Description
a)少なくとも1つのビニル官能性架橋性フィルム形成剤と、
b)15重量パーセントより多いベンゾトリアゾール紫外線吸収剤と、
c)前記ベンゾトリアゾールを可溶化する少なくとも1つの共重合性モノマーと、を含む均質なコーティング組成物を提供する。
a)支持体を用意する工程と、
b)(i)少なくとも1つのビニル官能性架橋性フィルム形成剤と、(ii)15重量パーセントより多いベンゾトリアゾール紫外線吸収剤と、(iii)前記ベンゾトリアゾールを可溶化する少なくとも1つの共重合性モノマーとを含む均質な混合物で前記支持体の少なくとも一部をコーティングする工程と、
c)コーティングを重合させる工程と、を含む耐紫外線性コーティングの製造方法を提供する。
a)少なくとも1つのビニル官能性架橋性フィルム形成剤と、
b)15重量パーセントより多いベンゾトリアゾール紫外線吸収剤と、
c)前記ベンゾトリアゾールを可溶化する少なくとも1つの共重合性モノマーと、を含む均質な混合物の重合反応生成物を含む耐紫外線性コーティングで上塗りされた支持体を含む物品を提供する。
様々な可溶化モノマーへのベンゾトリアゾール2−(2−ヒドロキシ−3−α−クミル−5−t−オクチルフェニル)−5−トリフルオロメチルベンゾトリアゾール(チバ・スペシャルティ・ケミカルズから実験的に入手可能なCGL−139)の溶解度を定量した。ベンゾトリアゾールを5%の増分で用いて混合物を製造した。試験されるベンゾトリアゾールおよび可溶化モノマーを、溶解されるまで水槽中で70℃にゆるやかに加熱しながら混合し、次いで48時間室温において静置した。48時間後に、各々の混合物をベンゾトリアゾールの沈殿について検査した。溶解度は、沈殿がない試験された最も高い濃度および沈殿が生じる最も低い濃度を記録することによって5%以内で定量された。結果を以下の表1に示す。文献に記録される場合、試験された可溶化モノマーから完全に製造されたポリマーのTgもまた与えられる。
実施例1の方法を用いて、イソボルニルアクリレートへの様々なベンゾトリアゾールの溶解度を定量した。試験されたベンゾトリアゾールの各々の式を上に示す。また、これらのベンゾトリアゾールは、一般構造2−(2−ヒドロキシ−3−R2−5−R3−フェニル)−5−R1−ベンゾトリアゾールを用いて表すことができる。CGL−139については、R1=トリフルオロメチル、R2=α−クミル、およびR3=t−オクチル。チヌビン928については、R1=H、R2=α−クミル、およびR3=t−オクチル。チヌビン328については、R1=H、R2=t−アミル、およびR3=t−アミル。チヌビン327については、R1=クロロ、R2=t−ブチル、およびR3=t−ブチル。チヌビン326については、R1=クロロ、R2=t−ブチル、およびR3=メチル。チヌビン234およびチヌビン900の両方については、R1=H、R2=α−クミル、およびR3=α−クミル。結果を以下の表2に示す。
様々なコーティング組成物を調製するために、様々な量のCGL−139ベンゾトリアゾールを、イソボルニルアクリレート(サートマー・カンパニーからSR−506として得られた「IBOA」)と、ヘキサンジオールジアクリレート(サートマー・カンパニーからSR−238として得られた「HDODA」)と、ペンタエリトリトールテトラアクリレート(サートマー・カンパニーからSR−295として得られた「PETA」)と、ウレタンアクリレートオリゴマー(85%のウレタンアクリレートオリゴマーと15%のHDODAとを含有すると考えられるブレンドとして、サートマー・カンパニーからCN966B85として得られた「UA」)または任意選択のシラン処理コロイドシリカヒドロゾルとを含有する混合物に添加した。
ブタンジオールジアクリレートがビニル官能性架橋性フィルム形成剤としておよび可溶化モノマーとして役立つコーティング溶液を調製した。13.58部のSR−213(1,4−ブタンジオールジアクリレート)、2.72部のCGL−139(UVA)、0.17部のチヌビン123(HALS)、0.17部のイルガキュア819および0.34部のイルガキュア184(光開始剤)、0.02部のテゴ・ラッド(TEGO RAD)2100(レベリング剤)、および3部の酢酸エチル(溶剤)を配合し、固形分が溶解されるまでブレンドした。これは、全コーティング固形分16.0%のCGL−139添加量に相応した。この溶液をPVdCプライマー処理VM2000フィルム(3Mから市販されている)上にコーティングした。溶剤を70℃においてフラッシュした。フュージョンD−バルブを用いて窒素下でコーティングを硬化した。コーティングされた物品の1つの試料を1週間、室内条件に置いた。試料は、この時間の間にブルーミングを示さなかった。コーティングされた物品の2つのさらに別の試料を1週間、約100℃において炉処理した。一方の試料を炉内に自由に掛けておき、他方の試料を2つのガラス板の間に水平に置き、1枚の無地のポリエステルフィルムを上方ガラス板と試料のコーティング面との間に入れた。どちらの試料も、ブルーミングの徴候を示さなかった。
Claims (4)
- 均質なコーティング組成物であって、
a)少なくとも1つのビニル官能性架橋性フィルム形成剤と、
b)当該組成物中の固形分の全重量を基準として15重量パーセントより多い、2−(2−ヒドロキシ−3,5−ジ−tert−アミル−フェニル)−2H−ベンゾトリアゾール、2−(2−ヒドロキシ−3−α−クミル−5−tert−オクチルフェニル)−2H−ベンゾトリアゾール、および5−トリフルオロメチル−2−(2−ヒドロキシ−3−α−クミル−5−tert−オクチルフェニル)−2H−ベンゾトリアゾールからなる群から選ばれるベンゾトリアゾール紫外線吸収剤と、
c)前記ベンゾトリアゾールを可溶化する、イソオクチルアクリレート、2−エチルヘキシルアクリレート、t−ブチルアクリレート、グリシジルメタクリレート、ベンジルメタクリレート、イソボルニルアクリレート、イソボルニルメタクリレート、t−ブチルシクロヘキシルアクリレート、シクロヘキシルアクリレート、n−オクチルデシルアクリレート、ブタンジオールジアクリレート、およびn−ビニルカプロラクタムからなる群から選ばれる少なくとも1つの共重合性モノマーと、を含む均質なコーティング組成物。 - 前記フィルム形成剤とモノマーとが化学的に異なった種であるか、または同じ種である、請求項1に記載の均質なコーティング組成物。
- 耐紫外線性コーティングの製造方法であって、
a)支持体を用意する工程と、
b)請求項1または2に記載の均質なコーティング組成物で前記支持体の少なくとも一部をコーティングする工程と、
c)コーティングを重合させる工程と、を含む、耐紫外線性コーティングの製造方法。 - 請求項1または2に記載の均質なコーティング組成物の重合反応生成物を含む耐紫外線性コーティングで上塗りされた支持体を含む物品。
