かるとともに他の物理的損傷を与え得るという欠点がある。加える陰圧が大きすぎることは、卵母細胞の透明帯を傷付ける可能性があるため、卵母細胞吸引中の共通の懸念である。また、加える陰圧は、標準圧力環境での作業時には1atm(101.3kPa)を超過することができない。さらに、細い針には、太い針よりも曲がりやすいためユーザがより操作し難いという欠点もある。
回収針の第1の管状領域の内径は、常に卵母細胞回収中の特定の種の卵母細胞の直径と少なくとも同程度に大きくあるべきである。試料が卵母細胞ではない場合、内径は、回収される試料の損傷を受けやすい部分の直径と少なくとも同程度に大きくあるべきである。
真空が加えられ、これにより、試料が矢印Aの方向で針に入る。試料は、試料採取針632の後端640を通って採取容器(図示せず)に引き込まれる。
本発明による針を、実験状況下及び臨床状況下で分析した。
(a)細い針、(b)本発明による針、(c)標準針、及び(d)調整済み標準針を用いて、吸引時間及び回収される試料の温度変化を分析した。針の直径は、表1に示す。
本発明による試料採取針(表1の針b)を、標準針(表1の針c)と臨床的に比較した。これらの針を用いて、女性被験者から卵母細胞を回収した。
Claims (22)
- 第2の管状領域と流体連通する第1の管状領域を備え、該第1の管状領域がヒト被験体への挿入用の前端を備え、前記第2の管状領域が流体を収容する手段と流体連通する後端を備え、前記第1の管状領域が前記第2の管状領域の外径よりも小さな外径を有し、前記第1の管状領域の外径が、0.6mm〜1.2mmであり、前記第1の管状領域が前記第2の管状領域の内径よりも小さな内径を有し、前記第1の管状領域の内径が、約0.2mm以上であり、前記第1の管状領域及び前記第2の管状領域が、合わせて150mm〜500mmの長さを有し、前記第1の管状領域の長さが、約30mm〜約100mmである、ヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針であって、使用の際、前記第2の管状領域は、膣を通り抜けるのに適した長さを有し、前記第1の管状領域は、前記第2の管状領域を前記ヒト被験体の組織に穿通させることなく前記卵母細胞に接触するために卵母細胞が位置付けられている組織を穿通するのに適した長さを有する、ヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域の内径が、約0.4mm以上である、請求項1に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域の内径が、約0.6mm以上である、請求項2に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第2の管状領域の内径が、約0.9mm以上である、請求項1ないし3のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第2の管状領域の内径が、約1.1mm以上である、請求項4に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第2の管状領域の内径が、約1.2mm以上である、請求項5に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域の外径が、0.8mm〜1.0mmである、請求項1ないし6のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域の外径が、約0.9mmである、請求項7に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第2の管状領域の外径が、約1.1mm以上である、請求項1ないし8のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第2の管状領域の外径が、約1.2mm以上である、請求項9に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第2の管状領域の外径が、約1.4mm以上である、請求項10に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域及び前記第2の管状領域が、テーパ領域を介して接続されている、請求項1ないし11のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域及び前記第2の管状領域が、合わせて200mm〜400mmの長さを有する、請求項1ないし12のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域の長さが、約40mm以上である、請求項1ないし13のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域の長さが、約60mm以下である、請求項1ないし14のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域が、ステンレス鋼、炭素繊維、硬質プラスチック、セラミック、及びガラスから選択される1つ又は複数の材料から形成される、請求項1ないし15のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第1の管状領域が、AISI304、AISI316、SIS2346、及びSIS2543から選択される1つ又は複数のステンレス鋼から形成される、請求項16に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第2の管状領域が、ステンレス鋼、炭素繊維、硬質プラスチック、セラミック、及びガラスから選択される材料を含む、請求項1ないし17のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記第2の管状領域が、AISI304、AISI316、SIS2346、及びSIS2543から選択されるステンレス鋼を含む、請求項18に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記針が単一の材料片から形成される、請求項1ないし19のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
- 前記ヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針がシングルルーメン針である、請求項1ないし20のいずれか1項に記載のヒト経膣卵母細胞回収針。
