Description
本出願は、2001年7月26日に出願されて「生体内撮像装置において照明または撮像器の利得を制御するための装置および方法(APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING ILLUMINATION OR IMAGER GAIN IN AN IN-VIVO IMAGING DEVICE)」と題された先行の米国仮出願第60/307,603号から利益を請求する。
体内の通路または空洞を生体内で撮像するための装置および方法が、当該技術において公知である。このような装置は、特に、さまざまな内部の体腔において撮像を行なうためのさまざまな内視鏡的撮像システムおよび装置を含み得る。
この発明の実施例は、生体内撮像装置を作動させるための装置および方法を含み、この装置が生成した照明は、たとえば、装置が生成して、装置に再び反射された照明の量に従って、強度および/または持続時間を変化させることができる。このような態様で照明を制御して、効率を一層高めることができる。

Claims (9)
- 光源を含む生体内撮像カプセルの作動方法であって、前記カプセルが、複数の画素を含む撮像器を備え、前記複数の画素が、複数の制御画素を含んでおり、
前記方法が、
各撮像期間が照明期間と暗い期間とを含む複数の撮像期間にわたり、
前記光源を作動させ、
前記撮像器に反射した光の量を、前記制御画素に記録し、
一定量の光が記録されたとき前記光源の動作を停止する段階と、を含み
前記制御画素によって記録された光の量は、前記全ての制御画素に対して測定された平均の光強度を補正することによって、異なる制御画素の露光期間を補償するように補正される、
ことを特徴とする方法。 - 画像を取得するために前記撮像器を走査することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記記録が前記走査とは異なる時間に行われることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記記録において前記制御画素が光を検知し続けるように前記一つ以上の制御画素がリセットされないように構成されている、ことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 生体内撮像カプセルであって、
光源と、
複数の画素を含む撮像器と、
コントローラと、を備え、
前記コントローラは、各撮像期間が照明期間と暗い期間とを含む複数の撮像期間にわたり、
前記光源を動作させ、
複数の制御画素に撮像器に反射した光の量を記録し、及び一定量の光が記録されたとき前記光源の動作を停止させるように構成されており、
前記制御画素によって記録された光の量は、前記全ての制御画素に対して測定された平均の光強度を補正することによって、異なる制御画素の露光期間を補償するように補正される、ことを特徴とする生体内撮像カプセル。 - 前記撮像器が、CMOS撮像器である、請求項5に記載の撮像カプセル。
- 前記コントローラが、画像を取得するために前記撮像器を走査し、前記制御画素を介しての光の量の記録が前記画像を取得するための走査とは異なる時間に行われることを特徴とする、請求項6に記載の撮像カプセル。
- 前記撮像器が走査されるとき前記制御画素が前記画像の一部を取得するために読み出されることを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記複数の画素の制御画素は撮像器の中心に関して対称的に配置されている、請求項5に記載の撮像カプセル。
