Claims (3)
- 移動原稿読取領域を形成する第1プラテン板と、
静止原稿読取領域を形成する第2プラテン板と、
上記第1プラテン板及び上記第2プラテン板間に介設される仕切り部材と、
上記第1プラテン板及び上記第2プラテン板上の原稿からの反射光に基づいて該原稿の画像を読み取る画像読取ユニットと、
上記第1プラテン板及び上記第2プラテン板の下面から所定距離を隔てた状態を維持しつつ上記画像読取ユニットを上下可動に支持し、かつ、上記画像読取ユニットとともに上記第1プラテン板及び上記第2プラテン板の下面に沿って往復動するキャリッジと、を具備し、
上記第2プラテン板は、上記仕切り部材側の端部が支持されておらず、上記第2プラテン板の上記静止原稿読取領域に下方への荷重が加えられたときに当該端部が上記仕切り部材に対して下方へ突出されて段差部を形成するように撓み、
上記画像読取ユニットは、上記キャリッジの上記第1プラテン板側から上記第2プラテン板側への移動過程において上記段差部に当接することにより上記画像読取ユニットを下方へ移動させるとともに上記段差部を乗り越えて上記第2プラテン板の下面に案内する案内手段を有し、
上記案内手段は、上記画像読取ユニットの筐体と一体に形成された傾斜面であり、
上記傾斜面は、上記第1プラテン板及び上記第2プラテン板に対向する上記画像読取ユニットの対向面における上記第2プラテン板側の角部に設けられており、上記対向面上の傾斜基点から上記第2プラテン板側の端部に近づくにつれて上記第2プラテン板の下面から離反する方向に傾斜している画像読取装置。 - 上記傾斜面は、摺動性の高い材質で構成されている請求項1に記載の画像読取装置。
- 上記案内手段は、上記画像読取ユニットの長手方向の略中央部に設けられている請求項1又は2に記載の画像読取装置。
