Description
Claims (25)
- マイクロ流体デバイスであって、
単一の非エラストマ系ポリマ基板、およびこれと同じ材料で構成された単一の非エラストマ系ポリマメンブレンのみからなり、
非エラストマ系ポリマ基板は、上側表面および下側表面を含み、上側表面上に配置された少なくとも1つのマイクロチャンネルを有し、
非エラストマ系ポリマ基板の上側表面には少なくとも1つの接合領域および少なくとも1つの非接合領域が設けられ、
少なくとも1つのマイクロチャンネルは、非接合領域を流体的に横断する端部を有し、
非エラストマ系ポリマメンブレンは、連続的な平面を有し、非エラストマ系ポリマ基板の上側表面の少なくとも1つの接合領域に接合され、
非エラストマ系ポリマメンブレンは、少なくとも1つのマイクロチャンネル含む少なくとも1つの非接合領域を全体的に覆い、
非エラストマ系ポリマメンブレンは、非作動状態にあるとき、少なくとも1つの非接合領域に当接し、作動状態にあるとき、少なくとも1つの非接合領域に当接せず、
単一の非エラストマ系ポリマ基板および単一の非エラストマ系ポリマメンブレンは、集積化された一体型の2層式デバイスを構成することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
外部から作動可能なダイアフラム構造体を形成する非接合領域を含むポンプを有し、
ポンプは、これに流れる流体により作動可能な受動バルブ構造体を形成する2つの非接合領域に接続されることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
複数の分離された非接合領域を有するポンプを有し、
各非接合領域は、独立して作動可能なダイアフラム構造体を形成し、
各ダイアフラム構造体は、他の少なくとも1つのダイアフラム構造体と部分的に重なり合うことを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
メンブレンは、約2GPa〜約4GPaのヤング率を有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
メンブレンは、弱溶剤接合試薬を用いて基板に接合されることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
複数の独立したマイクロチャンネルを有し、
各マイクロチャンネルは、非接合領域を流体的に横断する端部を有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
少なくとも1つの非接合領域は、円形形状を有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
少なくとも1つのマイクロチャンネルは、矩形の断面形状を有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
メンブレンおよび基板は、ポリメチルメタクリレート樹脂、ポリスチレン樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、アクリル樹脂のうちの1つからなることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
複数の分離された非接合領域を有するポンプをさらに有し、
各非接合領域は、独立して作動可能なバルブ構造体を形成し、マイクロチャンネルを介して直列に接続されることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
メンブレンが作動状態にあるとき、メンブレンの上方に配置され、メンブレンを構造的に支持するような寸法、形状、および配置位置を有する支持構造体を有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項10に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
メンブレンの上方に配置され、メンブレンが基板から所定距離を超えて移動することを防止するような寸法、形状、および配置位置を有する係止部を有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項10に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
1つのバルブ構造体を共有する複数のポンプを有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項13に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
共有されるバルブ構造体は、3つまたはそれ以上のマイクロチャンネル上に配設されたメンブレンを有し、共有バルブ構造体に連結された複数の流体ポートを形成することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項10に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
流体材料、気体材料、流体材料に実質的に溶解した固体材料、スラリ材料、乳濁液材料、懸濁した粒子を含む流体材料のうちの1つまたはそれ以上を貯蔵できる貯蔵部をさらに有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項15に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
貯蔵部は、実質的に垂直方向に配置され、貯蔵部の所定の垂直レベルまたはその付近における液体を、貯蔵部から抽出するための液体抽出手段に連結可能であることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項15に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
貯蔵部は、実質的に垂直方向に配置され、流体材料および粒子を含み、
粒子が貯蔵部の上部または底部で停滞しないように、ポンプが流体をデバイス内で循環させるために貯蔵部と連結されることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項15に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
貯蔵部は、独立して作動可能な第1および第2のバルブ構造体の間に連結されることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項15に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
ポンプ機構を介して接続された複数の貯蔵部をさらに有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項19に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
ポンプ機構は、複数の貯蔵部から流体を送出する共有バルブ構造体を有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
基板は、その上側表面および下側表面の間に延びるスルーホールを有し、
スルーホールは、少なくとも1つの非接合領域の少なくとも一部の全体に対して位置合わせされていることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項21に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
スルーホールは、メンブレン封止領域を有することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項1に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
前記基板と同じ材料で構成された、唯一の追加的な非エラストマ系ポリマ基板を有し、
追加的な第2の非エラストマ系ポリマ基板は、上側表面および下側表面を含み、上側表面の一部および下側表面と流体連通するように配置されたドライブチャンバを有し、追加的な第2の非エラストマ系ポリマ基板の下側表面上にあるメンブレンの上側表面に接合され、
ドライブチャンバは少なくとも1つの非接合領域の少なくとも一部の全体に位置合わせされ、
集積化された一体型の3層式デバイスを構成することを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項23に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
追加的な第2の非エラストマ系ポリマ基板は、弱溶剤接合試薬を用いてメンブレンに接合されることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。 - 請求項23に記載のマイクロ流体デバイスであって、
第2の非エラストマ系ポリマ基板は、ポリメチルメタクリレート樹脂、ポリスチレン樹脂、ポリカーボネート樹脂、アクリル樹脂のうちの1つからなることを特徴とするマイクロ流体デバイス。
