Description
図1は、本発明の実施の形態1によるCDMAシステムを示すブロック図である。CDMAシステムは、送信機1Aおよび受信機2Aより構成され、基地局,移動局それぞれに設けられる。基地局と各移動局とは、CDMA通信方式により無線通信が行われる。
さて、前述した実施の形態1では、圧縮モード時のインタリーブおよびデインタリーブのためにメモリを増強してインタリーブサイズに応じた適切なインタリーブ対象時間を確保するようにしたが、本発明は、これに限定されず、以下に説明する実施の形態2のように、メモリの増強なしに、圧縮モードフレームの送信方法を変えることで適切なインタリーブ対象時間を確保するようにしてもよい。なお、本実施の形態2は全体構成を前述した実施の形態1と同様とするため、以下の説明では、構成および動作について相違する部分についてのみ説明する。また、構成上の符号については、同一構成については同様の符号を付す。
さて、前述した実施の形態1では、圧縮モード時のインタリーブおよびデインタリーブのためにメモリを増強してインタリーブサイズに応じた適切なインタリーブ対象時間を確保するようにしたが、本発明は、これに限定されず、以下に説明する実施の形態3のように、メモリの増強なしに、前述した実施の形態2とは異なる圧縮モードフレームの送信方法で適切なインタリーブ対象時間を確保するようにしてもよい。なお、本実施の形態3は全体構成を前述した実施の形態2と同様とするため、以下の説明では、動作について相違する部分についてのみ説明する。
さて、前述した実施の形態1〜3では、通常モードと圧縮モードのフレームタイミングを変更するようにしていたが、本発明は、これに限定されず、以下に説明する実施の形態4のように、圧縮モードでも通常モードと同じフレームタイミングで間欠送信するようにしてもよい。
さて、前述した実施の形態1〜4では、圧縮モードにおいて情報の欠落なくフレーム伝送するために送信電力を上げるようにしていたが、本発明は、これに限定されず、以下に説明する実施の形態5のように、送信電力量による他ユーザチャネルへの干渉を考慮して送信電力量を決定するようにしてもよい。
さて、前述した実施の形態5では、1フレームについてインタリーブを行うようにしていたが、本発明は、これに限定されず、以下に説明する実施の形態6のように、複数フレームに跨ってインタリーブを行ってインタリーブ時間の短縮を防止するようにしてもよい。なお、実施の形態6は、前述した実施の形態1の如くインタリーバのメモリサイズを増強する点を除けば、前述した実施の形態5と全体構成を同様としており、以下に、動作上の相違についてのみ説明する。
さて、前述した実施の形態1〜6では、圧縮モード時の伝送劣化の防止機能について説明していたが、本発明は、これに限定されず、以下に説明する実施の形態7のように、送信電力制御について送信電力制御量にバリエーションをもたせるようにしてもよい。
さて、前述した実施の形態7では、TPCビットの状態を増加と減少の2種類に限定していたが、本発明は、これに限定されず、以下に説明する実施の形態8のように、送信電力制御についてモード毎に送信電力制御量にバリエーションをもたせるようにしてもよい。なお、実施の形態8は、全体構成を前述した実施の形態7と同様するため、図示およびその説明を省略し、相違する動作についてのみ説明する。以下の説明では、図27で用いた符号を用いて説明する。
さて、前述した実施の形態1〜8では、圧縮モードにおける伝送フォーマットの構成をインタリーブ性能および送信電力制御精度を維持するために構成していたが、本発明は、これに限定されず、以下に説明する実施の形態9のように、使用する拡散符号数を減らすことを考慮して伝送フォーマットを決定してもよい。
さて、前述した実施の形態1〜9では、フレームをスロット化して間欠的に送信する期間を設け、その期間中の無伝送時間、すなわち、アイドル時間を利用して他の周波数キャリアの電力強度を測定する、ということを記述したが、実際の異周波数間ハンドオーバにおける、移動局の基地局への同期確立方法については記述していない。そこで、本発明では、異周波数間ハンドオーバの実現を可能とする通信装置およびその同期確立手順について説明する。

Claims (3)
- 送信電力制御単位で調整された送信電力にしたがって、通常モードでは連続的にフレームを送信し、圧縮モードでは間欠的に圧縮フレームをスロット数単位で送信するCDMAシステムにおける移動通信システムに適用される通信方法であって、
基地局が、移動局に送信電力の増加または減少を指示する送信電力制御情報を送信し、
移動局が、基地局から電力の増加または減少を指示する送信電力制御情報を受信し、前記送信電力制御情報にしたがって、前記通常モードでは1つの電力制御単位で、前記圧縮モードでは前記通常モードにおける前記電力制御単位よりも大きい電力制御単位を少なくとも1つ含んだ複数の電力制御単位で、現送信電力を増加または減少させることによって、前記通常モードおよび前記圧縮モードにおける送信電力を調整し、
前記通常モードでは、前記電力制御単位に調整された送信電力にしたがって連続的にフレームを送信し、
前記圧縮モードでは、フレームに対してビット単位のインタリーブを行い、該インタリーブされたフレームを圧縮して圧縮フレームを生成し、該圧縮フレームを、前記通常モードと同じフレームウインドウの先端を含む第1の部分と後端を含む第2の部分とに分割し、前記分割されたフレームを、前記電力制御単位で調整された送信電力にしたがって間欠的に送信する、
ことを特徴とする通信方法。 - 送信電力制御単位で調整された送信電力にしたがって、通常モードでは連続的に非圧縮フレームを送信し、圧縮モードでは間欠的に圧縮フレームを送信するCDMAシステムにおける移動通信システムに適用される通信方法であって、
移動局が、基地局に送信電力の増加または減少を指示する送信電力制御情報を送信し、
基地局が、移動局から電力の増加または減少を指示する送信電力制御情報を受信し、前記送信電力制御情報にしたがって、前記通常モードでは1つの電力制御単位で、前記圧縮モードでは前記通常モードにおける前記電力制御単位よりも大きい電力制御単位を少なくとも1つ含んだ複数の電力制御単位で、現送信電力を増加または減少させることによって、前記通常モードおよび前記圧縮モードにおける送信電力を調整し、
前記通常モードでは、前記電力制御単位に調整された送信電力にしたがって連続的にフレームを送信し、
前記圧縮モードでは、フレームを圧縮し、圧縮されたフレームにビット単位のインタリーブを行い、圧縮およびインタリーブが行われたフレームを、前記通常モードと同じフレームウインドウの先端を含む第1の部分と後端を含む第2の部分とに分割し、前記分割されたフレームを、前記電力制御単位で調整された送信電力にしたがって間欠的に送信する、
ことを特徴とする通信方法。 - 送信電力制御単位で調整された送信電力にしたがって、通常モードでは連続的に非圧縮フレームを送信し、圧縮モードでは間欠的に圧縮フレームを送信するCDMAシステムの基地局に適用される通信方法であって、
移動局から送信電力の増加または減少を指示する送信電力制御情報を受信し、
前記送信電力制御情報にしたがって、前記通常モードでは1つの電力制御単位で、前記圧縮モードでは前記通常モードにおける前記電力制御単位よりも大きい電力制御単位を少なくとも1つ含んだ複数の電力制御単位で、現送信電力を増加または減少させることによって、前記通常モードおよび前記圧縮モードにおける送信電力を調整し、
前記通常モードでは、前記電力制御単位で調整された送信電力にしたがって連続的にフレームを送信し、
前記圧縮モードでは、フレームを圧縮し、圧縮されたフレームにビット単位のインタリーブを行い、圧縮およびインタリーブが行われたフレームを、前記通常モードと同じフレームウインドウの先端を含む第1の部分と後端を含む第2の部分とに分割し、前記分割されたフレームを、前記電力制御単位に調整された送信電力にしたがって間欠的に送信する、
ことを特徴とする通信方法。
