Description
ものであり、少なくともグレーズ層2の隆起部21を覆うように形成されている。発熱抵抗体3の厚みは、たとえば0.2〜2.0μmに設定される。電極層4は、発熱抵抗体3の上層側に積層され、たとえばAuを主成分とする金属をスパッタリング法によって成膜したものである。電極層4の厚みは、たとえば0.3〜2.0μmに設定される。電極層4は、たとえばフォトリソグラフィ法などによってその一部分が選択的にエッチングされており、このことにより共通電極41、個別電極42が形成されている。

Claims (5)
- 基板上に、グレーズ層と、発熱抵抗体と、Auを主成分とする電極と、上記発熱抵抗体および上記電極を覆う保護膜とを有し、上記電極は、コモンライン部とこのコモンライン部から延出する複数の延出部からなる共通電極、および、上記延出部の各々の先端に対して間隔を隔てて先端が対向する複数の個別電極を含むサーマルヘッドであって、
上記コモンライン部の下層側には絶縁膜が全面形成され、
上記コモンライン部の上層側には、Ni、Cr、およびTiのうちの少なくとも1種を含む金属薄膜が形成され、
上記コモンライン部および上記金属薄膜には、それらの厚み方向に貫通する複数の貫通部が形成され、かつ、
上記絶縁膜は、上記電極よりも上記保護膜との密着性が高く、上記金属薄膜は、上記電極よりも上記保護膜との密着性が高いことを特徴とする、サーマルヘッド。 - 上記貫通部は、貫通孔である、請求項1に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 上記貫通孔の直径は、1〜10μmである、請求項2に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 上記貫通部は、スリットである、請求項1に記載のサーマルヘッド。
- 上記スリットの幅は、1〜10μmである、請求項4に記載のサーマルヘッド。
