Description
また、LNG貯蔵タンクで発生した蒸発ガスを圧縮し、ディーゼルエンジンの燃料として使用する二重燃料ディーゼル電気推進システム(dual fuel diesel electric propulsion system)は、スチームタービン推進方式に比べて効率は高くなるが、中速エンジンと電気推進装置が複雑なので装備の維持・補修に問題点が多い。また、このような方式は蒸発ガスを燃料として供給しなければならないので、液体圧縮より設置費及び運転費がかかる気体圧縮方式を適用するしかない。

Claims (3)
- 極低温状態の液化天然ガスを運搬する100000m3以上のLNG貯蔵能力を持つLNG船の貯蔵タンクであって、上記LNG船の運航期間中におけるLNGの蒸発ガスの発生で上記タンクの内部圧力が増加してLNGの飽和温度が上昇することによるLNGの顕熱増加分によって熱を吸収するために、LNGの運送中に上記タンク内の蒸気圧力が0.7気圧まで上昇することを許容するように上記タンクの強度が設定され、
上記タンクに設けられて上記タンクの安全のために開閉される安全弁の開閉圧力値は、上記LNG船が運航する際は0.25超過乃至0.7気圧に設定され、上記タンクにLNGを船積する際は上記LNG船の運航時の開閉圧力値より低く設定され、
上記タンク内部の温度分布を均一にするために、上記タンクの上部の蒸発ガスを上記タンクの下部に噴射して、上記タンクの下部のLNGと上記タンクの上部の蒸発ガスとを混合する手段を備えることを特徴とするLNG船のLNG貯蔵タンク。 - 上記タンクはメンブレイン型タンクであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載のLNG船のLNG貯蔵タンク。
- 上記LNG船はBOG処理手段を有することを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載のLNG船のLNG貯蔵タンク。
