Description
これにより、ガラス基板表面に強固に付着した研磨剤や異物を浮き上がらせ、次工程のスクラブ洗浄でこれらの研磨剤や異物をガラス基板から確実に除去できるようになる。また、研磨工程後直ちにガラス基板を前記液体に接触させるので、研磨工程後に異物がガラス基板に付着することを効果的に防止する。
Claims (6)
- ガラス基板を研磨する研磨工程と、該ガラス基板をスクラブ洗浄するスクラブ洗浄工程を有する、SiO2を主成分とする情報記録媒体用ガラス基板の製造方法において、
前記研磨工程後、前記ガラス基板の表面を、Si元素溶出量が100〜3000ppb/mm2の範囲のフッ化水素酸と接触させる工程を行い、それに続いて前記スクラブ洗浄工程を行うことを特徴とする、情報記録媒体用ガラス基板の製造方法。 - 該接触させる工程はスクラブ洗浄装置内で行われる、請求項1に記載の情報記録媒体用ガラス基板の製造方法。
- 該接触させる工程では、スクラブ洗浄液を供給する機構を用いて該液体を供給する、請求項2に記載の情報記録媒体用ガラス基板の製造方法。
- 該接触させる時間は、20秒以上である、請求項1に記載の情報記録媒体用ガラス基板の製造方法。
- 該接触させる時間は、30秒乃至1000秒の範囲である、請求項1に記載の情報記録媒体用ガラス基板の製造方法。
- 該液体への接触が、貯溜した該液体中への浸漬により行われる、請求項1記載の情報記録媒体用ガラス基板の製造方法。
