Description
従来の位置をつきとめる技術はある状況において位置を正確に解決する困難性を有する。衛星ベースのロケーションシステムは、空において明瞭な視界が得られないとき、不正確さに悩まされる。地上波ベースシステムは、三辺測量の期間周知の参考として機能するいくつかの基地局との通信を必要とする。これらのシステムは主として通信目的のために設計されたので、モバイル装置の通信範囲内に十分に地理的に分散された基地局が無い。
Claims (15)
- 無線装置の位置を見つけるためのシステムにおいて、
前記無線装置の通信可能範囲内にある基地局のアルマナックを発生するための遠隔エンティティの手段であって、前記基地局のアルマナックは、非協同基地局によらずに決定される前記無線装置の位置に対してカスタム化されており、前記基地局のアルマナックは、前記無線装置に通信トラヒック・サービスを提供しないが、距離を決定することに役に立つ情報を提供する、非協同基地局を記述する少なくとも1つのアルマナックエントリを含み、前記遠隔エンティティは、前記無線装置に前記カスタム化された基地局のアルマナックを提供し、前記無線装置が前記カスタム化された基地局のアルマナックを用いてその位置を決定するように構成されている、遠隔エンティティの手段、
を備え、前記基地局のアルマナックは、協同基地局から受信される、システム。 - 無線装置によって実行される前記無線装置の位置を見つける方法において、前記方法は、
第1の基地局から第1の固有の識別子を含む第1の信号を受信することと、
前記無線装置と前記第1の基地局との間の第1の距離を推定することと、
前記第1の基地局の第1の位置を参照することであって、前記第1の位置は以前に決定されることと、
第2の基地局から第2の固有の識別子を含む第2の信号を受信することと、
前記無線装置と前記第2の基地局との間の第2の距離を推定することと、
前記第2の基地局の第2の位置を参照することであって、前記第2の位置は以前に決定されることと、
第3の基地局から第3の固有の識別子を含む第3の信号を受信することと、
前記無線装置と前記第3の基地局との間の第3の距離を推定することと、
前記第3の基地局の第3の位置を参照することであって、前記第3の位置は以前に決定されることと、
前記第1、第2および第3の基地局の少なくとも1つは、遠隔位置まで前記無線装置に通信トラヒック・サービスを提供することができる協同基地局であり、また、残りの少なくとも1つは、前記無線装置に通信トラヒック・サービスを提供しないが、距離を決定することに役立つ情報を供給する非協同基地局であって、そして前記第1、第2および第3の基地局は協同基地局あるいは非協同基地局のいずれかであり、
前記参照された第1の位置と、前記参照された第2の位置と、前記参照された第3の位置とに従って、また、前記無線装置の通信可能範囲内にある基地局のアルマナックに従って前記無線装置の位置を計算することであって、前記基地局のアルマナックは、非協同基地局によらずに決定される前記無線装置の位置に対してカスタム化され、前記基地局のアルマナックは、非協同基地局を記述するアルマナックエントリを含み、前記協同基地局から受信されることと、
を備えた方法。 - 前記計算することは、前記第1、第2、および第3の距離と前記第1、第2および第3の位置を用いて前記無線装置の位置を計算することを備えた、請求項2の方法。
- 前記推定することは、
基地局が前記無線装置により認識されるかどうかを決定することと、
基地局電波到達範囲、応答遅延、信号強度、および信号レンジの少なくとも1つに基づいて距離を推測することと、
を備えた、請求項2の方法。 - 前記第1、第2、および第3の基地局の少なくとも1つから前記第1、第2および第3の位置の少なくとも1つを受信することをさらに備えた、請求項2の方法。
- 前記第1、第2、および第3の位置の少なくとも1つを含むアルマナックを受信することをさらに備えた、請求項2の方法。
- 基地局の通信モードの情報を含むアルマナックを受信することをさらに備えた、請求項2の方法。
- 基地局タイプを含むアルマナックを受信することをさらに含む、請求項2の方法。
- 前記無線装置の位置を割り当てることをさらに備えた、請求項2の方法。
- 前記推定すること、および前記計算することの少なくとも1つが前記無線装置により実行される、請求項2の方法。
- 前記第1、第2、および第3の基地局の少なくとも1つは無線ローカルエリアネットワークである、請求項2の方法。
