Description
なお、上記実施の形態では、絶縁板12が切り欠き部12C,12Dを有するようにしたが、基部151の端縁151Tと外装缶11の内壁面との間隔C1,C2を1.0mm以下とすれば、そのような切り欠き部を設けなくとも、上記実施の形態と同様の効果が得られる。
上記実施の形態で説明した二次電池を作製した。但し、絶縁板12としては、切り欠き部を有しないものを用いた。まず、炭酸リチウム(Li2 CO3 )と炭酸コバルト(CoCO3 )とを、Li2 CO3 :CoCO3 =0.5:1(モル比)の割合で混合し、空気中において900℃で5時間焼成して、正極活物質としてのリチウム・コバルト複合酸化物(LiCoO2 )を得た。次いで、このリチウム・コバルト複合酸化物91質量部と、導電剤であるグラファイト6質量部と、結着剤であるポリフッ化ビニリデン3質量部とを混合して正極合剤を調整した。続いて、この正極合剤を溶剤であるN−メチル−2−ピロリドンに分散させて正極合剤スラリーとし、厚み20μmのアルミニウム箔よりなる正極集電体21Aの両面に均一に塗布して乾燥させ、ロールプレス機で圧縮成型して正極活物質層21Bを形成し正極21を作製した。続いて、正極集電体21Aの一端にアルミニウム製の正極リード24を取り付けた。
次に、絶縁板12に切り欠き部12C,12Dを設けるようにしたことを除き、他は、比較例1−1〜1−5とそれぞれ同様の構成を有する実施例2−1〜2−4および比較例2−1の二次電池を5つ(電池1〜電池5)作製した。
Claims (5)
- 正極と負極とを有する電池素子と、
前記電池素子を収容すると共に、前記正極または負極のいずれか一方と電気的に接続された外装缶と、
前記正極または負極のいずれか他方と接続され、前記外装缶内に収容された板状の基部および前記外装缶の外部への導出部を有する外部接続端子と、
前記外部接続端子と前記電池素子とを隔てる底部、および前記外部接続端子を取り囲むように前記底部に立設する壁部を有する絶縁部材と
を備え、
前記外部接続端子の基部は、前記外装缶の内壁面と1.20mm以下の間隔を有するように離間しており、
前記絶縁部材は、前記外装缶の厚み方向において前記外部接続端子の基部と重なる位置に切り欠き部を有する
電池。 - 前記電池素子は、帯状の正極集電体上に正極活物質層を有する前記正極と、帯状の負極集電体上に負極活物質層を有する前記負極とをセパレータを間にして積層し、巻回した構成を有する請求項1記載の電池。
- 前記負極は、電極反応物質を吸蔵および放出することが可能であり、構成元素として金属元素および半金属元素のうちの少なくとも1種を含む負極活物質を含む請求項1記載の電池。
- 前記負極は、前記負極活物質として、スズ(Sn)およびケイ素(Si)のうちの少なくとも一方を構成元素として含む材料を含む請求項3記載の電池。
- 前記負極は、前記負極活物質として、スズと、コバルト(Co)と、炭素(C)とを構成元素として含み、炭素の含有量が9.9質量%以上29.7質量%以下であり、かつスズとコバルトとの合計に対するコバルトの割合が30質量%以上70質量%以下であるCoSnC含有材料を含む請求項3記載の電池。
