Claims (9)
- 外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の被駆動側に設けられたファンの回転速度を制御するために、急加速(急発進も含む。)の検出に用いられる信号である急加速検出用信号と、前記急加速検出用信号以外の信号とを演算処理部で演算処理することにより制御信号を生成し、該制御信号により前記外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の駆動側から被駆動側へのトルク伝達を制御する外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法であって、
前記演算処理部が、前記急加速検出用信号の演算処理を、前記急加速検出用信号以外の信号の演算処理よりも、高い周波数で実行することを特徴とする外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。 - 前記急加速検出用信号以外の信号が、エンジン回転速度信号とファン回転速度信号とを含み、
前記演算処理部が、前記急加速検出用信号以外の信号の演算処理において、前記エンジン回転速度信号及び前記ファン回転速度信号の演算処理を、それら以外の信号の演算処理よりも、高い周波数で実行することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。 - 前記演算処理部が、前記急加速検出用信号の演算処理を、略1〜5Hzの周波数で実行することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。
- 前記演算処理部が、前記急加速検出用信号以外の信号の演算処理を、略0.05〜0.2Hzの周波数で実行することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。
- 前記演算処理部が、前記急加速検出用信号の演算処理を、略1〜5Hzの周波数で実行し、かつ、前記急加速検出用信号以外の信号の演算処理を、略0.05〜0.2Hzの周波数で実行することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。
- 前記急加速検出用信号がアクセル開度信号であることを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。
- 前記外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置は、前記駆動側と前記被駆動側との間に設けられ油が流入出するトルク伝達間隙部と、該トルク伝達間隙部に連通する油循環通路に設けられ該油循環通路を開閉する弁部材と、該弁部材の開閉弁動作を制御する電磁石とを備え、
前記制御信号で前記電磁石への通電を制御することにより、前記トルク伝達間隙部における前記駆動側と前記被駆動側との油の有効接触面積を増減させて、前記駆動側から前記被駆動側へのトルク伝達を制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。 - 前記外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置は、前記駆動側に設けられた電磁クラッチと、前記被駆動側に設けられたマグネットカップリングとを備え、
前記制御信号で前記電磁クラッチへの通電を制御することにより、前記電磁クラッチと前記マグネットカップリングとの連動・非連動状態を切り替えて、前記駆動側から前記被駆動側へのトルク伝達を制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。 - 前記外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置は、前記駆動側と前記被駆動側との間に設けられ油が流入出するトルク伝達間隙部と、該トルク伝達間隙部に連通する油循環通路に設けられ該油循環通路の開閉を制御する弁部材と、該弁部材の開閉弁動作を制御する電動アクチュエータとを備え、
前記制御信号で前記電動アクチュエータへの通電を制御することにより、前記トルク伝達間隙部における前記駆動側と前記被駆動側との油の有効接触面積を増減させて、前記駆動側から前記被駆動側へのトルク伝達を制御することを特徴とする請求項1〜5のいずれかに記載の外部制御式ファン・カップリング装置の制御方法。
