Claims (10)
- ドロー・ダウン・シート・プロセスを利用して上方から下方に移動している脆性材料の帯材から板材を分割する方法において、
前記移動している帯材の第1の面を上流プレスバーと接触させ、該移動している帯材の第2の面を上流裏面支持バーと接触させる工程であって、前記上流プレスバー及び前記上流裏面支持バーは、前記帯材の一部を協働して両側から押さえるために前記帯材とともに移動するものである工程、及び
前記帯材の前記協働して両側から押さえられた部分の下流のスクライブ線に沿って前記帯材から前記板材を分割する工程、
を有してなる方法。 - 前記帯材からの前記板材の分割後に前記帯材の前記協働して両側から押さえられた部分を解放する工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記スクライブ線に対向する前記帯材の前記第2の面に前記上流裏面支持バーを接触させる工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の方法。
- スクライブアンビルとして前記上流裏面支持バーの一部を用いる工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1から3いずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記スクライブ線に沿う分割を誘起するために前記スクライブ線の下流で前記帯材の前記第1の面に向けて下流プレスバーを押し進める工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1から4いずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記帯材からの前記板材の分割に先立ち、副上流裏面支持バーを前記帯材の前記第2の面に接触させる工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1から5いずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記スクライブ線の形成に先立ち、副上流裏面支持バーを前記帯材の前記第2の面に接触させる工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1から5いずれか1項記載の方法。
- 前記スクライブ線に沿う前記板材の分割後に前記帯材の前記部分を押さえる工程をさらに含むことを特徴とする請求項1から7いずれか1項記載の方法。
- ドロー・ダウン・シート・プロセスを利用して上方から下方に移動している脆性材料の帯材から板材を分割するための装置において、
a.スクライブ線の上流で前記帯材の一部を協働して両側から押さえるための、前記帯材の両面のそれぞれに接触し、前記帯材とともに移動する、一対の対向するバー、及び
b.前記スクライブ線に沿って前記帯材から前記板材を分割するために前記スクライブ線の下流で前記帯材に接触する下流プレスバー、
を備えることを特徴とする装置。 - 前記対向するバーが前記スクライブ線の実質的に全長に沿って前記帯材に接触することを特徴とする請求項9に記載の装置。
