Claims (5)
- 一端にドライブピニオンを備えたドライブピニオンシャフトと、該ドライブピニオンシャフトを軸心まわりの回転可能に支持する1対の軸受と、前記ドライブピニオンと噛み合わされるリングギヤとを、備えた車両用デファレンシャル装置であって、
前記リングギヤ及びドライブピニオンの回転に応じて側方に飛散する潤滑油を受けて前記1対の軸受に供給するために前記ドライブピニオンシャフトの側方に設けられた第1の潤滑経路と、
前記リングギヤ及びドライブピニオンの回転に応じて鉛直上方に飛散する潤滑油を受けて前記1対の軸受に供給するために前記ドライブピニオンシャフトの鉛直上方に設けられた第2の潤滑経路と
を、備えたものであり、
前記1対の軸受の鉛直上方に設けられて該1対の軸受の外輪が固定された非回転部材である壁部を備え、該壁部における前記ドライブピニオンの鉛直上方における一部が除去されることにより形成された切欠が、前記第2の潤滑経路の一部とされたものである
ことを特徴とする車両用デファレンシャル装置。 - 前記第2の潤滑経路の一部として、前記壁部の鉛直上側における前記切欠の側方であって前記ドライブピニオンの正回転方向に、該壁部に対して所定の角度を有するリブが、該壁部と一体的に設けられたものである請求項1に記載の車両用デファレンシャル装置。
- 前記第2の潤滑経路の一部として、前記1対の軸受のうち前記ドライブピニオンから遠い方の軸受の鉛直上方における該軸受とハウジングとの間に穴部が形成されると共に、前記ドライブピニオンの回転により鉛直上方に掻き揚げられた潤滑油が、前記軸受に対する前記ドライブシャフトの水平方向であってその正回転方向における側方に導通することを妨げるための封鎖部が形成されたものである請求項1又は2に記載の車両用デファレンシャル装置。
- 前後輪駆動車両における1対の前輪に適用されるものである請求項1から3の何れか1項に記載の車両用デファレンシャル装置。
- 前記ドライブピニオン及びリングギヤは、それぞれの軸心が互いに交差しないハイポイドギヤ対であり、前記ドライブピニオンの回転軸心が前記リングギヤの回転軸心よりも鉛直上方となる相対位置関係において相互に噛み合わされたものである請求項1から4の何れか1項に記載の車両用デファレンシャル装置。
