本願の請求項に示した発明は次に記載した米国仮出願または非仮出願の米国特許出願にかかる発明をさらに改良するものである。また、これら特許出願を記載することで同特許出願にかかる文書の各々に記載された技術内容を本願明細書における従来技術の記述の一部とするものである。

[発明の分野]
今日採用される医学的処方においては、必要とされる血液試料の量が3〜50ml程度といった比較的少ない量である場合が多い。この様な試料が採血担当者が静脈から採血するのでなく、指のような特定の部位の皮膚をランシングするとか皮膚に針をさすとかにより採取可能な1〜2滴の量の血液ですますことが出来れば、患者にとって費用の面からのみならず加えられる傷の程度の点からもより有利である。血液中のグルコース濃度を自身でモニターするといったように自宅における血液検査が実行できるようになったことをきっかけとして、どのような環境にいようと、検査を必要とする個人自らが実行できるような簡便な手段が求められるようになってきている。
以上述べた本願発明の目的にとどまらずそれら以外の本願発明の目的をも含めた種々の目的を本願発明は達成するものである。本願発明の一局面にあっては、本発明は試料血液を採取する方法に関するものであり、少なくとも次の工程を含むものである。収納ケースの前端を皮膚表面に当て、中空部を持つ形状の切開用刃先を前記皮膚表面に突きさすように押出し開口部をつくり、そして同開口部の周囲を広げる方向に同開口部まわりを押しつけ、体液が同開口部の周囲から押し集められ同開口部から押し出されるようにする。これと同時に前記切開用刃先を同開口部内で動かし同開口部が閉じてしまうのを防ぐようにする。この間、前記体液が前記開口部に集まり易いように当該皮膚表面を真空に引いて(減圧状態にすること)も良い。さらには同開口部に集まった体液を同切開用刃先から同切開用刃先に接続したチューブの中に採集するために同切開用刃先の中空部を真空に引いて(減圧状態にすること)も良い。
Claims (6)
- 皮膚面の切開開口部から体液を採取するための携帯型器具であって、
開口部が存在する位置の周りの皮膚に接面するように配置できる先端面を持つ本体と、
当該本体の先端面を真空に引くための当該本体と一体化された吸引手段と、
前記本体に接続され、前記皮膚面から離れて位置する第一の場所と前記皮膚面に形成された切開開口部がある箇所の皮膚内部である第二の場所とのあいだを移動できる切開用部品と、
前記開口部から体液を採取するために配置される液体採取用部品と
を有し、
前記皮膚面に前記切開用部品が接触する前に、前記吸引手段が前記本体の先端面を真空に引き、
前記皮膚に前記切開用部品が接触する前の段階で、前記吸引手段は真空に引かれた状態を解放する
ことを特徴とする携帯用器具。 - 前記皮膚に前記切開用部品が接触した後の段階で、前記吸引手段は真空に引くことを特徴とする請求項1記載の携帯用器具。
- 前記吸引手段は一旦前記のとおり真空に引き、続いて真空に引かれた状態を解放することを特徴とする請求項1記載の携帯用器具。
- 前記吸引手段が前記液体採取用部品を真空に引くことを特徴とする請求項1記載の携帯用器具。
- 前記本体がさらに試験用部品を有し、前記液体採取用部品が採取した液体を前記試験用部品上に送出することを特徴とする請求項1記載の携帯用器具。
- 前記切開用部品が中空を有することを特徴とする請求項1記載の携帯用器具。
