Description
図12に示すワークWは、自重が1160kgで、穴ぐりにより形成される孔Waの加工径を直径730mmとした大物ワークである。
即ちワークをテーブルに固定したまま、大物ワークの加工を行うことができるワークの穴
ぐり加工方法を提供することにある。
この構成によれば、加工径が一定のボーリングと異なり、プログラムの変更により加工径を簡単に変更することができ、それにより、テーパ穴等の多彩な穴加工が可能となる。
図1に示すようにマシニングセンタ20は、ベース22上に配置されたテーブル24を備えている。テーブル24は、ワークWを搭載して、図7に示すX軸駆動モータMxにより駆動されて該テーブル24の水平長手方向であるX軸に沿って移動可能である。
さて、上記のように構成されたマシニングセンタ20によるワークWに対する穴ぐり方法について説明する。
なお、ワークWの加工径がワークの下部の方が上部よりも拡径している場合においても、切削チップ172により有効に切削できる条件のもとで穴ぐりを行うことは可能である。
図8に示す寸法関係から、式(1)、式(2)が成立する。ここでB軸をC軸に沿った位置(すなわち、B軸0度)から角度θだけ回転したとき旋削径(すなわち、加工径)はDとなる。又、B軸旋回によりZ軸方向に発生する移動量ΔZを補正量として補正する必要が生じる。又、図8の位置から、下方へθだけB軸を旋回した場合は、移動量ΔZ分だけ長くなるため、これを補正量とした補正が同じく必要となる。なお、図8中、「原点」は、ラム34において、適宜の位置に指定された箇所である。
そして、図11に示すように、アタッチメント350は、取付端面352(図10(a)参照)を主軸ヘッド118の端面116(図9(a)〜(c)参照)に当接させて、図10(a)に示すクランプ受け358が主軸ヘッド118のクランプ装置180によりクランプされることにより、主軸ヘッド118に取付けられる。クランプ装置180によるクランプが解除されることにより、アタッチメント350は、主軸ヘッド118から取り外し可能となる。
なお、本実施形態のように、アタッチメントヘッドの場合は、本実施形態で説明した式(1)、式(2)、式(3)において、スピンドル124(主軸)の中心から切削チップ172の刃先までの距離r1が、本実施形態のものよりも大きく設定されるため、穴ぐり加工の際に切込角の変化を小さくできる。
又、前記各実施形態では、クロスレール30はW軸方向に移動可能であったが、W軸方向に移動不能とし、サドル32に対してラム34のみをZ軸方向に移動可能にしてもよい。

- 水平方向に延びるX軸に沿って相対的に移動するテーブル及び門形のコラムと、該コラ
ムに沿って鉛直方向に延びるZ軸上に固定又はZ軸に沿って昇降するクロスレールと、該
クロスレール上を水平方向に延びるY軸に沿って移動するサドルと、該サドルに支持され
て、前記Z軸に沿って昇降するラムと、該ラムの下端に対して該ラムの軸線であるC軸周
りに旋回自在に取り付けられた主軸ユニットと、該主軸ユニットに対して前記C軸と直交
するB軸周りに旋回自在に取付けられた主軸ヘッドとを備えた5軸加工門形工作機械の穴
ぐり方法であって、
前記サドルのY軸方向の位置決め及び前記テーブルのX軸方向の位置決めを行った後、
前記主軸ユニットをC軸周りに旋回させた状態で前記ラムをZ軸方向に移動させて、前記
主軸ヘッドに取り付けられた非回転切削工具により、前記テーブル上のワークに対して前
記主軸ヘッドの前記B軸周りの位置によって決定される加工径の穴ぐりを行うことを特徴
とする5軸加工門形工作機械によるワークの穴ぐり加工方法。 - 前記ラムをZ軸方向に移動中に、前記主軸ヘッドを前記B軸周りに回転させて、前記ワ
ークの加工径を変更することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の5軸加工門形工作機械による
ワークの穴ぐり加工方法。 - 前記ラムをZ軸方向に沿って移動中に、前記主軸ヘッドを前記B軸周りに回転させて、
前記ワークの加工径を変更する際、前記主軸ヘッドを前記B軸周りに回転させた際の前記
非回転切削工具の切削チップのZ軸方向の移動量に応じて、前記ラムのZ軸方向への移動
量を補正することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の5軸加工門形工作機械によるワークの穴
ぐり加工方法。
