般に、固定領域24と走査ヘッド22によって規定される可動領域とを有する。好ましい実施例に従うと、固定領域24内で、レーザ11は励起波長でビーム30を放射する。励起ビーム30は視準され、ビーム拡大器14を通過することによって任意に拡大される。視準された白色光源もまた、励起のために用いられ得る。ダイクロイックビームスプリッタのようなスペクトル分散装置16が励起ビーム30の経路内に置かれる。励起ビーム30はスペクトル分散装置16から変化し、次に、好ましい実施例では入射励起ビーム30に対して約45°の角度で方向づけられているリフレクタ15に衝突する。次に、励起ビーム30は直角方向に偏向され、図2の固定した領域24から離れ、リフレクタ13に衝突することによって走査ヘッド22に入る。リフレクタ13もまた入射励起ビーム30に対して好ましくは約45°の角度で置かれている。次に、励起ビーム30はリフレクタ13によって直角方向に偏向される。一般に励起ビーム30よりも1ないし20倍大きい有効口径を有するレンズ12は、励起ビーム30を受け、それを像面10上に焦点合わせするように、その軸が像面10に直交する状態で位置決めされる。

Claims (8)
- 像面におけるサンプルを走査する方法であって、
a)第1のスペクトル特性を有する視準された照射光ビームを走査ヘッドに向けるステップと、
b)前記照射光を、前記走査ヘッド上に配置されるリフレクタを用いて、サンプル関し一定の角度で反射させるステップと、
c)反射された照射光を、前記走査ヘッド上のレンズを用いて、前記サンプル上に焦点を合せるステップと、
d)第2のスペクトル特性を有する光を、前記サンプルから、前記走査ヘッド上の前記レンズを用いて集光するステップと、
e)前記集光された光を、前記走査ヘッド上に配置される前記リフレクタにより、検出器に向けるステップと、
f)前記走査ヘッドをガイドの長手方向に沿って高速に往復摺動させることにより、前記視準照明光ビームの走査線を像面において発生させるステップとを含む、方法。 - ステップf)は走査ヘッドを3〜25Hzの走査速度で往復摺動させることを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- ステップf)は、リニアアクチュエータを用いることにより走査ヘッドを高速で往復摺動させることを達成することを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記リニアアクチュエータは開ループモードにおいて動作する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記リニアアクチュエータは閉ループモードにおいて動作する、請求項3に記載の方法。
- 前記視準照明光ビームの走査を生じさせるステップは視準照明光ビームを像面に直交する方向で走査におけるすべての点において衝突させることにより実行される、請求項1に記載の方法。
- サンプルを、像面において、走査線の方向に直交する方向に並進運動させ、したがって、照射ビームの連続的な走査が像面において二次元を順次覆うようにすることをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1のスペクトル特性を有する光を、第2のスペクトル特性を有する光から、走査中に分離することをさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
