【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 この発明は、包装機械、詳しくは包装材料としてウェ
ッブを用い、ウェッブをチューブに成形してこれに内容
物を充填し、内容物充填チューブを容器1つ分に相当す
る長さ毎に分割してこれを最終的に直方体状容器とする
包装機械に関する。
従来の技術 ウェッブとして、無菌充填の包装機械ではアルミニウ
ム箔を含む紙主体積層体が用いられるが、アルミニウム
箔を含む紙主体積層体は高価であるため、無菌充填でな
い包装機械ではアルミニウム箔の無い紙主体積層体が用
いられる。
アルミニウム箔の無い紙主体積層体製ウェッブが用い
られる包装機械としては、ウェッブを垂直状チューブに
成形するチューブ成形装置、チューブに内容物を充填す
る充填装置および内容物充填チューブを袋状容器に成形
する容器成形装置が上から順次配置され、容器成形装置
が、内容物充填チューブを容器1つ分に相当する長さ毎
に挟み付けて所要幅をシールしかつシール幅の中間部を
切断するジョーを有しており、ジヨーに、ヒートシール
用ヒータが備わっており、ヒータが加熱盤であるものが
知られている。
発明が解決しようとする課題 従来の包装機械では、ヒータが加熱盤であるため、加
熱盤の温度管理を充分に行わないとシール部が溶解しす
ぎたり、溶解が不十分だったりして、シールが確実に行
われない恐れがあり、またシール部を積層体の外側から
加熱することになるため、加熱時間がかなり掛かるとい
う問題点があった。
この発明の目的は、上記問題点を解決し、シールを短
時間で確実に行うことのできる包装機械を提供すること
にある。
課題を解決するための手段 この発明による包装機械は、上記従来の包装機械にお
いて、チューブ成形装置より上流のウェッブ移動経路上
に、ウェッブのヒートシールされるべき部分に周波数誘
導加熱用アルミニウム箔テープを張付ける張付け装置が
配置され、ヒータが高周波コイルであることを特徴とす
るものである。
作 用 この発明による包装機械では、チューブ成形装置より
上流のウェッブ移動経路上に、ウェッブのシールされる
べき部分に高周波誘導加熱用アルミニウム箔テープを張
付ける張付け装置が配置されているから、張付け装置で
ウェッブのヒートシールされるべき部分に高周波誘導加
熱用アルミニウム箔テープが張付られる。
ヒータが高周波コイルであるから、シールに際し、高
周波コイルでアルミニウム箔が加熱され、その加熱温度
は高周波コイルに流される電流の強さによってコントロ
ールされる。
実 施 例 この発明の実施例を図面を参照して次に説明する。
包装機械に用いられるウェッブWは、図示しないが、
紙層の両面に熱可塑性合成樹脂層が形成された紙主体積
層体製であり、積層体にアルミニウム箔は含まれていな
い。
包装機械は、第1図に示すように、ウェッブ巻き戻し
装置11を備えている。巻き戻し装置11で巻戻されたウェ
ッブWは、適所に配されたガイドローラに巻掛けられ
て、一旦上向きに導かれた後、右向きに導かれ、最終的
に下向きに導かれている。
ウェッブWの下向き移動経路にそって、ウェッブWを
チューブTに成形するチューブ成形装置12、チューブT
に内容物を充填する充填装置13および内容物充填チュー
ブTを袋状容器C1に成形する第1容器成形装置14が上か
ら順次配置されている。第1容器成形装置14の下方に
は、そこを搬送経路の始端として右向きにのびた容器搬
送コンベヤ15が配置されるとともに、その搬送経路にそ
って、袋状容器C1を最終的に直方体状容器C2に成形する
ための第2容器成形装置16が配置されている。これらの
各装置11〜16は、いずれもよく知られており(例えば実
開昭61−93010号公報参照)、詳しい説明は省略する
が、第1容器成形装置14についてだけ簡単に説明する
と、第1容器成形装置14は、内容物充填チューブTを容
器1つ分に相当する長さ毎に挟み付けて所要幅をシール
しかつシール幅の中間部を切断するジョー17を有してい
る。ジョー17には、詳しく図示しないが、ヒートシール
用ヒータ18である高周波コイルが備わっている。
巻き戻し装置11からチューブ成形装置12までのウェッ
ブの右向き移動経路の左寄りのところには、テープ張付
け装置21が配置されている。テープ張付け装置21より上
流および下流のウェッブ移動経路には間欠駆動ピンチロ
ーラ22,23がそれぞれ配置されており、下流側ピンチロ
ーラ23のすぐ上流に配置されたマーク検出器24でウェッ
ブWに付けられたマークを検出し、マーク検出器24の出
力信号に基づいて、間欠駆動ピンチローラ22,23がそれ
ぞれ駆動されることにより、テープ張付け装置21のとこ
ろをウェッブWが容器1つ分に相当するピッチで間欠的
に通過するようになっている。下流側ピンチローラ23の
下流には連続駆動ピンチローラ25が配置され、下流側ピ
ンチローラ24と連続駆動ピンチローラ25の間に垂れ下が
ったU字状のウェッブWにダンサローラ26が掛けられて
いる。連続駆動ピンチローラ25より下流の2つのガイド
ローラの間に垂れ下がったU字状のウェッブWにもダン
サローラ27が掛けられている。また、上流側間欠駆動ピ
ンチローラ22とこれの上流に配されたガイドローラとの
間に垂れ下がったU字状のウェッブWにもダンサローラ
28が掛けられている。
テープ張付け装置21は、コイル状に巻かれたアルミニ
ウム箔Fを支持しているリワインダ31と、リワインダ31
から巻戻されたアルミニウム箔Fを、ウェッブWに張付
けられるテープSの幅に等しい長さずつ間欠的に送るフ
ィードロール32と、フィードロール32から送られてくる
アルミニウム箔Fをその間欠送りに等しい長さ毎に切断
してテープSとしてウェッブWの上に落下させるカッタ
33と、ウェッブWの上に落下したテープSをウェッブW
に加熱圧着する受台34および昇降加熱押圧盤35とよりな
る。
アルミニウム箔Fの厚みは10μmであり、その両面に
厚み30μmのポリエチレンが被覆されている。
第2図に、ウェッブWにテープSが張付けられた状態
が示されている。隣り合う2つのテープSの間隔Pは容
器1つ分の長さに相当する。テープSは、ウェッブWの
幅方向中央部に位置しかつウェッブWがチューブTに成
形される際に重ね合わされる長さlだけウェッブWの幅
Lから減じた長さの丁度半分の長さを有している(第3
図参照)。すなわち、M=(L−l)/2である。また、
テープSの幅Nはその長さMの一割程度である。チュー
ブTに成形されたウェッブWがシールされる際は、第3
図に示すように、ウェッブWのシールすべき部分にテー
プSが一重の状態で介在されることになる。
発明の効果 この発明によれば、張付け装置でウェッブのシールさ
れるべき部分に高周波誘導加熱用アルミニウム箔テープ
が張付られ、シールに際し、高周波コイルでアルミニウ
ム箔が加熱され、その加熱温度は高周波コイルに流され
る電流の強さによってコントロールされるから、冒頭で
説明した加熱盤による場合と比較して、ウェッブを短時
間でしかも確実にシールを行うことができる。

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項1】紙層の両面に熱可塑性合成樹脂層が形成さ
    れている紙主体積層体製ウェッブWを垂直状チューブT
    に成形するチューブ成形装置12、チューブTに内容物を
    充填する充填装置13および内容物充填チューブTを袋状
    容器C1に成形する容器成形装置14が上から順次配置さ
    れ、容器成形装置14が、内容物充填チューブTを容器1
    つ分に相当する長さ毎に挟み付けて所要幅をヒートシー
    ルしかつシール幅の中間部を切断するジョー17を有して
    おり、ジョー17に、ヒートシール用ヒータ18が備わって
    いる包装機械において、 チューブ成形装置12より上流のウェッブ移動経路上に、
    ウェッブWのヒートシールされるべき部分に高周波誘導
    加熱用アルミニウム箔テープSを張付ける張付け装置21
    が配置され、ヒータ18が高周波コイルであることを特徴
    とする包装機械。
