸化炭素の還元が、550〜1,100℃の範囲の温度と、4バール及び150バールの間の圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項1から13の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 都市生活上若しくは産業上の残渣、又は漁業、動物育種若しくは採掘活動から生じた残渣を、前記第2の方法で生じた残渣に添加し、それらを前記ガス化反応に供することを特徴とする、請求項1から15の何れか1項に記載の方法。
- 生成したオレフィンの量が、メタノールに対して65%及び90%の間、又はそれを超える全炭素収率に相当することを特徴とする、請求項1から16の何れか1項に記載の方法。
