Description
Claims (15)
- ビデオデータを再生する1つまたは複数のユニットを格納するビデオデータ領域と、
複数のサムネイルを含む1つまたは複数のメニューデータファイルを格納するメニューデータ領域と、
メニューデータに索引を提供するメニュー管理情報を格納するメニュー管理領域と、
から構成され、
各サムネイルは再生するユニットの1つに対応し、前記複数のサムネイルは記録媒体の前記メニューデータファイル内の1つのブロックとしてまとめて保存され、
前記メニューデータファイルは前記メニュー管理情報に基づいて再生されることを特徴とするメニューデータ再生管理のためのデータ構造を持った記録媒体。 - 前記メニューデータ領域は少なくとも2つのサムネイル間にパッディングデータを記録することを特徴とする請求項1記載の記録媒体。
- 前記メニュー管理情報は、複数のサムネイルのスタートアドレスとエンドアドレスを提供することを特徴とする請求項1記載の記録媒体。
- 記録媒体に記録されたメニューデータを再生する方法であって、
前記記録媒体から、メニューデータを提供するメニュー管理情報、1つまたは複数のメニューデータファイル、およびビデオデータを再生する1つまたは複数のユニットを読み取るステップと、
前記メニュー管理情報に基づいて、前記メニューデータファイルを再生するステップと、
から構成され、前記メニューデータファイルは複数のサムネイルを含み、それぞれのサムネイルはそれぞれの再生するユニットに対応しており、前記複数のサムネイルは前記記録媒体に前記メニューデータファイルの1つのブロックとして保存されていることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記メニューデータ領域は、前記メニューデータファイル内の少なくとも2つの前記サムネイル間にパッディングデータを有することを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。
- 前記メニュー管理情報は、前記サムネイルのスタートアドレスとエンドアドレスを提供することを特徴とする請求項4記載の方法。
- 記録媒体に記録されたデータを読み取るように構成された再生ユニットと、
前記記録媒体から、メニュー管理情報、1つまたは複数のメニューデータファイル、およびビデオデータを再生する1つまたは複数のユニットを読み取るため前記再生ユニットを制御するように構成された制御手段と、
前記メニュー管理情報に基づいて前記メニューデータファイルを再生するように構成されたデコーダと、
から構成され、前記メニュー管理情報は、前記再生する装置の1つに対応する複数のサムネイルを含むメニューデータファイルに情報を提供し、前記複数のサムネイルは前記記録媒体に、前記メニューデータファイルのブロックの1つとしてまとめて保存されることを特徴とする再生装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記メニューデータファイル内の少なくとも2つのサムネイル間にパッディングデータを有する前記メニューデータ領域から、前記メニューデータファイルを再生するように制御することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記制御手段は、前記サムネイルのスタートアドレスおよびエンドアドレスを提供するメニュー管理情報を再生するように制御することを特徴とする請求項7に記載の装置。
- 前記記録媒体に記録されたメニューデータの再生を管理するためのデータ構造を記録する方法であって、
複数のサムネイルを含んだ、1つまたは複数のメニューデータファイルを記録媒体のメニューデータ領域に記録するステップと、
前記記録媒体のメニュー管理領域に、前記メニューデータファイル内の前記複数のサムネイルに索引を提供するメニュー管理情報を記録するステップと、
から構成され、それぞれのサムネイルは1つの再生するユニットに対応し、前記複数のサムネイルは前記記録媒体に前記メニューデータファイルの1つのブロックとしてまとめて保存され、
前記メニューデータファイルは、前記メニュー管理情報に基づいて再生されることを特徴とする方法。 - 前記メニューデータ領域は、前記メニューデータファイル内の少なくとも2つのサムネイル間にパッディングデータを有することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 前記メニュー管理情報は、前記サムネイルのスタートアドレスおよびエンドアドレスを提供することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の方法。
- 記録媒体にデータを書き込むように構成された記録するユニットと、
メニューデータファイルに索引を提供するメニュー管理情報、複数のサムネイルを含んだ1つまたは複数のメニューデータファイル、および1つまたは複数のビデオデータを再生するユニットを記録するために、前記記録するユニットを制御するように構成された制御手段と、
から構成され、それぞれのサムネイルは前記記録媒体にメニューデータの1つのブロックとしてまとめて保存され、
前記メニューデータファイルは前記メニュー管理情報に基づいて再生されることを特徴とする記録装置。 - 前記制御手段は、前記メニューデータファイルの少なくとも2つのサムネイル間にパッディングデータを有する前記メニューデータ領域に、メニューデータファイルを記録するように制御することを特徴とする請求項13記載の装置。
- 前記制御手段は、メニューデータファイル内のサムネイルのスタートアドレスおよびエンドアドレスを提供する前記メニュー管理情報を記録するように制御することを特徴とする請求項13記載の装置。
