Description

概して、本発明は、整形外科用インプラントに関する。より詳細には、本発明は、椎骨または他の骨の欠陥の骨セメント処置を容易にするために使用されるデバイスに関する。
骨格において欠陥を引き起こす多くの疾患状態および異常な状態が存在する。例えば、骨粗鬆症および他の代謝性骨疾患は、骨構造を弱め、骨折をしやすくする。処置されない場合、特定の骨折および骨の欠陥は、重篤な神経性合併症または他の医学的合併症の発生を進行し得、そして引き起こし得る。
本発明は、骨の欠陥、特に椎体内の欠陥を処置するために、骨セメントまたは同様の充填物材料(本明細書中で骨セメントと総称的にいわれる)とともに使用される、折りたたみ可能で、自己復元するステント型のデバイスを特徴とする。このデバイスは、折りたたみ可能で、自己復元するワイヤ格子または編み込まれた一次構造および流動誘導特性を備える。
本発明に従ったセメント誘導構造の第1の実施形態100は、図1〜図11に示される。示されるように、中空の構造100は、概して、形が(以下に示すように、本発明の範囲内であるように、種々の他の形状もまた企図されるが)卵形であってもよいか、またはフットボール形状であってもよい。概して、構造100は、弾性で自己復元するコア部材102(この部材102は、クリンプ、溶接、接着、縫い付けて閉じられるか、またはそうでなければ、一端104で閉じられて反対端106で開かれるか、もしくはクリンプされない);1つ以上のセメント流動窓108(示される実施形態は、一対のセメント流動窓108を有する);および流動遅延バッフル部材110を特徴とする。以下により詳細に説明されるように、セメント流動窓108およびバッフル部材110は、コア部材102の周囲領域と比較して、異なるセメント流動透過性領域を提供し、そしてこの異なる透過性は、本発明に従った構造100が、骨内に形成される腔内に注入される場合、セメント流動の方向を制御することを可能にする。実施形態100は、セメント流動窓108およびバッフル部材110の両方を利用するが、本発明に従ったセメント誘導構造はセメント流動窓(単数または複数)のみか、またはバッフル部材(単数または複数)のみのいずれかが使用される場合でも、十分に機能することが企図される。
図17〜図20に示されるように、異なる透過性の領域(つまりセメント流動窓108およびバッフル110)は、構造100が挿入される椎体内へのセメントの流動の方向を効果的に制御する。
Claims (18)
- 骨に成形された空洞内に配置されるように構成された拡張可能な整形外科デバイスであって、
骨セメントに対して少なくとも部分的に透過性である折りたたみ可能な自己拡張多層編み込みメッシュ構造体であって、該多層編み込みメッシュ構造体が、一次部材および二次部材を備える、多層編み込みメッシュ構造体;ならびに
該編み込みメッシュ構造体の少なくとも一部に形成された少なくとも1つのコーティングを備えるバッフルであって、該バッフルは、該編み込みメッシュ構造体の該部分の透過性を低下させるように構成されており、そして該二次部材は、該デバイスの少なくとも1つの領域から除去されて、該二次部材を通る少なくとも1つのセメント流動窓を形成する、バッフル、
を備える、デバイス。 - 前記バッフルが浸漬被覆を備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記バッフルが、前記層状の編み込みメッシュ構造体の外側表面に形成されている、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記一次部材が、前記少なくとも1つのセメント流動窓を覆ったままである、請求項1に記載のデバイス。
- 前記一次部材が、弾性のある、熱硬化性のモノフィラメントワイヤ部材を備える、請求項1に記載のデバイス。

一次部材;
二次部材;および
該編み込みメッシュ構造体の少なくとも一部に形成された少なくとも1つのコーティングを備えるバッフルであって、該バッフルが、該編み込みメッシュ構造体の該部分の透過性を低下させるように構成されており、そして該二次部材が、該デバイスの少なくとも1つの領域から除去されて、該二次部材を通る少なくとも1つのセメント流動窓を形成している、バッフル、
を備える、手段;ならびに
骨セメントを拡張した該編み込みメッシュ構造体に注入するための手段であって、該骨セメントが、主として、該少なくとも1つの流動窓を通って該編み込みメッシュ構造体から流出する、手段、
