Description
Claims (13)
- 予め定められた長さのガラスプリフォームを形成する方法であって、
プリフォームの長さ及び残りの長さを形成するために分離されるガラス材料の長さを提供することと、
前記ガラス材料に切欠きを形成することと、
前記ガラス材料の外側の形状と一致するように形成された衝撃面を含む打撃ツールを使用して前記ガラス材料の一部を歪ませることによって、前記切欠きに隣接する領域のガラスの引張り強さを上回る引張り応力を生じさせることと、
前記切欠きで前記プリフォームの長さを前記残りの長さから分離することと、
を含む方法。 - 前記方法が実行される際、前記ガラス材料の長さが前記ガラス材料の縦軸の方向に連続的に前進する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス材料が略垂直に下の方向に前進する、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス材料の長さが中実または中空の円筒形状である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス材料が2つ以上のガラス材料からなる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ガラス材料が溶融シリカを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記切欠きが前記ガラス材料の長さの縦軸に垂直に形成されている、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記歪みが前記ガラス材料の横の歪みである、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記打撃ツールが弾性層を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記方法が実行される際、前記打撃ツールは、前記ガラス材料の縦軸の方向に前記ガラス材料とともに前進しない、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 予め定められた長さのガラスプリフォームを形成する方法であって、
プリフォームの長さ及び残りの長さを形成するために分離されるガラス材料の長さを提供することと、
前記ガラス材料に切欠きを形成することと、
2つ以上の対向するつかみ具のセットを使用して前記ガラス材料の一部を歪ませることによって、前記切欠きに隣接する領域のガラスの引張り強さを上回る引張り応力を生じさせることと、
前記切欠きで前記プリフォームの長さを前記残りの長さから分離することと、
を含み、
前記2つ以上の対向するつかみ具はそれぞれ、前記ガラス材料を把持する、前記ガラス材料の外面の一部に対応するように形成されたそれぞれの係合表面を有しており、前記2つ以上の対向するつかみ具は、前記歪みを生じさせるために、前記ガラス材料の縦軸に垂直に互いに対して移動される、
方法。 - 前記方法が実行される際、前記ガラス材料の長さが前記ガラス材料の縦軸の方向に連続的に前進する、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記プリフォームの長さを前記残りの長さから分離する前に、前記2つ以上のつかみ具のセットは、前記ガラス材料の長さが前記ガラス材料の縦軸の方向に連続的に前進するとき、当該ガラス材料の長さを把持してそれとともに移動する、請求項12記載の方法。
