Description
本発明は密封又は限定された環境における相対湿度制御用製品を含む。本発明は、湿潤剤塩、水、及び担体を含んでなる、凝固した湿潤剤組成物(solidified humectant composition)を含む。好ましい態様は錠剤形態の組成物を有し、担体とは異なり得る結合剤の使用を含んでいてもよい。好ましい錠剤形態態様は耐久性のために被覆された錠剤を有する。適切な被覆には、ポリエチレン又は他の熱可塑性樹脂、ポリテトラフルオロエチレン、ポリビニルピロリドン、及びセルロースエーテルが含まれる。
本発明は、湿潤剤の漏れ、こぼれ、又は染み出しの可能性を除去して、湿潤剤により保護されることが意図された製品又は材料へのダメージを除去するための、一般的に固体形態にある湿潤剤を提供する。本発明は、パッケージ内に収納された製品又は材料が保護され、如何なる手段においても退化せず、変性せず、又は汚損しないようにされている、閉鎖系内の相対湿度を制御するための、自立性の又は蒸気透過性容器内の、安定な固体形態材料を提供する。
一定の撹拌下で、100gの蒸留水を20gの硫酸カリウムに添加することにより、凝固湿潤剤組成物を調製した。この混合物を15gのカラギーナンと組み合わせた。この混合物は98%のERHを有することが確認された。
0.1gのProClin 300抗菌剤を100gの蒸留水に添加することにより凝固湿潤剤組成物を調製した(ProClinは、生物学用試薬、化学用試薬、診断用試薬、及び実験用試薬の製造に用いられる保存剤についてのRohm and Haas Companyの登録商標である)。次に、この溶液を一定の撹拌下で20gの硫酸カリウムへと入れた。この混合物を15gのカラギーナンと組み合わせた。この混合物は最終的に98%のERHを有することが確認された。この混合物は、ポリエステル製フェルト中に包まれ、密封された、硬質ゲルとなった。得られた構造物は手で押すことにより変形したが、手でどのように取り扱っても漏れを生じなかった。
最初に0.4gのナトリウムプロピオネートを50gの蒸留水に添加することにより、凝固湿潤剤を含む入れ物を調製した。次にこの溶液を一定の撹拌下で58gの炭酸カリウムへと入れた。この混合物を次いで、広い孔径のシリカゲルと、75:25(ゲルの質量%:溶液の質量%)の割合で組み合わせた。得られた顆粒状の固体湿潤剤を不織HDPEサシェ中にパッケージした。この混合物は最終的に約44%のERHを有することが確認された。
50%(w/w)CaCl2溶液1部と50%(w/w)K2CO3溶液1部とを2質量部のシリカゲル(U.S.P.グレード)に別々に添加することにより、凝固湿潤剤を含む入れ物を調製した。この溶液を24時間以内に完全に吸収させて、次いで約2%の水分まで乾燥させた。この完全に乾燥された顆粒状湿潤剤を、溶接された不織サシェ中にパッケージした。
飽和NaCl溶液を、これと等しい量の広い孔サイズを有するシリカゲル中に含浸させた。固体アスコルビン酸及びアスコルビン酸ナトリウムを、各々凝固湿潤剤の質量の3分の1の量添加した。次いで、湿潤剤の総量と等しい量の鉄粉と固体酸及び塩を加えて、微細に穿孔されたサシェ中にこの組み合わされた顆粒状及び粉末状混合物をパッケージした。
炭酸カリウム溶液を、顆粒状シリカゲルと混合された顆粒状活性炭に、乾燥基準で2.5%炭酸カリウムとなるように添加した。ポリビニルピロリドンの結合剤樹脂を添加し、この混合物を約16%である最適な水分値まで一部乾燥させた後に、この混合物を錠剤形態へと圧縮した。この錠剤を熱硬化させて、約25%のERHまで再び水和させておいた。閉鎖された囲いの中にある、被覆されておらず包まれていない錠剤(uncoated, uncontained tablet)は、囲い内のERHを44%未満に維持する間、水分吸収能力を有していた。錠剤は揮発性酸も吸収及び中和し、それにより囲い内に共に含まれる壊れやすい電子部品を保護した。この例では、錠剤に被覆を塗布しなかった。
LiCl2溶液を含浸した炭素で錠剤を作製し、次いで水分吸収と低湿度性能とを高めるために乾燥させた。この錠剤は強度を必要としたのでPE結合剤を用い、これは良好な強度を与えた。

低活性炭 = 64.2%
高活性炭 = 16.1%
LiCl2塩 = 4.7% (炭素基準で5.5%)
PE結合剤 = 15.0%。
90%RH及び29℃の湿度室において錠剤の性能を評価した。錠剤は錠剤の総質量に基づいて40%のH2Oを吸収し、炭素質量に基づいて47%の吸収を示した。
Claims (12)
- 水分を吸収及び放出して環境内の所望の平衡相対湿度を提供及び維持する製品であって、
水蒸気透過性容器と、
該容器内に含まれる凝固した湿潤剤組成物とを含んでなり、
該凝固した湿潤剤組成物が、
湿潤剤塩、
水、及び
担体
を含み、
該湿潤剤塩及び該水は、該担体と組み合わされており、
該湿潤剤塩及び該水は、未溶解の過剰な塩が存在する飽和溶液を形成しており、
該湿潤剤塩は所望の平衡相対湿度を提供するように選択されており、
該製品は、該飽和溶液に対する該未溶解の過剰な塩の割合が変化することにより、水分を吸収又は放出して所望の平衡相対湿度を維持し、
該未溶解の過剰な塩は常に存在している、製品。 - 容器が熱成形されたフェルト材料から構成されている、請求項1に記載の製品。
- 容器がサシェの形態である、請求項1に記載の製品。
- 容器がキャニスターの形態である、請求項1に記載の製品。
- サシェが微細に穿孔されたポリエステル/紙/ポリエチレン材料から構成されている、請求項3に記載の製品。
- キャニスターが穿孔されているか、又は、部分的にあるいは完全に焼結された微細孔を有する材料から作製される、請求項4に記載の製品。
- 湿潤剤塩がCaCl2、K2CO3、LiCl2、NaCl、K2SO4、及びそれらの組み合わせからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の製品。
- 容器内に抗菌剤をさらに含んでなる、請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の製品。
- 担体がセルロース、シリカゲル、クレー、炭水化物又はタンパク質ゲル化剤、親水コロイドゴム、及び親水性ポリマーからなる群から選択される、請求項1〜8のいずれかに記載の製品。
- 凝固した湿潤剤組成物が活性炭をさらに含んでなる、請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の製品。
- 凝固した湿潤剤組成物が酸素吸収剤をさらに含んでなる、請求項1〜10のいずれかに記載の製品。
- 該容器が、通気孔を有するプラスチック体である、請求項1に記載の製品。
