Description
(1)見掛け密度20〜60kg/m3、厚み10〜150mm、厚み方向の平均気泡径が0.07〜0.20mmのポリスチレン系樹脂押出発泡板において、発泡板中の炭素数3〜5の飽和炭化水素含有量が発泡板1kg当り0.10〜0.90モルであり、発泡板中に下記構造式(1)で表される3級炭素に臭素が結合した構造を有する臭素化ビスフェノールエーテル誘導体及びリン酸エステルからなる難燃剤を含有しており、JIS A9511(1995)に基づく燃焼性試験において発泡板から切り出した5個の試験片の全てが3秒以内で消え、且つ、5個の試験片の平均燃焼時間が3秒以内であることを特徴とするポリスチレン系樹脂押出発泡板、
を要旨とするものである。

Vx:上記方法で測定された試験片の真の体積(cm3)であり、押出発泡板の試験片を構成する樹脂の容積と、試験片内の独立気泡部分の気泡全容積との和に相当する。
VA:試験片の外寸から計算された見掛け上の体積(cm3)。
W:試験片重量(g)。
ρ:試験片を構成する樹脂の密度(g/cm3)。
比較例1〜4
[原料及び配合比]
原料は、ポリスチレン(PSジャパン社製HH32)100重量部に対して、気泡調整剤としてタルクマスターバッチ〔ポリスチレン35重量%と、タルク(松村産業株式会社製ハイフィラー#12)60重量%と、添加剤5重量%とからなるマスターバッチ〕、難燃剤を表1に示す割合で配合し、更に、全ての難燃剤の合計配合量100重量部に対して10重量部の安定剤を配合し、発泡剤としてイソブタンと塩化メチルを表1に示す割合で混合した混合物を表1に示す量〔ポリスチレン1kg当たりの発泡剤注入量(mol/kg)として表記〕を用いた。難燃剤は、臭素化ビスフェノールエーテル誘導体として2,2−ビス〔4−(2,3−ジブロモ−2−メチルプロポキシ)−3,5−ジブロモフェニル〕プロパンを、リン酸エステルとしてトリフェニルホスフェートを用いた。難燃剤は表1に示す割合で適宜混合して用いた。また、上記安定剤として、イルガノックス1010(チバ・スペシャルティー・ケミカルズ(株)社製)/アデカスタブPEP−36(旭電化工業(株)社製)を5/1重量比で混合したものを用いた。
押出機は、口径65mmの押出機(以下、「第一押出機」という。)と口径90mmの押出機(以下、「第二押出機」という。)と口径150mm押出機(以下、「第三押出機」という。)とを直列に連結したものを使用し、上記混合発泡剤を第一押出機の先端付近において溶融樹脂中に圧入混練した。ダイリップは、先端に幅115mm、間隙1.0mm(長方形横断面)の樹脂排出口を備えたものを使用した。
上記押出装置を用いて、ポリスチレン系樹脂等の原料を第一押出機に供給し、220℃まで加熱し、溶融混練し、第一押出機の先端付近で混合発泡剤を圧入して発泡性溶融樹脂混合物とし、続く第二押出機、第三押出機で樹脂温度を110〜130℃と調整した発泡性溶融樹脂混合物を、ダイリップから大気中に押出した。
ダイリップから押出された発泡性溶融樹脂混合物を発泡させながら、上下に間隔をあけて平行に設けた2枚のポリテトラフルオロエチレン樹脂板からなるガイダー間を通過させることにより板状に形成し、押出発泡板を製造した。
得られた押出発泡板の見掛け密度、厚み、独立気泡率、厚み方向平均気泡径、気泡変形率、熱伝導率、燃焼性、成形性、発泡剤残存量を表1に示す。
タルクマスターバッチ、難燃剤の配合比、発泡剤配合比を表1に示す割合に変更し、ダイリップの間隙を1.5mmに変更した以外は,比較例1と同様にして押出発泡板を製造した。得られた押出発泡板の見掛け密度、厚み、独立気泡率、厚み方向平均気泡径、気泡変形率、熱伝導率、燃焼性、成形性、発泡剤残存量を表1に示す。
難燃剤の配合比を表1に示す様に変更した以外は、実施例1と同様にして押出発泡板を製造した。得られた押出発泡板の見掛け密度、厚み、独立気泡率、厚み方向平均気泡径、気泡変形率、熱伝導率、燃焼性、成形性、発泡剤残存量を表1に示す。
タルクマスターバッチ、及び難燃剤の配合比を表2に示す割合とし、発泡剤組成をイソブタン、エタノール、二酸化炭素の混合系に変更した以外は,比較例1と同様にして押出発泡板を製造した。得られた押出発泡板の見掛け密度、厚み、独立気泡率、厚み方向平均気泡径、気泡変形率、熱伝導率、燃焼性、成形性、発泡剤残存量を表2に示す。
発泡剤組成をイソブタン、ジメチルエーテル、二酸化炭素の混合系に変更した以外は、比較例5と同様にして押出発泡板を製造した。得られた押出発泡板の見掛け密度、厚み、独立気泡率、厚み方向平均気泡径、気泡変形率、熱伝導率、燃焼性、成形性、発泡剤残存量を表2に示す。
難燃剤の配合比を表3に示す割合とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして押出発泡板を製造した。得られた押出発泡板の見掛け密度、厚み、独立気泡率、厚み方向平均気泡径、気泡変形率、熱伝導率、燃焼性、成形性、発泡剤残存量を表3に示す。
難燃剤の配合比を表3に示す割合とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして押出発泡板を製造した。得られた押出発泡板の見掛け密度、厚み、独立気泡率、厚み方向平均気泡径、気泡変形率、熱伝導率、燃焼性、成形性、発泡剤残存量を表3に示す。
難燃剤の配合比を表4に示す割合とした以外は、実施例1と同様にして押出発泡板を製造した。得られた押出発泡板の見掛け密度、厚み、独立気泡率、厚み方向平均気泡径、気泡変形率、熱伝導率、燃焼性、成形性、発泡剤残存量を表4に示す。
[見掛け密度]
JIS K7222(1985)に基づいて測定された値である。
幅方向を4等分する位置の3箇所で測定し、それらを相加平均した値である。
前記した方法で測定された値である。
押出発泡板から25mm×25mm×20mmのサイズに切断された成形表皮を持たないカットサンプルを使用して前記した方法で測定された値である。
製造直後の押出発泡板を気温23℃、相対湿度50%の部屋に移し、その部屋で4週間放置した後、押出発泡板から縦20cm、横20cm、押出発泡板厚みに試験片を切り出して、JIS A 9511(1995)4.7の記載により、英弘精機株式会社製の熱伝導率測定装置「オートΛ HC−73型」を使用して、JIS A 1412(1994)記載の平板熱流計法(熱流計2枚方式、熱板温度高温側35℃、熱板温度低温側5℃、平均温度20℃)に基づいて測定した。
製造直後の押出発泡板を気温23℃、相対湿度50%の部屋に移し、その部屋で4週間放置した後、JIS A9511(1995)の4.13.1「測定方法A」に基づいて測定した。尚、測定は一つの発泡板から試験片を5個切り出して(n=5)下記の評価基準にて評価した。
◎:全ての試験片において3秒以内で消え、且つ、5個の試験片の平均燃焼時間が2秒以内である。
○:全ての試験片において3秒以内で消え、且つ、5個の試験片の平均燃焼時間が2秒を越え3秒以内である。
×:5個の試験片の平均燃焼時間が3秒を越える。
押出発泡板を目視して、下記の評価基準にて評価した。
○:断面にボイドがなく、かつ表面にしわや突起が見られず外観良好な発泡板であり、製造時の安定性も良い。
×:発泡板断面にボイド、及び/又は、表面にしわや突起が顕著に存在し、外観が悪い発泡板であり、製造時の安定性に欠ける。
イソブタン、塩化メチル、1,1,1,2−テトラフルオロエタン、ジメチルエーテルの発泡剤残存量(発泡板1kg当たりの発泡剤の含有量)の測定は、押出発泡後4週間経過した発泡板を対象として、株式会社島津製作所製、島津ガスクロマトグラフGC−14Bを使用しシクロペンタンを内標準物質として前記方法に基づいて測定した。
ガスクロマトグラフ分析の測定条件は以下の通りである。
カラム:信和化工株式会社製、Silicone DC550 20%,カラム長さ4.1m、カラム内径3.2mm、サポート:Chromosorb AW−DMCS、メッシュ60〜80
カラム温度:40℃
注入口温度:200℃
キャリヤーガス:窒素
キャリヤーガス速度:3.5ml/min
検出器:FID
検出器温度:200℃
定量:内部標準法
ガスクロマトグラフ分析の測定条件は以下の通りである。
キャピラリ―カラム:ヒューズドシリカ製 長さ10m×内径0.53mm(CP−PoraPLOT Q VARIAN社製)固定相:5%フェニルメチルポリシロキサン 20μm
検出器:FID
検出器(FID)温度:200℃
サンプルバイアル加熱温度:170℃
サンプルバイアル加熱時間:15分
キャリヤーガス:ヘリウム 5ml/min
カラム槽温度:50℃×5min→10℃/min(15min)→200℃×10min
実施例1〜5の結果は、いずれも本発明における難燃剤を本発明の範囲内で使用して低密度で厚物のポリスチレン系樹脂押出発泡板を製造した例を示すものであるが、押出安定性に優れると共に得られた発泡板は難燃性、断熱性が良好であることが分かる。
Claims (2)
- 見掛け密度20〜60kg/m3、厚み10〜150mm、厚み方向の平均気泡径が0.07〜0.20mmのポリスチレン系樹脂押出発泡板において、発泡板中の炭素数3〜5の飽和炭化水素含有量が発泡板1kg当り0.10〜0.90モルであり、発泡板中に下記構造式(1)で表される3級炭素に臭素が結合した構造を有する臭素化ビスフェノールエーテル誘導体及びリン酸エステルからなる難燃剤を含有しており、JIS A9511(1995)に基づく燃焼性試験において発泡板から切り出した5個の試験片の全てが3秒以内で消え、且つ、5個の試験片の平均燃焼時間が3秒以内であることを特徴とするポリスチレン系樹脂押出発泡板。
- 前記3級炭素に臭素が結合した構造を有する臭素化ビスフェノールエーテル誘導体が、2,2−ビス〔4−(2,3−ジブロモ−2−メチルプロポキシ)−3,5−ジブロモフェニル〕プロパンであることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のポリスチレン系樹脂押出発泡板。
