Description
本発明に基づく蛍光体は、400nm〜480nmの青色域波長帯の光によって励起され、発光中心波長が600nm以上である蛍光体であり、1>x≧0.1とする(Sr1-x,Bax)3SiO5を母材とし、Euを賦活剤として含み、好ましくは、x≧0.2である。更に、好ましくは0.8≧xであり、より好ましくは0.5≧xである。0.5≧x≧0.1の場合、(Sr1-xBax)3SiO5:Eu蛍光体の蛍光強度は黄色YAG蛍光体(Y1.5,Gd1.5)(Al2,Ga3)O12:Ceの約1.07倍〜約1.20倍である。
図1は、本発明の実施例において、(Sr1-xBax)3SiO5:Eu蛍光体(母材組成x=0.0、0.25、0.5、0.75、1.0)の蛍光スペクトルを説明する図である。

Claims (8)
- 0.25≦x≦0.5とする(Sr1-x,Bax)3SiO5を母材としユーロピウム(Eu)を賦活剤として含み、Euが前記母材のSr及びBaの位置に等しく置換されるものとして、Sr、Ba及びEuの合計mol数に対するEuのmol数の比γが、0.06≦γ≦0.08となるように、Sr、Ba、Si及びEuをそれぞれ含む化合物が混合された混合物を、1300℃以上、1700℃以下の温度で焼成することによって合成され、BaのSrに対するmol数の比βが、1.0≦β≦3.4であり、励起波長450nmによる蛍光スペクトルの発光中心波長が608nm以上とされた、蛍光体。
- x=0.5、γ=0.08、β=1.0であり、前記発光中心波長が610nmとされた、請求項1に記載の蛍光体。
- 0.25≦x≦0.5とする(Sr 1-x ,Ba x ) 3 SiO 5 を母材としユーロピウム( Eu)を賦活剤として含み、Euが前記母材のSr及びBaの位置に等しく置換される ものとして、Sr、Ba及びEuの合計mol数に対するEuのmol数の比γが、0 .06≦γ≦0.08となるように、Sr、Ba、Si及びEuをそれぞれ含む化合物 の混合物を調製する工程と、
前記混合物を、1300℃以上、1700℃以下の温度で焼成する工程と
を有し、BaのSrに対するmol数の比βが、1.0≦β≦3.4であり、励起波長450nmによる蛍光スペクトルの発光中心波長が608nm以上とされた蛍光体を得る、蛍光体の製造方法。 - x=0.5、γ=0.08、β=1.0であり、前記発光中心波長が610nmとされた、請求項3に記載の蛍光体の製造方法。
- 請求項1又は請求項2に記載の蛍光体を使用した発光デバイス。
- 前記蛍光体が青色光を出射する発光素子によって励起された、請求項5に記載の発光デバイス。
- 請求項1又は請求項2に記載の蛍光体を使用した発光デバイスを、表示部を照射する光源として有する表示デバイス。
- 前記蛍光体が青色光を出射する発光素子によって励起された、請求項7に記載の表示デバイス。
