Description
本発明の繊維及び当該繊維を含む不織布を形成するプロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体は、融点(Tm)が第1の発明では130〜147℃の範囲にあり、第2の発明では125〜155℃、好ましくは130〜147℃の範囲にあり、それぞれプロピレンと少量のエチレン、1−ブテン、1−ペンテン、1−ヘキセン、1−オクテン、4−メチル−1−ペンテン等の炭素数2以上、好ましくは2〜8の1種または2種以上のα−オレフィンとの共重合体、好ましくはランダム共重合体である。プロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体におけるα−オレフィンの含有量は、融点(Tm)が上記範囲にある限り、特に限定はされないが、通常1〜10モル%の範囲にある。
本発明に係る非イオン系界面活性剤は脂肪族アルコールのアルキレンオキサイド付加物であり、前記プロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体に添加することにより、得られる繊維の初期親水性および耐久親水性が向上する。本発明に係る脂肪族アルコールのアルキレンオキサイド付加物は、通常、脂肪族アルコールの炭素数が10〜40、好ましくは12〜24、より好ましくは16〜22の、脂肪族アルコールのアルキレンオキサイド付加物からなる。
本発明の繊維及び当該繊維を含む不織布を形成するプロピレン共重合体組成物は、前記プロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体100重量部に対して、前記非イオン系界面活性剤を0.5〜5重量部、好ましくは1〜3重量部含む組成物である。
本発明の繊維及び当該繊維を含む不織布は、前記プロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体と前記非イオン系界面活性剤を含むプロピレン共重合体組成物の繊維及び当該繊維を含む不織布である。
不織布の原料として短繊維を用いる場合は、種々公知の製造方法、例えば、湿式法あるいは乾式法(カード)により製造し得る。
本発明の長繊維不織布は、種々公知の不織布の製造方法により製造し得るが、スパンボンド法により製造する方法が、生産性に優れる点で好ましい。
本発明の吸収性物品は、前記不織布、好ましくは長繊維不織布をトップシート及び/又はセカンドシート、あるいは吸収体を包むシート(コアラップ)に用いてなる吸収性物品である。本発明の吸収性物品は、使い捨ておむつ、パンツあるいは生理用品などを含む。
(1)繰り返し吸収率
長繊維不織布より試料(50mm×200mm)を採取した。アドバンテック社製No.2濾紙を10枚重ね、その上に試料を水平に置いた。試料面より約10mmの高さからスポイトにて人工尿を1滴(約0.3ml)ずつ、20mm間隔で10箇所に静置し、2秒以内に吸収される液滴の数を測定した。これを3分おきに3回繰り返し、吸収された液滴の合計数を30で除し、繰り返し吸収率(%)とした。この数値が大きいほど、親水性が優れると評価した。
(2)液流れ距離
長繊維不織布より試料(50mm×200mm)を採取した。45度に傾斜させて固定した板上に、アドバンテック社製No.2濾紙を5枚重ねて置き、その上に試料を置いて、試料の長手方向の両端を前記濾紙と一緒に板上に固定した。試料面より約10mmの高さからスポイトにて人工尿を1滴(約0.3ml)落下させ、液滴の落下点から液滴が完全に吸収された点までの距離を計測し、液流れ距離(mm)とした。この数値が小さいほど、親水性が優れると評価した。
(3)目付け(g/m2)
長繊維不織布の任意の位置から100mm×100mmの試料を10枚採取し、それぞれの質量(g)を測定した。それらの平均値を求め、1m2当りの質量に換算して目付け(g/m2)とした。
(4)スポット吸収性
ギヤ延伸した長繊維不織布より試料(50mm×200mm)を採取した。45度に傾斜させて固定した板上に、試料の長手方向の両端部分を固定できるように高さ5mm程度の保持部を設け、そこに試料を宙に浮かせる様に両端部分を固定した。次いで、当該試料面より約10mmの高さからスポイトにて人工尿を1滴(約0.3ml)落下させ、液滴の落下点から液滴が完全に吸収された点までの距離を計測し、液拡散距離(mm)とした。この数値が小さいほど、スポット吸収性が優れると評価した。
エイコサノールのエチレンオキサイド付加物〔CH3(CH2)19−O−(CH2CH2O)2.5−H〕:60重量%、およびMFR:30g/10分のプロピレン単独重合体:40重量%に酸化防止剤(Ciba社製、商品名Irgafos 168)を0.05重量部加え、230℃で溶融混練して押出し、ペレット状のマスターバッチ(親水剤―1)を用意した。
実施例1において、PP−1の代わりに融点:162℃、MFR:60g/10分のプロピレン単独重合体(PP−2)を用い、エンボスロールおよび平滑ロールの温度を133℃とする以外は、実施例1と同様にして長繊維不織布を得た。得られた長繊維不織布について、実施例1と同様の測定を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、エイコサノールのエチレンオキサイド付加物の代わりにオクタデカノールのエチレンオキサイド付加物〔CH3(CH2)17−O−(CH2CH2O)2.5−H〕(親水剤―2)を用いる以外は、実施例1と同様にして長繊維不織布を得た。得られた長繊維不織布について、実施例1と同様の測定を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例2において、PP−1の代わりに融点162℃、MFR 60g/10分のプロピレン単独重合体(PP−2)を用い、エンボスロールおよび平滑ロールの温度を133℃とした以外は、実施例2と同様にして長繊維不織布を得た。得られた長繊維不織布について、実施例1と同様の測定を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例1において、PP−1:100重量部に対して親水剤−1を9.1重量部加えて混合し、長繊維不織布製造用のプロピレン共重合体組成物(組成物―2)とし、芯鞘型複合ノズルを用いて芯部を組成物−2、鞘部をPP−1、芯部/鞘部の重量比を30/70として複合溶融紡糸する以外は、実施例1と同様にして長繊維不織布を得た。このとき、紡糸ノズル出口で、白煙は発生しなかった。得られた長繊維不織布について、実施例1と同様の測定を行った。結果を表1に示す。
実施例1で得られた長繊維不織布を、ロール径:100mm、ギヤ刃ピッチ:2.5mmのギヤ延伸機を用い、室温(約25℃)で、ギヤ噛み合い度を1.5mm、2.5mmおよび3.5mmの夫々変更し、処理速度:5m/分で、長繊維不織布を機械方向と直交する方向(横方向)へ延伸した。
Claims (6)
- 融点(Tm)が130〜147℃の範囲にあるプロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体100重量部に対して、脂肪族アルコールのアルキレンオキサイド付加物からなる非イオン系界面活性剤を0.5〜5重量部含むプロピレン共重合体組成物からなる繊維。
- 芯部が、融点(Tm)が125〜155℃の範囲にあるプロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体および脂肪族アルコールのアルキレンオキサイド付加物からなる非イオン系界面活性剤を含むプロピレン共重合体組成物、鞘部が、融点(Tm)が125〜155℃の範囲にあるプロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体からなる芯鞘複合繊維であり、当該芯鞘複合繊維全体に含まれるプロピレン・α−オレフィンランダム共重合体合計100重量部に対して、脂肪族アルコールのアルキレンオキサイド付加物からなる非イオン系界面活性剤を0.5〜5重量部含む繊維。
- 繊維が長繊維である請求項1または2に記載の繊維。
- 請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の繊維からなる不織布。
- 請求項4に記載の不織布を、トップシート及び/又はセカンドシートに用いてなる吸収性物品。
- 請求項4に記載の不織布を、吸収体を含むシートに用いてなる吸収性物品。
