この操作において、124グラム(0.5モル)のジフェニルメチルホスホネート、113グラム(1.03モル)のレゾルシノール及び0.54グラムのナトリウムメチレートが加熱されて、そして230℃において反応フラスコ中で攪拌された。反応フラスコは、電気加熱テープ及び断熱材により包まれた約40cmの高さのVigreuxカラムを備えられて、フェノール及び任意の揮発したレゾルシノールの該カラム中での固化を抑える。減圧が625mmから5mmHgに徐々に低下された。反応は4時間後に停止した。フェノールが反応の間に留去され、そして93グラムの蒸留物(フェノールとして計算されるなら約1モル)がコールドトラップ中に集められ、241グラムが反応フラスコ中に残存した。蒸留物は、殆ど純粋なフェノールであると思われた。
この合成において、200グラム(0.8モル)のジフェニルメチルホスホネート(DPMP)、89グラム(0.8モル)のレゾルシノール及び0.43グラムのナトリウムメチレートが245℃で反応された。温度が、3時間30分かけて260℃に徐々に上げられた。反応の間に、141グラムの凝縮物がトラップに集められ、そして赤外スペクトルにより証明されて殆ど純粋なフェノールであると分かった。これは、DPMP中のフェノキシ基の94%がレゾルシノールにより置き換えられたことを暗示している。約136グラムの生成物が反応フラスコ中の残った。最終生成物は、透明な明るい琥珀色のガラス状固体であった。
この合成において、170グラム(0.69モル)のジフェニルメチルホスホネート、72グラム(0.65モル)、0.20グラム(0.61×10-3モル)のトリフェニルホスフェート、及び0.025グラムのナトリウムメチレートが6時間30分間、240℃において加熱された。フェノールを取り除くために適用された減圧は、625mmから0.3mmHgに徐々に下げられ、同時に、5時間かけて温度が、260℃に徐々に上げられた。約137グラムのフェノールがトラップに集められ、これに対して、反応フラスコ中に103グラムの生成物が残った。最終生成物は、80℃で流動性である、透明な淡黄色の固体であった。
温度計、電磁攪拌機、蒸留ヘッド及び窒素入口を備えられた三つ首フラスコに、163グラム(0.52モル)のトリフェニルホスファイト及び1.0ミリリットルのヨウ化メチルが仕込まれた。次いで、32.7グラム(0.26モル)のトリメチルホスフェートが、1時間かけて100〜110℃で滴下添加された。反応温度が次いで210℃に上げられて、そして発熱反応が観察された。反応温度は2時間230℃に維持され、そして反応混合物は、それがエステル交換を受ける前に分析された。ジフェニルメチルホスホネートが液体として得られた。31P NMR(CDCl3)は95%のジフェニルメチルホスホネートを示した。不純物は、トリフェニルホスフェート(0.8%、δ=−16.4ppm)、トリメチルホスフェート(0.6%、δ=−10.3ppm)、及び未知の化合物(δ=19.8、20.4、28.4ppm)を含んでいた。この粗ジフェニルメチルホスホネートの酸価は5.4ミリグラムKOH/グラムであった。
温度計、電磁攪拌機、蒸留ヘッド及び窒素入口を備えられた三つ首フラスコに、148グラム(0.48モル)のトリフェニルホスファイト、0.9ミリリットルのヨウ化メチル及び31グラム(0.25モル)のジメチルメチルホスホネートが110℃において仕込まれた。反応温度が徐々に上げられた。210℃において、約15分間継続する迅速な発熱反応が観察された。反応混合物は、230℃において1時間更に攪拌された。粗ジフェニルメチルホスホネートは、無色の透明な液体混合物であった。31P NMR(CDCl3)は93%のジフェニルメチルホスホネートを示した。不純物は、トリフェニルホスフェート(0.3%、δ=−16.4ppm) 及び未知の化合物(δ=19.8(2.8%)、20.4(2.8%)、28.4(1.0%)ppm)を含んでいた。この粗ジフェニルメチルホスホネートの酸価は8.1ミリグラムKOH/グラムであった。
ラミネートの製造:実施例1〜6からの難燃剤及びエポキシは、60℃において30%の2‐ブタノン中に溶解された。次いで、1重量%の2‐メチルイミダゾール(Air Products製、AMI‐2商標)が加えられた。得られた温ワニスが、ガラスファイバーマット(7628,BGF,0.17mm)に施与された。プリプレグは、一晩、室温において、そして次いで、30分間、90℃において乾燥された。非粘着性の透明なプリプレグが得られた。プリプレグの8個の層が、積み重ねられ、銅箔(0.035mm)で側面を付けられ、130℃及び8MPaの圧力において30分間予備硬化され、そして次いで、171℃及び30MPaの圧力において60分間硬化された。
Claims (15)
- 繰り返し構造‐OP(=O)(R)Oアリーレン‐(ここで、Rはアルキルである)を含むヒドロキシ末端化されたオリゴマー状ホスホネートを含む熱硬化性樹脂組成物。
- ヒドロキシ末端化されたホスホネートの含有量が、ホスホネートの末端の合計数に基づいて、20%〜100%の範囲であるところの請求項1記載の組成物。
- アリーレンが1,3‐フェニレンであるところの請求項1又は2記載の組成物。
- Rが低級アルキルであるところの請求項1〜3のいずれか1項記載の組成物。
- アリーレンが1,3‐フェニレンであり、かつRが低級アルキルであるところの請求項1又は2記載の組成物。
- アリーレンが1,3‐フェニレンであり、かつRがメチルであるところの請求項1又は2記載の組成物。
- アリーレンがビスフェノール二価残基単位であるところの請求項1又は2記載の組成物。
- アリーレンがビスフェノール二価残基単位であり、かつRがメチルであるところの請求項1又は2記載の組成物。
- 他の難燃剤をも含有する、請求項1〜8のいずれか1項記載の組成物。
- ヒドロキシ末端基が主として‐アリーレン‐OHタイプであるところの請求項1〜9のいずれか1項記載の組成物。
- アリーレンがレゾルシノール由来である、請求項1または10記載の組成物。
- ヒドロキシ末端化されたホスホネートの含有量が、ホスホネートの末端の合計数に基づいて、50%〜100%の範囲であるところの請求項1〜11のいずれか1項記載の組成物。
- 熱硬化性樹脂がエポキシ樹脂であり、ホスホネートとエポキシが互いに予め反応されている又は反応されていないところの請求項1〜12のいずれか1項記載の組成物。
- 請求項1〜12のいずれか1項記載のオリゴマー状のヒドロキシ末端化されたホスホネートの難燃化量を含み、V‐0の難燃性UL‐94等級を満たしかつ耐剥離性のエポキシラミネート。
- 請求項1〜13のいずれか1項記載の組成物を含むエポキシ樹脂組成物。
