Description
図1を参照すると、1は機関本体、2は吸気マニホルド、3は排気マニホルド、4は尿素水タンクを夫々示す。排気マニホルド3の出口は酸化触媒5の入口に連結され、酸化触媒5の出口は排気管6を介してNOx選択還元触媒7の入口に連結される。NOx選択還元触媒7上流の排気管6内には尿素水供給弁8が配置される。
図2を参照するとまず初めにステップ40においてイグニッションスイッチ33がオンからオフに切換えられたか否かが判別される。イグニッションスイッチ33がオンのときにはステップ41に進んで尿素水を供給すべき状態であるか否か、即ち尿素水供給条件が成立しているか否かが判別される。尿素水供給条件が成立しているときにはステップ42に進んで尿素水の供給量が算出され、次いでステップ43では尿素水を供給すべく供給ポンプ9が正転せしめられる。

Claims (7)
- NOx選択還元触媒上流の機関排気通路内に配置された尿素水供給弁と、尿素水タンクと、尿素水タンク内に貯留されている尿素水を尿素水供給弁に送り込むための供給ポンプとを具備しており、尿素水供給弁から尿素水を供給すべきときには供給ポンプを正転させて尿素水タンク内の尿素水を尿素水供給弁に送り込むようにした内燃機関の尿素水供給装置において、供給ポンプから尿素水供給弁まで延びる尿素水送給通路の尿素水供給弁側の端部に、尿素水タンク内で発生したアンモニアガスを送り込むためのアンモニアガス送給管を接続し、尿素水供給弁からの尿素水の供給停止時に供給ポンプを逆転させて尿素水タンク内で発生したアンモニアガスをアンモニアガス送給管を介して尿素水送給通路内に引き込み、供給ポンプを正転させたときに尿素水送給通路内に引き込まれたアンモニアガスを尿素水供給弁から噴出させるようにした内燃機関の尿素水供給装置。
- 上記アンモニアガス送給管が尿素水タンク内の上部空間に接続されている請求項1に記載の内燃機関の尿素水供給装置。
- 尿素水タンク内で発生したアンモニアガスを貯留しておくためのアンモニアガス貯留タンクを具備しており、上記アンモニアガス送給管が該アンモニアガス貯留タンクに接続されている請求項1に記載の内燃機関の尿素水供給装置。
- 尿素水タンク内で発生したアンモニアガスを吸着するためのアンモニア吸着剤を内蔵したアンモニア吸着装置を具備しており、上記アンモニアガス送給管が該アンモニア吸着装置に接続されており、供給ポンプが逆転せしめられたときにアンモニア吸着剤から脱離したアンモニアがアンモニアガス送給管を介して尿素水送給通路内に送り込まれる請求項1に記載の内燃機関の尿素水供給装置。
- アンモニア吸着剤を加熱するためのヒータを具備しており、アンモニア吸着剤からアンモニアを脱離すべきときにはヒータによりアンモニア吸着剤が加熱される請求項4に記載の内燃機関の尿素水供給装置。
- アンモニアガス送給管内に供給ポンプが逆転せしめられたときに開弁する弁が配置されている請求項1に記載の内燃機関の尿素水供給装置。
- 機関始動時において尿素水供給弁が最初に開弁せしめられたときには尿素水供給弁からアンモニアガスが噴出せしめられる請求項1に記載の内燃機関の尿素水供給装置。
