Claims (4)
- 異なる順番で連続再生できるように、記憶手段の所定の入出力レートおよび容量に基づき算出された長さ以上をそれぞれ有する複数のブロックが記録された記録媒体を再生する記録媒体再生装置において、
前記記録媒体に記録されているデータを再生する再生手段と、
前記再生手段により再生され、所定の入力レートで入力されるデータを記憶し、前記入力レートより小さい所定の出力レートで出力する記憶手段と、
前記再生手段を所定の位置にジャンプさせる制御手段と
を備え、
前記記憶手段は、少なくとも、前記再生手段のジャンプに要する時間と、前記データの誤りを訂正する処理単位に対応するデータの待ち時間の和に対応する容量以上の容量を有する
ことを特徴とする記録媒体再生装置。 - 前記記憶手段の容量は、前記再生手段のジャンプに要する時間と前記データの誤りを訂正する処理単位に対応するデータの待ち時間の和と、出力レートとの積以上の容量である
ことを特徴とする請求項1に記載の記録媒体再生装置。 - 前記記憶手段の容量は、前記再生手段のジャンプに要する時間と前記データの誤りを訂正する処理単位に対応するデータの待ち時間の和と出力レートとの積と、前記出力レートとジャンプ時における前記記録媒体の回転待ち時間の最大値との積との、和以上の容量である
ことを特徴とする請求項2に記載の記録媒体再生装置。 - 異なる順番で連続再生できるように、バッファメモリの所定の入出力レートおよび容量に基づき算出された長さ以上をそれぞれ有する複数のブロックが記録された記録媒体を再生する記録媒体再生方法において、
前記記録媒体に記録されているデータをピックアップで再生するステップと、
前記記録媒体から再生され、所定の入力レートで入力されるデータを、少なくとも、前記ピックアップのジャンプに要する時間と、前記データの誤りを訂正する処理単位に対応するデータの待ち時間の和に対応する容量以上の容量を有するバッファメモリに一旦記憶するステップと、
前記バッファメモリに記憶されたデータを、前記入力レートより小さい所定の出力レートで出力するステップと
を備えることを特徴とする記録媒体再生方法。
