Claims (5)
- 燃料と空気とを燃焼させて動力を発生する熱機関と、
前記熱機関から排出される排ガスの熱エネルギーを回収して運動エネルギーに変換する排熱回収手段と、を含み、
前記熱機関の筐体と前記排熱回収手段の筐体とを合体させ、前記熱機関と前記排熱回収手段とを同一の構造体とし、
前記熱機関の出力軸と前記排熱回収手段の出力軸とをそれぞれ別個に設けるとともに、前記熱機関の出力軸と前記排熱回収手段の出力軸とが略平行に配置され、かつ、前記熱機関と前記排熱回収手段とは、前記排熱回収手段の出力軸と直交する方向に配置されて合体され、さらに、
前記熱機関の筐体の内部と前記排熱回収手段の筐体の内部とは、仕切り手段によって仕切られることを特徴とする排熱回収装置。 - 前記熱機関の排気通路の内部であって、前記熱機関が排ガスを排出する排気口と前記排ガスを浄化するための浄化触媒との間に、前記排熱回収手段が備える熱交換器の少なくともヒータを配置することを特徴とする請求項1に記載の排熱回収装置。
- 前記排気口に取り付けられて、前記熱機関が排出する排ガスを前記浄化触媒に導くための排気マニホールド内に、前記排熱回収手段が備える熱交換器の少なくともヒータを配置することを特徴とする請求項2に記載の排熱回収装置。
- 前記排気マニホールドと前記熱交換器の少なくともヒータとを一体として構成することを特徴とする請求項3に記載の排熱回収装置。
- 前記熱機関は車両に搭載される内燃機関であり、また、前記排熱回収手段は前記内燃機関とともに前記車両に搭載されるスターリングエンジンであることを特徴とする請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の排熱回収装置。
