Claims (5)
- モータ(82)と、前記モータ(82)に供給する電流を制御するモータドライバ(93h)と、前記モータ(82)に供給される電流(I)に基づいて前記モータの(82)温度を推定する温度推定手段(101〜104)と、推定された前記モータ(82)の温度に応じてモータ供給電流の上限値を制限する過熱保護手段(108)とを有するモータ保護装置において、
前記温度推定手段(101〜104)が、供給電流によるモータの発熱量と放熱量との差を時系列で積算する発熱量累積手段(101)を具備し、かつ前記放熱量が、前記発熱量累算手段(101)で算出された発熱量累積値(Td)と周囲温度(Tm)との差の関数であり、
前記発熱量(Q)が前記モータ供給電流値の二乗(I×I)と予定の発熱係数(Kup)との乗算値で計算され、前記放熱量が発熱量累積値(Td)と周囲温度(Tm)との差と予定の放熱係数(Kdn)との乗算値で計算されるとともに、
前記発熱係数(Kup)および放熱係数(Kdn)は、前記発熱量累積値(Td)が、予め測定した前記モータ(82)の実測温度より高くなるように設定されていることを特徴とするモータ保護装置。 - 前記周囲温度(Tm)が、予め設定される固定値であることを特徴とする請求項1記載のモータ保護装置。
- 前記周囲温度(Tm)が、前記モータ(82)の発熱量と放熱量との差を時系列で積算した発熱量累積値(TS)の関数として設定され、前記発熱量および前記放熱量には前記発熱係数および放熱係数とは別の第2発熱係数(Kup2)および第2放熱係数(Kdn2)が乗算されることを特徴とする請求項1または2記載のモータ保護装置。
- 前記周囲温度(Tm)の設定に際して、前記モータ(82)の放熱量を予め設定される固定値とすることを特徴とする請求項3記載のモータ保護装置。
- 前記モータ(82)が、ステアリングシャフト(25)に作用するトルクに応じた操舵補助力を該ステアリングシャフト(25)に付与するパワーステアリング装置用モータであり、
前記モータドライバ(93h)が、前記トルクの大きさに応じてモータ供給電流を変化させて前記操舵補助力を制御するように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1つに記載のモータ保護装置。
