Description
図1は本発明に係る光トランシーバの分解図である。光トランシーバ1は、送信サブアセンブリ(TOSA12)12と受信サブアセンブル(ROSA13)13を含んでいる。両サブアセンセンブリは、図1に示される構造では、いわゆるバタフライパッケージと総称される箱型の素子搭載部(12c、13c)と、この素子搭載部の一側面から延び出すスリーブ部(12a、13a)を備えている。光トランシーバ1はさらに、光コネクタを受納する光レセプタクル部材11、ホルダ17、及び回路基板14を含み、これら部品は上下ハウジング(14、16)で形成される内部空間に搭載されている。上部ハウジング15と下部ハウジング16は金属製である。また、レセプタクル部材1は樹脂製とすることができ、ホルダ17については、樹脂、金属板、いずれでも形成することができる。
Claims (2)
- 光レセプタクル部材と、光サブアセンブリと、ホルダと、ハウジングとを有する光トランシーバであって、
該光レセプタクル部材は光コネクタを受納するキャビティと、該キャビティに接続する二つの開口を有し、
該光サブアセンブリは送信用光サブアセンブリと、受信用光サブアセンブリを含み、さらに該送信用光サブアセンブリ、受信用光サブアセンブリのそれぞれはスリーブと光素子とを有し、該それぞれのスリーブが該レセプタクル部材のそれぞれの開口に挿入されて該光コネクタと該キャビティ内で結合することで、該それぞれの光素子と該光コネクタに付属する光ファイバとが光結合し、
該ハウジングは、該レセプタクル部材と該光サブアセンブリとを搭載し、
該ホルダは、前記レセプタクル部材を保持する一対の腕部と、該一対の腕部を接続する連結部を有し、該連結部は前記レセプタクル部材の二つの開口に対応し、かつ、前記スリーブがそれぞれ挿入される二つの開口を備え、該送信用光サブアセンブリのスリーブが挿入される開口は円形であり、該受信用光サブアセンブリのスリーブが挿入される開口が長円形であり、該腕部はその先端に該腕部の外方に向けたリブを有し、前記ハウジングはその内壁面に該リブを収納する溝を有し、該リブが該溝内をスライドすることで、該ホルダが該ハウジングに対して上下方向に可動とされ該レセプタクル部材の該ハウジングに対する位置を調整し、該レセプタクルと該送信用光サブアセンブリと該受信用光サブアセンブリの組立体を該送信用光サブアセンブリのスリーブを中心に該受信用光サブアセンブリのスリーブが挿入される該ホルダの開口の長円形の範囲内で回転可能であり、該送信用光サブアセンブリと該受信用光サブアセンブリは該ハウジングに密着している、
ことを特徴とする光トランシーバ。 - 前記レセプタクル部材の側面は段差を有し、
前記ホルダの一対の腕部それぞれは、他方の腕部に向けて突出するリブをさらに有し、
これら他方の腕部に向けて突出するリブが該レセプタクル部材側面の段差に当接し、該連結部が該レセプタクル部材の後壁に当接して該レセプタクル部材を保持している、請求項1に記載の光トランシーバ。
