Description
Claims (5)
- Mn+1AzXn(ここでnは0.8〜3.2の範囲内の数値、zは0.8〜1.2の範囲内の数値、MはTi(チタン)、Sc(スカンジウム)、V(バナジウム)、Cr(クロム)、Zr(ジルコニウム)、Nb(ニオビウム)およびTa(タンタル)から成る群より選択された少なくとも1種の金属、XはC(炭素)およびN(窒素)から成る群より選択された少なくとも1種の非金属、そしてAは最終的な所望の化合物がMn+1AzXnで表される複数の成分を含有するための化学元素Si(ケイ素)、Al(アルミニウム)およびSn(錫)から成る群より選択された少なくとも1種の化学元素あるいは該化学元素による化合物である)で表される単一相組成物をSHS(Self-propagating High Temperature Synthesis:燃焼合成、自己生長高温合成)の手段による製造する方法において、該金属および非金属ならびに該化学元素あるいは該化学元素による該化合物から粉体混合物を形成する工程;ヒートシンクとして機能させる予備反応状態のMn+1AzXnで表される所望の前記化合物を追加する工程;およびそれにより該成分を反応させるために解離の促進を妨げるように該粉体混合物を不活性雰囲気内で着火する工程:を包含し、反応温度を、該成分が反応する温度以上ではあるが該単一相組成物が解離する温度未満に維持することを特徴とする、前記製造法。
- nが1、2あるいは3のいずれかであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記単一相物質がTi3SiC2であることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 前記単一相物質がTi2AlCあるいはTi2SnCであることを特徴とする請求項1記載の方法。
- 25重量%の予備反応状態の物質をヒートシンクとして使用することを特徴とする請求項1、2、3あるいは4記載の方法。
