Description
比表面積が0.6〜1.8m2/gで、かつ細孔のメジアン径が1.6〜5.3μmであることを特徴とする脱酸素剤を提供するものである。
大気下において含セリウム塩又はその水和物を500〜1400℃で1〜20時間焼成して、多孔質体からなる蛍石型の酸化セリウムを生成させ、次いで水素濃度が爆発下限以上の還元雰囲気下において該酸化セリウムを700〜1100℃で1〜3時間焼成して、該酸化セリウムから酸素を引き抜き、CeOx(xは2未満の正数を表す。)で表され、かつ可逆的な酸素欠陥を有する蛍石型の酸化セリウムを生成させることを特徴とする、酸化セリウムの製造方法を提供するものである。

(1)酸素欠陥を有しない酸化セリウムの合成
炭酸セリウム100gを加熱炉内に静置し、空気を流通させながら加熱して焼成を行った。加熱は、室温から開始し、10℃/分の昇温速度で加熱を行い、500℃に到達したのち、この温度を20時間保持した。その後、自然放冷した。空気の流通量は1000SCCMとした。このようにして酸素欠陥を有しない酸化セリウムの多孔質体を得た。XRDによる測定で、この酸化セリウムはCeO2で表され、蛍石型の結晶構造であることが確認された。図1にXRD測定図を示す。この酸化セリウムをボールミルで粉砕処理した。この酸化セリウムにおける細孔のメジアン径は1.7μmであり、比表面積は3.15m2/gであった。
前項(1)で得られた酸化セリウム(50g)を加熱炉内に静置し、100%の水素ガスを流通させながら加熱して還元を行った。加熱は、室温から開始し、10℃/分の昇温速度で加熱を行い、1000℃に到達したのち、この温度を1時間保持した。その後、自然放冷した。水素ガスの流通量は1000SCCMとした。このようにして、可逆的な酸素欠陥を有する酸化セリウムの多孔質体を得た。XRDによる測定の結果、観察されるピークが図1に比べて全体的に低角側に若干シフトしているものの、この酸化セリウムは蛍石型の結晶構造であることが確認された。図2にXRD測定図を示す。この酸化セリウムにおける細孔のメジアン径は1.6μmであり、比表面積は1.81m2/gであった。また、この酸化セリウムの最大粒径D99は13.24μmであった。元素分析の結果、この酸化セリウムはCeO1.75で表されるものであった。
実施例1における(1)の焼成条件及び(2)の還元条件を、以下の表1に示す値とする以外は実施例1と同様にして可逆的な酸素欠陥を有する酸化セリウムの多孔質体を得た。得られた酸化セリウムにおける細孔のメジアン径、比表面積、最大粒径D99を同表に示す。元素分析の結果、各実施例及び各比較例で得られた酸化セリウムは、いずれもCeO1.75で表されるものであった。
実施例及び比較例で得られた酸化セリウムについて、上述の方法で酸素吸収量を測定した。ただし、大気への暴露は0℃、1気圧とした。その結果を図3(a)及び(b)に示す。同図に示す結果から明らかなように、実施例で得られた酸化セリウムは、0℃という低温環境においても酸素吸収速度が高いことが判る。これに対して比較例で得られた酸化セリウムは、実施例に比べて酸素吸収速度が低いことが判る。また同図には示していないが、実施例で得られた酸化セリウムは、25℃、1気圧の環境下において発火しないものであった。
Claims (9)
- CeOx(xは2未満の正数を表す。)で表され、かつ可逆的な酸素欠陥を有する蛍石型の酸化セリウムの多孔質体を含み、
比表面積が0.6〜1.8m2/gで、かつ細孔のメジアン径が1.6〜5.3μmであることを特徴とする脱酸素剤。 - 最大粒径D99が20μm以下である請求項1記載の脱酸素剤。
- 請求項1に記載の脱酸素剤に用いられる酸化セリウムの製造方法であって、
大気下において含セリウム塩又はその水和物を500〜1400℃で1〜20時間焼成して、多孔質体からなる蛍石型の酸化セリウムを生成させ、次いで水素濃度が爆発下限以上の還元雰囲気下において該酸化セリウムを700〜1100℃で1〜3時間焼成して、該酸化セリウムから酸素を引き抜き、CeOx(xは2未満の正数を表す。)で表され、かつ可逆的な酸素欠陥を有する蛍石型の酸化セリウムを生成させることを特徴とする、酸化セリウムの製造方法。 - 前記含セリウム塩が、炭酸セリウム、水酸化セリウム、硝酸セリウム、硝酸アンモニウムセリウム、シュウ酸セリウム、セリウムアセチルアセトナート、硫酸アンモニウムセリウム、トリフルオロメタンスルホン酸セリウム又は硫酸セリウムである請求項3記載の酸化セリウムの製造方法。
- 請求項1又は2記載の脱酸素剤と、酸素易透過性を有する樹脂とを含む脱酸素樹脂組成物。
- ペレット状、フィルム状又はトレー状の形状を有する請求項5記載の脱酸素樹脂組成物。
- 請求項1又は2記載の脱酸素剤が、透気抵抗度を有する包装体に内包されてなることを特徴とする脱酸素包装体。
- 請求項1又は2記載の脱酸素剤からなる脱酸素層を有することを特徴とする脱酸素機能フィルム。
- 前記脱酸素層と、その一面側に設けられた酸素バリア性を有する酸素バリア層と、その他面側に設けられた酸素透過性を有する酸素透過層とを有する請求項8記載の脱酸素機能フィルム。
