Description
しかしながら、成形品表面が荒く、ウェルドが目立つなどの成形品外観が劣る問題を有している。一方、架橋ゴムは、引裂き強度、引張り強度に優れるが、樹脂加工機による成形が不可能であり、生産性が悪く、需要に応えられない問題を有している。
(D)スチレン系エラストマーおよび1,2−ポリブタジエン、
を主成分とする熱可塑性エラストマー組成物であって、
(a)上記組成物中に分散しているゴム粒子の平均粒子径が0.06〜2.00μm、
(b)上記組成物中の(C)成分および(D)成分の境界部の平均厚さが0.01〜0.20μmであることを特徴とする熱可塑性エラストマー組成物に関する。
トルエン不溶分(重量%)={〔A−B×(100/C)〕/A}×100
このトルエン不溶分の調整は、分子量調節剤の種類、量を選ぶことによって容易に実施することができる。そのほか、トルエン不溶分の調整は、架橋剤の添加、重合時の重合開始剤量、重合開始温度などの選定があり、これらを組み合わせて目的とする(A)ゴム質重合体を得ることができる。さらに、上記平均ゴム粒径や、トルエン不溶分の異なるゴム質重合体を、任意の割合で混合して用いることもできる。
大塚電子(株)製、レーザー粒径解析システムLPA−3100を用いて、平均粒径を測定した。
〔ゲル含有量(トルエン不溶分)〕
上記本文中に記載
グラフト共重合体(ゴム強化熱可塑性樹脂)の一定量(x)を、アセトン中に投入し、振とう機で2時間振とうし、遊離の共重合体を溶解させ、遠心分離機を用いてこの溶液を23,000rpmで30分間、遠心分離し、不溶分を得た。次に、真空乾燥機を用いて120℃で1時間乾燥し、乾燥した不溶分(y)を得た。下記式により、グラフト率を算出した。
グラフト率(%)={〔(y)−(x)×グラフト共重合体のゴム分率〕/〔(x)×グラフト共重合体のゴム分率〕}×100
上記グラフト率測定時の、遠心分離後のアセトン可溶分をメチルエチルケトンに完全に溶解させ、濃度の異なる5種類のサンプルを調製し、ウベローデ粘度管を用いて30℃で各濃度サンプルの還元粘度を測定した結果から、極限粘度〔η〕を求めた。
〔ムーニー粘度〕
JIS K6300に準拠し、測定温度100℃、予熱1分、測定4分の条件で測定した。
ウォーターズ社製、ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィー(GPC−244)、カラムとして東ソー(株)製、TSK−gel−GMH×1(2)、溶媒としてテトラヒドロフラン、流速0.8ml/分、温度23℃で測定し、ポリスチレン基準で較正した。
〔1,2−ポリブタジエンの結晶化度〕
比重換算により、結晶化度を算出した。
〔スチレン系エラストマー中の結合スチレン量〕
屈折率から、結合スチレン量を求めた。
成形は、ISFA170FA〔東芝機械(株)製〕を用いて、シリンダー温度160℃、金型温度35℃、射出圧力60kg/cm2で行った。
〔混練性〕
下記基準で評価した。
○;ローター空回りや過度の発熱がなく、容易に混練できる。
×;ローター空回りや、過度の発熱のため、混練が非常に困難である。
〔分散性〕
樹脂用プレス機により、試料を薄板状に熱プレスし、ゴム成分の分散状態を確認した。分散状態は、下記基準で評価した。
○;分散不良なし、 ×;分散不良あり
〔引裂き強度〕JIS K6301に準拠して行った。単位はkgf/cmである。
〔引張り強度〕JIS K6301に準拠して行った。単位はkgf/cm2である。
成形品表面のフローマーク、肌荒れ、ブラッシュイング、シルバーストリーク、ブルーミングなどを、下記の評価基準に従って目視評価した。
◎;優秀、 ○;優良 、△;可、 ×;凸凹があり、不可
組成物を液体窒素で凍結させたのち、ミクロトームで切り出し、四酸化オスミウム(OsO4 )で染色し試料とした。試料を、透過型電子顕微鏡(TEM)で観察し、写真撮影した。OsO4 染色では、二重結合を有するゴム部分が黒く染色され、スチレン、アクリロニトリルなどの単量体成分を重合して得られる樹脂成分が染色されず白く見える。樹脂部分は、ゴム粒子の内部と外部に存在する。ゴム粒子の平均粒子径とは、TEM撮影写真上のゴム粒子の短径の平均である。実際には、20個以上のゴム粒子の(C)および(D)の境界部を除いた部分の短径を測定して平均値を求めた。すなわち、ゴム粒子の外部の(C)成分のグラフト部を除いた部分をゴム粒子径として、平均粒子径を測定した。
上記TEM撮影写真を用いて、ゴム粒子を取り巻く未染色部分として写っている、(C)および(D)の境界部の厚さを測定した。20個以上のゴム粒子の(C)および(D)の境界部の厚さを測定し、平均値を求めた。
〔ゴム質重合体(A)の調製〕
容量100リットルの攪拌機付き反応器に、1,3−ブタジエン100部、水60部、ロジン酸カリウム2.4部、リン酸カリウム0.5部、水酸化カリウム0.1部、連鎖移動剤としてt−ドデシルメルカプタンを0.3部、過硫酸カリウム0.3部を加えて、60〜70℃で30時間バッチ重合した。重合添加率は、95%であった。この重合系に、重合停止剤としてN,N−ジエチルヒドロキシルアミンを0.2部加え、反応を停止させた。その後、減圧で1,3−ブタジエンを除去し、ブタジエンゴムラテックスを得た(固形分56.2%)。得られたブタジエンゴムのゲル含有量は75%、平均粒径は0.27μmであった。同様に、単量体成分の種類・配合処方、連鎖移動剤の使用量、重合温度、重合時間などを変えて、スチレン−ブタジエン共重合体を得た。ゴム質重合体(A)の平均粒径およびトルエン不溶分を表1〜2に示す。
〔ゴム強化熱可塑性樹脂(C−1)〜(C−12)の調製〕
滴下ビン、コンデンサ、窒素導入口および攪拌機を備えたセパラブルフラスコに、参考例1で得られたゴム質重合体(A)を固形分換算で60部、乳化剤としてロジン酸カリウム0.5部、および水100部を混合し、スチレン9部、アクリロニトリル3部、分子量調節剤としてt−ブチルメルカプタン0.5部、重合開始剤としてクメンハイドロパーオキサイド0.2部を加えた。70℃まで昇温後、クメンハイドロパーオキサイド0.2部、ピロリン酸ナトリウム0.2部、ブドウ糖0.25部、硫酸第一鉄0.01部を加え、重合を行なった。1時間後、残りのスチレン21部、アクリロニトリル7部、t−ドデシルメルカプタン0.3部、水40部、クメンハイドロパーオキサイド0.15部の混合物を4時間にわたって滴下を行なった。滴下終了後、クメンハイドロパーオキサイド0.1部、ピロリン酸ナトリウム0.1部、ブドウ糖0.13部、硫酸第一鉄0.005部、ジメチルジチオカルバミン酸ナトリウム0.02部を添加し、さらに1時間重合反応を行なった。重合添加率は97.5%であった。得られた重合体を硫酸で凝固させ、水酸化ナトリウムで中和し、この凝固物を良く水洗したのち、乾燥させ、粉末状のゴム強化熱可塑性樹脂(C−1)を得た。同様の方法により、表1〜2に示すように、単量体成分の種類・配合処方、連鎖移動剤の使用量、重合温度、重合時間などを変えて、ゴム強化熱可塑性樹脂(C−2)および(C−12)を得た。得られたゴム強化熱可塑性樹脂(C−1)〜(C−12)のグラフト率および極限粘度〔η〕を表1〜2に示す。
〔(D)熱可塑性エラストマーの調製〕
(D)成分として、下記のものを調製した。
ブタジエンゴム(BR);ラボ試作品〔ムーニー粘度(ML1+4,100℃);40〕
スチレン−ブタジエンブロック共重合体(SB1);JSR株式会社製、商品名=TR2000(結合スチレン量;40%)
スチレン−ブタジエンブロック共重合体(SB2);JSR株式会社製、商品名=TR2825(結合スチレン量;23%)
スチレン−ブタジエンブロック共重合体(SB3);JSR株式会社製、商品名=TR2601(結合スチレン量;30%)
スチレン−ブタジエン共重合体(SB4);JSR株式会社製、商品名=SL554(結合スチレン量;24%)
スチレン−イソプレンブロック共重合体(SIS);JSR株式会社製、商品名=SIS5002(結合スチレン量;26%)
1,2−ポリブタジエン(RB835);JSR株式会社製、商品名=RB835(結晶化度;32%)
(C)成分および(D)成分を、表3〜4に示す配合処方で混練し、ペレット化して、本発明の熱可塑性エラストマー組成物を得た。組成物中に分散しているゴム粒子の平均粒子径の調整は、使用する(A)成分の平均粒子径で決定されることから、目的とする平均粒子径を有する(A)成分を用いた。また、組成物中の(C)成分と(D)成分との境界部の平均厚さの調整は、(C)成分のグラフト率、(B)成分の組成、(A)/(B)成分の比率を変更することにより行った。得られた組成物を用い、上記測定項目に従って、各種の評価を実施した。結果を表3〜4に示す。
Claims (1)
- (A)ゴム質重合体20〜80重量%の存在下に、(B)芳香族ビニル単量体、または芳香族ビニル単量体およびこれと共重合可能な他のビニル単量体からなる単量体成分80〜20重量%〔ただし、(A)+(B)=100重量%〕を重合して得られ、グラフト率が5〜300%、かつ、未グラフト成分の極限粘度〔η〕(30℃、メチルエチルケトン中で測定)が0.05〜3.0dl/gである(C)ゴム強化熱可塑性樹脂、ならびに
(D)スチレン系エラストマーおよび1,2−ポリブタジエン、
を主成分とする熱可塑性エラストマー組成物であって、
(a)上記組成物中に分散しているゴム粒子の平均粒子径が0.06〜2.00μm、
(b)上記組成物中の上記(C)成分および上記(D)成分の境界部の平均厚さが0.01〜0.20μmであることを特徴とする熱可塑性エラストマー組成物。
