Abstract
Description
−オレフィンメタセシス:メタセシスによるエチレンからのプロピレンの生成は、90%未満の収率レベルをもたらす。したがって、プロピレンの生成コストはエチレンのものよりも高くなり、エチレンのコストが低い場合、又はプロピレン需要レベルがその高い値に見合う場合にのみ、この経路の使用が正当化される。
−オレフィン相互変換:この経路は、4個及び5個の炭素原子の炭化水素流の接触分解に基づいている。この経路は、これらの流れが大量に利用可能な場所でのみ正当化できる。
−メタノールを介する生成:この経路には、比較的高い資本コストがかかることが明白であり、低コストで天然ガスが利用可能な場合にのみ正当化できる。低コストの天然ガスから大容量の製造設備で生成される、メタノールを介するオレフィンの生成に関するさらなる詳細は、参照文献「UOPメタノールからのオレフィン(UOP Methanol to Olefins)」、Abe Gelbein、PEP Review 2001−11、2003年9月、SRI International及び「Lurgi MTP法によるメタノールからのプロピレン(Methanol to Propylene by the Lurgi MTP Process)」、David Netzer、PEP Review 98−13、2002年8月、SRI Internationalで得ることができる。
刈取り機を使用して、発酵可能な糖(ショ糖、グルコース及びフルクトース)13.0%、バガス13.7%並びに葉及び植物の先端部14.0%を含有するサトウキビ1,000トンを収穫した。糖及びバガスの総量を入れた梱を、特定の平台ローダー上に載せ、サトウキビ植物の葉及び先端部の100%を土壌の上に散布して、土壌保護のための枯草の覆いを形成した。梱を蒸留施設に輸送した。
実施例1では、エタノールを生成しそれを脱水して、サトウキビからエチレンを生成することを企図し、この生成は、サトウキビの処理から生じる残渣からのプロピレン生成と統合される。本明細書に示されている全てのパーセントは、重量パーセントである。
実施例1で得られたプロピレンのサンプルを、チーグラーナッタ触媒を使用して4リットルの容量の反応器中、70℃及び30バールの圧力で塊状重合した。反応の2時間後、ポリプロピレン310グラムを生成した。
Claims (29)
- (i)再生可能な天然原料の残渣に含まれるリグノセルロース材料及び/又は他の有機成分のガス化反応によって、一酸化炭素及び水素の混合物(合成ガス)を生成するステップ、
(ii)ステップ(i)で発生した合成ガスからメタノールを形成するステップ、並びに
(iii)ステップ(ii)で得られたメタノールを、中間体であるジメチルエーテルから直接又は間接的に1つ又は複数のオレフィンに変換するステップ
を含む、少なくとも1つの再生可能な天然原料の残渣の使用に基づくことを特徴とする、1つ又は複数のオレフィンの生成方法。 - 任意選択でステップ(i)より先に、少なくとも1つの再生可能な天然原料の残渣の熱分解過程が酸素なしで行われることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの再生可能な天然原料の残渣が、農作物からの残渣、都市生活上若しくは産業上の残渣、又は漁業、動物育種又は採掘活動から生じた残渣であり、但しそれらがガス化できることを特徴とする、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの再生可能な天然原料の残渣が、糖、デンプン、リグノセルロース成分、油、脂肪又は他の有機材料の中の、高含量の1つ又は複数の成分を有することを特徴とする、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 少なくとも1つの再生可能な天然原料の残渣が、サトウキビバガス及び藁、トウモロコシ藁及び穂軸、並びにソルガム藁などのサトウキビ、トウモロコシ又はソルガムから生じることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記1つ又は複数のオレフィンが、プロピレン並びに任意選択でエチレン及びブチレンを含むことを特徴とする、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- ステップ(i)のガス化反応が、700℃〜1,500℃の範囲の温度及び1〜25バールの圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記熱分解過程が、100℃及び700℃の間の絶対温度並びに1バール及び10バールの間の絶対圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- ステップ(iii)の1つ又は複数のオレフィンへのメタノールの変換が、250℃及び800℃の間の温度及び10kPa及び100kPaの間の圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 生成したオレフィンの量が、メタノールに対して65%及び90%の間、又はそれを超える全炭素収率に相当することを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップ(iii)が、追加の副産物としての天然ガス、LPG及びガソリンの特徴と類似した特徴を有する流れを発生することを特徴とする、請求項1又は請求項9に記載の方法。
- 再生可能な農業天然原料の処理法と統合されることを特徴とする、請求項1又は請求項2に記載の方法。
- 再生可能な農業天然原料の処理法で生じた残渣が、ステップ(i)の熱分解過程又はガス化反応を対象とすることを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記処理法が、糖又はデンプンの発酵を含み、但し再生可能な農業天然原料に見られるデンプンが、予め加水分解されており、それによってエタノール及び二酸化炭素を生成することを特徴とする、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記発酵ステップにおいて、酵母サッカロマイセスセレビシエ(Saccharomyces cerevisiae)が使用されることを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 前記発酵ステップから生じた果醪が、エタノール生成のための蒸留過程にかけられることを特徴とする、請求項14又は請求項15に記載の方法。
- エチレンを得るために、前記エタノールが脱水されることを特徴とする、請求項16に記載の方法。
- 前記発酵で発生した二酸化炭素が、水素と、又は炭素、酸素及び水素を含有する有機材料と反応することによって一酸化炭素に還元され、補完的な量の合成ガスを発生することを特徴とする、請求項14に記載の方法。
- 水素での二酸化炭素の還元が、300℃及び800℃の間の温度並びに1バール及び100バールの間の圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 有機材料での二酸化炭素の還元が、550〜1,100℃の範囲の温度及び4バール及び150バールの間の圧力で行われることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- 水素が、水電解反応から生じることを特徴とする、請求項18に記載の方法。
- メタノールからの1つ又は複数のオレフィンの生成、及びエタノールの脱水過程において副産物として生じた水が、発酵用のジュースの濃度を調節するためのサトウキビジュースの抽出に使用でき、或いは二酸化炭素の還元に有用な水素発生のための、及びガス化反応に使用される酸素の発生のための水電解において使用できることを特徴とする、請求項1から21までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記過程で発生した高温の幾つかの流れが、サトウキビバガス及び藁、トウモロコシ植物の葉、茎及び穂軸、並びに高含水量の他のバイオマスの残留湿度をガス化過程に必要なレベルに低減し、或いは脱水反応器に供給される熱分解及びガス化反応器内の充填物、メタノール及び/又はジメチルエーテルの充填物、或いはエタノールの充填物を予熱するために必要な熱を提供することを特徴とする、請求項1から22までのいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記高温流が、ガス化反応器を出た流れ及びメタノールからのオレフィン形成ステップから出た流れを含むことを特徴とする、請求項23に記載の方法。
- ASTM D6866−06標準に従う試験法によって決定して、再生可能な天然源からの炭素を少なくとも50%含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から24までのいずれか一項に記載の方法によって生成されるオレフィン。
- ASTM D6866−06標準に従う試験法によって決定して、再生可能な天然源からの炭素を少なくとも80%含むことを特徴とする、請求項25に記載のオレフィン。
- ナフサ、天然ガス、石炭、再生プラスチック及び熱電力発生設備からの燃焼ガスなどの、非天然(化石)由来の原材料の供給源を使用することを特徴とする、請求項25又は請求項26に記載のオレフィン。
- ASTM D6866−06標準に従う試験法によって決定して、再生可能な天然源からの炭素を100%含むことを特徴とする、請求項26に記載のオレフィン。
- 請求項25から28までのいずれか一項に定義のオレフィンに由来することを特徴とするポリマー。
