Description
Claims (28)
- 近位端及び遠位端を有し、ルーメンを形成する可撓性で細長い管状部材であって、ここで前記ルーメンは、近位端と遠位端との間に延在し当該管状部材の内面を形成し、
この管状部材は、さらに、複数の同軸のポリイミド層を備え、このポリイミド層の少なくとも一つは、当該管状部材の前記ルーメンを形成し、少なくとも一つの長手方向凹部が、前記内面の内側に形成されて前記管状部材の長さに沿って長手方向に延在する、管状部材と、
可撓性で細長い前記管状部材の前記ルーメンの少なくとも一部において同軸上に位置するコア・ワイヤと、
ここで、このコア・ワイヤの外径は、前記管状部材の前記ルーメンの直径にほぼ同じであり、
遠位端、近位端、及びその間に延在するルーメンを有し、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材の前記遠位端に結合される組み合わせセンサハウジングと、
前記組み合わせセンサハウジングに固定される圧力センサと、
前記組み合わせセンサハウジングのルーメン内で該ハウジングの遠位端の方へ配置される流れセンサと、
ここで前記圧力センサ及び前記流れセンサは、互いに極接近して位置決めされ、
前記圧力センサから可撓性で細長い前記管状部材の近位端近傍まで長手方向に延在する複数の電気コネクタと、
前記流れセンサから可撓性で細長い前記管状部材の近位端近傍まで長手方向に延在する複数の電気コネクタと、を備え、
前記圧力センサ及び前記流れセンサ用の複数の電気コネクタは、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材のポリイミド層間に埋設され、少なくとも一つの前記長手方向凹部内に位置決めされる、ことを特徴とする案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。 - 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、前記圧力センサは、半導体結晶を含む、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、絶縁材料が、前記流れセンサ及び圧力センサからの電気コネクタと前記コア・ワイヤとの間に配置される、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材は、さらに、前記管状部材の内面の内側に管状部材の全長に沿って長手方向に延在する複数の長手方向凹部を備え、ここで、前記流れセンサ及び前記圧力センサからの複数の電気コネクタは、複数の長手方向凹部の別々の長手方向凹部内に個々に位置決めされる、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、前記組み合わせセンサハウジングは、さらに、内壁を備え、前記圧力センサは、前記組み合わせセンサハウジングの内壁又は外壁に接触せずに組み合わせセンサハウジングのルーメンへ突出する、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項5に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、前記組み合わせセンサハウジングは、組み合わせセンサハウジング内に圧力センサの配置を容易にするために、組み合わせセンサハウジングのルーメンの近位部分は第1直径を有し、組み合わせセンサハウジングのルーメンの遠位部は第1直径を超える第2直径を有するように広がる形(カウンタボア)を備える、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、前記流れセンサは、ドップラー流れセンサを備える、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、放射線不透過性のコイルは、前記組み合わせセンサハウジングを可撓性で細長い前記管状部材に接続する、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、前記圧力センサ及び前記流れセンサの各々は、前記組み合わせセンサハウジングの遠位端に近接して配置される、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、前記電気コネクタは、絶縁性被覆を有しない、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、複数の電気コネクタは、可撓性の樹脂基板に配置され、この樹脂基板は、複数の同軸の前記ポリイミド層の2つの層間に埋設される、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、絶縁材料は、前記コア・ワイヤと、コア・ワイヤを囲む複数の同軸の前記ポリイミド層との間に配置される、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材は、0.3556mmの外径を有し、可撓性で細長い管状部材のルーメンは0.2286mmの直径を有する、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項13に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、コア・ワイヤは、0.2032mmの外径を有する、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、複数の電気コネクタの各々は、伝導性コアと絶縁性被覆とを備える、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項1に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、複数の電気コネクタの各々は、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材のルーメンを形成する複数の同軸の前記ポリイミド層の少なくとも一つの周りに巻き付けられる、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 人間の血管系内で使用するための案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、
可撓性で細長い管状部材と、コア・ワイヤと、複数の電気コネクタとを備え、
前記管状部材は、近位部分と、遠位部分と、近位部分及び遠位部分の間で延在し当該管状部材の内面を形成するルーメンとを備え、さらに複数の同軸のポリイミド層を備え、このポリイミド層の少なくとも一つは、当該管状部材の前記ルーメンを形成し、さらに当該管状部材は、当該管状部材の内面の内側に形成され管状部材の全長に沿って長手方向に延在する少なくとも一つの長手方向凹部とを有し、
前記コア・ワイヤは、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材のルーメンの少なくとも一部に同軸に位置決めされ、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材のルーメンの直径にほぼ同じの外径を有し、
前記電気コネクタは、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材の遠位部分から近位部分まで長手方向に延在し、複数の電気コネクタの各々は、電気コネクタがルーメン内に延在しないように長手方向凹部内に位置決めされる、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。 - 請求項17に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、可撓性で細長い前記管状部材の遠位部分に結合されるセンサハウジングをさらに備え、このハウジングは、これを通して延在する細長い開口を含む、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項18に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、さらに、センサハウジング内に配置された圧力センサと、センサハウジング内に配置された流れセンサとを備えた、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項19に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、複数の電気コネクタの各々は、圧力センサ及び流れセンサの少なくとも一つに接続される、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項20に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、可撓性で細長い管状部材の少なくとも一つの長手方向凹部は、複数の長手方向凹部を備え、複数の電気コネクタの各々は、複数の長手方向凹部の別々の長手方向凹部内に個々に位置決めされる、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項21に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、さらに、前記細長い開口の少なくとも一部に位置決めされるコア・ワイヤと、コア・ワイヤと複数の電気コネクタとの間に配置される絶縁材料と、を備える、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項22に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、コア・ワイヤの外径は、可撓性で細長い管状部材のルーメンの直径にほぼ同じである、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項23に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、放射線不透過性のコイルが、前記センサハウジングを可撓性で細長い前記管状部材に接続され、前記放射線不透過性のコイルの遠位部分が前記センサハウジングに結合される、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項24に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、近位コイルが、可撓性で細長い管状部材の遠位端に結合され、近位コイルの遠位部分が放射線不透過性のコイルの近位部分に結合される、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項17に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、前記コア・ワイヤの外径は、可撓性で細長い管状部材のルーメンの直径よりも小さい0.0254mmである、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項26に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、絶縁性材料がコア・ワイヤと複数の電気コネクタとの間に位置決めされる、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
- 請求項27に記載された案内ワイヤアッセンブリであって、前記絶縁性材料は、複数の電気コネクタ間に位置決めされる、案内ワイヤアッセンブリ。
