- ケーブルアッセンブリ(10)であって、

前記導体(14)にかしめられた端子(12)とを含み、
前記端子(12)は、互いに間隔が隔てられた複数のかしめ部(16、18)と、これらのかしめ部間に配置された移行かしめ部(20)を有し、
前記複数のかしめ部のうちの少なくとも一つのかしめ部(16)は、前記導体(14)に、前記複数のかしめ部のうちの別のかしめ部(18)よりも強くかしめられることによって、前記導体(14)と前記端子(12)との間の電気的連結を最大にし、
前記複数のかしめ部のうちの少なくとも一つの別のかしめ部(18)は、前記導体(14)の前記端子(12)からの引き出し強度を最大にし
前記複数のかしめ部のうちの一つのかしめ部(16)は、前記導体(14)に、前記移行かしめ部(20)よりも強くかしめられており、
前記移行かしめ部(20)は、前記導体(14)に、前記複数のかしめ部のうちの別のかしめ部(18)よりも強くかしめられており、
前記少なくとも一つのかしめ部(16)と前記別のかしめ部(18)と前記移行かしめ部(20)の3つのかしめ部(16、18、20)の全てが、前記導体(14)にかしめられている、ケーブルアッセンブリ(10)。 - 請求項1に記載のケーブルアッセンブリ(10)において、
前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)及び前記移行かしめ部(20)は、前記端子(12)と一体的に成形されている、ケーブルアッセンブリ(10)。 - 請求項1に記載のケーブルアッセンブリ(10)において、
前記移行かしめ部(20)は、前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)の各々の間に移行部を設けるように形成された所定のかしめ高さを有する、ケーブルアッセンブリ(10)。 - 請求項1に記載のケーブルアッセンブリ(10)において、
前記複数のかしめ部のうちの一つのかしめ部(16)のかしめ高さは、前記複数のかしめ部のうちの別のかしめ部(18)のかしめ高さよりも約0.35mm小さい、ケーブルアッセンブリ(10)。 - 請求項1に記載のケーブルアッセンブリ(10)において、
前記導体(14)は、アルミニウム又はアルミニウムをベースとした材料を含む、ケーブルアッセンブリ(10)。 - 請求項1に記載のケーブルアッセンブリ(10)において、
前記端子(12)は、USCAR21の要件を満たす、ケーブルアッセンブリ(10)。 - 請求項1に記載のケーブルアッセンブリ(10)において、
前記端子(12)は、USCAR20の要件を満たす、ケーブルアッセンブリ(10)。 - 端子(12)を導体(14)の周囲で変形させて、かしめ高さが異なる複数のかしめ部(16、18)を形成する工程と、
前記端子(12)を前記導体(14)の周囲で変形させ、前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)の各々とかしめ高さが異なる移行かしめ部(20)を前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)間に形成する工程とを含み、
前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)のうちの少なくとも一つのかしめ部(16)が、前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)のうちの一つのかしめ部(16)が前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)のうちの別のかしめ部(18)よりも前記導体(14)に強くかしめられることによって、前記導体(14)と前記端子(12)との間の電気的接触を最大にし、
前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)のうちの別のかしめ部(18)が、前記導体(14)の前記端子(12)からの引き出し強度を最大にし、
前記端子(12)を変形させて前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)を形成する工程は、前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)のうちの一つかしめ部(16)が前記移行かしめ部(20)よりも前記導体(14)に強くかしめられるように、前記端子(12)をかしめる工程を含み、
前記端子(12)を変形させて前記移行かしめ部(20)を形成する工程は、前記移行かしめ部(20)が前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)のうちの別のかしめ部(18)よりも前記導体(14)に強くかしめられるように、前記端子(12)をかしめる工程を含み、
前記少なくとも一つのかしめ部(16)と前記別のかしめ部(18)と前記移行かしめ部(20)の3つのかしめ部(16、18、20)の全てが、前記導体(14)にかしめられている、方法。 - 請求項8に記載の方法において、
前記端子(12)を変形させて前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)を形成する工程は、前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)のうちの一つのかしめ部のかしめ高さが、前記複数のかしめ部(16、18)のうちの別のかしめ部のかしめ高さよりも約0.35mm小さいようにかしめを行う工程を含む、方法。 - 請求項8に記載の方法において、
前記導体(14)は、アルミニウム又はアルミニウムをベースとした材料を含む、方法。 - 請求項8に記載の方法において、
