例えば普通乗用車タイプの車両100は、車体のリア側に充填口24を有し、リア側の下方に燃料タンク21a,21bを搭載し、固定する。車体のボディフレーム102は、車幅方向に延びる二つのクロスメンバー104a,104bと、車両前後方向に延びるサイドメンバー105を有する。サイドメンバー105は、図示省略したもう一つのサイドメンバーとともに、クロスメンバー104a,104bの端部を支持する。なお、車体のフロント部には、燃料電池システム1の各種構成機器(たとえば燃料電池2)のほか、車両100の推進力を生じさせるトラクションモータ(負荷18)や、パワーコントロールユニットなどが配置される。
燃料ガス系統のリークチェックは、配管を組み付けた後で継手部のシール性を確認するために行われる。リークチェックは、燃料ガス系統内にリークチェック用の流体を高圧(例えば5〜80MPa)で供給し、リークチェック箇所にディテクタを近づけ、ディテクタで流体漏れの有無を調べる。リークチェック用の流体としては、例えばヘリウムなどの不活性ガスを用いることができ、気体を用いることが好ましい。以下の説明では、リークチェック用の流体をリークチェックガスという。なお、リークチェック用の流体を導入するという概念は、リークチェック用の圧力を導入する概念を含むものである。
図7に示す比較例の構成の場合、燃料タンク21a´,21b´まわりの配管経路が複雑となる。これは、配管同士のクロス部(交差する部分)が多いからである。例えば、充填側の配管31a´は、供給側の配管41a´、41b´と交差する。また、クロスメンバー104a´側に配管部品が密集しているため、他部品との隙間を確保し難く、例えば供給配管23´を供給マニホールド部42´に接続するための工具用の隙間も確保し難い。
次に、図8及び9を参照して、他の実施形態に係る一体型マニホールドについて上記実施形態との相違点を中心に説明する。主な相違点は、リークチェックポート65及びリークチェック通路83をバルブ72とは異なる位置に形成した点である。なお、以下の説明及び図8,9では、図2等に示す上記実施形態と同一の部材について同一の符号を付して説明を省略する。

前記供給配管は、前記燃料供給先から前記供給マニホールド部に至る共通供給配管と、前記供給マニホールド部から各燃料貯蔵源に至る複数の個別供給配管と、を有する、請求項1に記載の燃料システム。 - 前記一体型マニホールドは、
前記共通充填配管及び前記個別充填配管に連通する充填流路と、
前記共通供給配管及び前記個別供給配管に連通する供給流路と、
前記充填流路と前記供給流路との間を接続する連通流路と、
前記連通流路を開閉するためのバルブと、を備え、
前記バルブを開くことで、前記リークチェックポートからの前記流体が前記充填流路及び前記供給流路に導入されるように構成した、請求項2に記載の燃料システム。 - 前記リークチェックポートは、前記バルブに形成されている、請求項3に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記バルブは、手動操作部を有するマニュアル弁であり、
前記リークチェックポートは、前記手動操作部に形成されている、請求項4に記載の燃料システム。 - 前記充填マニホールド部と前記供給マニホールド部とは、前記一体型マニホールドにおいて互いに隣り合うように設けられている、請求項1ないし5のいずれか一項に記載の燃料システム。
- 前記燃料貯蔵源は、燃料ガスを貯蔵する高圧タンクであり、
前記燃料供給先は、燃料電池である、請求項1ないし6のいずれか一項に記載の燃料システム。 - 請求項1ないし7のいずれか一項に記載の燃料システムを搭載した車両であって、
前記複数の燃料貯蔵源の間に前記一体型マニホールドが配設された、車両。 - 前記複数の燃料貯蔵源の間に二つのクロスメンバーを有しており、
一方のクロスメンバーには、前記一体型マニホールドが取り付けられ、
他方のクロスメンバーには、前記供給配管に設けられたレギュレータが取り付けられている、請求項8に記載の車両。
