Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 産業上の利用分野 本発明は、患者の組織に機械的外科ファスナを移植す
るための外科ステープラに関し、そして特に、加圧ガス
によって動力を与えられる外科ステープラに関する。
従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする問題点 加圧ガスの力を使用して、外科ファスナを移植する外
科ステープラが、技術において公知であり、そして特
に、米国特許第３、837、555号、３、836、116号、３、
815、476号、第３、717、294号、第３、662、939号、第
３、643、851号、第３、618、824号、第３、613、507
号、第４、407、432号、第４、439、028号、及び第４、
331、277号において記載される。これらの特許に示され
た器具において、加圧のガスのシリンダーが、器具のハ
ンドルに包含される。シリンダーからのガスは、ハンド
ルの後部にある動力ユニットに導かれ、この場合加圧ガ
スが、機械圧リンク機構配置の近位端部に適用される。
機械的リンク機構は、器具の遠位端部におけるステープ
ル・カートリッジに結合される。ハンドルにおけるトリ
ガーが押下される時、加圧ガスは、遠位のカートリッジ
からステープルを移植するために、機械的リンク機構を
作動させる。
上記の特許において示される器具の総ては、器具の各
作動において、単一ステープルを交付する。米国特許第
４、527、724号において示された直線ステープラによっ
て行われる如く、空気圧ステープラは、器具の各作動に
おいて幾つかのステープルを移植することが望ましい。
本発明の器具は、器具の各作動において２行のステープ
ルを移植することができる。
上記の特許の外科ステープル器具は、総て剛性構造で
あり、器具の使用を単一構成に制限する。米国特許第
４、728、020号において示された如く、使用者が、ステ
ープル器具の多様なセクションを、互いに関して回転か
つ旋回できることが望ましい。本特許において示された
器具において、ファスナ適用アセンブリ、即ちステープ
ラ・ヘッドは、器具のシャフト・アセンブリの軸のいづ
れの側にも約180度揺れることができ、そしてステープ
ラ・ヘッドはまた、シャフトの軸の回りで約300度の弧
により回転可能である。そのような回転により、器具
は、より容易な外科使用のために操作でき、そして困難
な外科位置に接近できる。
そのような旋回と回転のために、空気圧により動力を
与えられた直線ステープル器具を適合させる時、加圧ガ
ス力がステープラ・ヘッドに送り出される方法が、考察
されなければならない。中間の機械的リンク機構の多数
の部品と複雑さを除去するために、加圧ガスを直接にス
テープラ・ヘッドに送り出すことが好ましい。これは、
器具の回転及び旋回接合部を複雑にするが、接合部は、
ガス送り出しシステムの保全性を維持しながら、所望の
移動が可能でなければならない。特に、２つの分離した
源の加圧ガスをステープラ・ヘッドに送り出すことが、
望ましい。１つは、ステープルされる組織に対してステ
ープラ・ヘッドを締結するためのもの、そして２番目
は、ステープルを組織に押しやるための手段を作動させ
るためである。こうして、器具における可動接合部は、
所望範囲の移動を示し、そして２つのガス送り出し管路
の保全性を保存する方法により機能することが、望まし
い。
問題点を解決するための手段 本発明の原理により、空気圧作動ステープル器具が提
供され、所与の軸の回りの回転が可能な少なくとも１つ
のコクネタを含む。回転可能なコネクタは、ステープラ
・ヘッドにおける１つの利用手段への加圧ガスの送り出
しのために、コネクタを通って延びた第１共軸通路を含
む。コネクタはまた、ステープラ・ヘッドにおける第２
利用手段への加圧ガスの送り出しのために、該第１通路
を放射状に取り囲む第２通路を含む。本発明のコネクタ
の使用は、コネクタを通過する２つのガス管路の保全性
を保存しながら、器具の２つの結合部分を互いに関して
移動することを可能にする。コネクタは、関節付き空気
圧外科ステープル器具において特に有益であり、ステー
プラ・ヘッドにおいて組織を締め付けるための加圧ガス
の第１源と、締め付けられた組織をステープルで留める
ための加圧ガスの第２源とを必要とする。
実施例 最初に、第１図を参照すると、本発明の空気圧作動外
科ステープラが、示される。ステープラは、３つの所要
構成要素を含む。ハンドル部分10、シャフト部分108、
及びステープラ・ヘッド110である。３つの構成要素
は、空気圧急速分離継ぎ手によって相互連結点において
接合され、急速継ぎ手は、構成要素を脱着させ、かつ他
の構成のシャフトとステープラ・ヘッドと交換可能にす
る。また、接合部20と22に、本発明の空気圧回転可能コ
ネクタが位置する。回転可能コネクタは、矢印24と26に
よって示された如く、互いに関したステープラの主要構
成要素の自由回転を許容する。特に、シャフト108は、
矢印24によって示された如く、接合部20における軸の回
りで自由に完全に回転する。ステープラ・ヘッド110
は、矢印26によって示された如く、シャフト108の軸に
垂直な軸の回りで200度を超えて自由に回転する。
加圧ガスのシリンダーは、キャップ16を除去し、かつ
シリンダーをハンドルに挿入することにより、ハンドル
10の下方部分12に挿入される。一旦シリンダーが挿入さ
れ、かつキャップ16が締められたならば、シリンダーか
らのガスが、解放され、そしてハンドルにおける圧力調
整器に流動する。シリンダーからのガスの解放は、ステ
ープラの活動準備を整え、そしてハンドルの後部から短
い距離だけボタン25を延びさせ、ステープラが加圧され
ていることを使用者に指示する。
ステープル手順の第１段階は、ステープラ・ヘッド11
0のあごの間でステープルで留められる組織を締め付け
ることである。組織は、あごの間に位置し、そしてステ
ープラの後部から延びるスライド74が押下される。スラ
イドが前方に押される時、加圧ガスが、第１ガス管路を
通ってステープラ・ヘッドに流動することを許容され、
ステープラ・ヘッドのあごの間で組織を締め付ける。ス
ライド74が解放されるとすぐに、それは、バネ力によ
り、図示された延びた位置に滑って戻る。締め付けの後
のステープラ・ヘッドの後方部分の位置は、第１図にお
いて110′において仮線で示される。
それからカートリッジ112におけるステープルが、ハ
ンドルのトリガー84を押下することにより、締め付けら
れた組織を通って押しやられる。しかし、トリガーが押
下される前に、トリガー安全装置78が、第１図に示され
た位置からスロット80において上方に移動され、かつス
ロット80の前方拡張部分82へ回転されなければならな
い。この安全機構は、使用者が実施準備の前にステープ
ルの不注意の配置を防止する。トリガー安全装置78が上
方に移動され、かつ前方に回転された後、トリガーが押
下され、ステープラ・ヘッド110におけるアンビル114に
対してステープルの脚を折り返すか、又はアンビルの位
置にある結合ステープル受け器とステープルの脚を連結
するかのいづれかにより、組織においてステープルを移
植する。トリガー84が押下される時、トリガー安全装置
は、より垂直位置に回転され、そしてバネ力によってス
ロット80において下方に滑動する。
第２図は、シャフト108とステープラ・ヘッド110の部
分的な断面図である。ステープラ・ヘッドは、可動締め
付け及びステープル機構において複数のステープル202
を保持するあご200を含む。あご200の反対側に、定置し
た対向あご204がある。ステープル機構に対向する定置
あごの面は、あごの間の組織を通過する金属ステープル
の脚を折り返す又は曲げるアンビルを具備する。代替的
に、ステープルが吸収性ポリマー材料から形成される
時、定置あごは、ポリマー・ステープルの脚に嵌合しか
つ保持する受け器のカートリッジを保持する。そのよう
なポリマー・ステープルと受け器は、1987年11月５日提
出された米国特許出願第117、592号において記載され
る。
ステープル202は、あご200におけるステープル・カー
トリッジ112に形成されたポケットに位置し、ステープ
ルの脚は、定置あご204の方を向く。ステープル・カー
トリッジ112の後に、ステープル・プッシャー210があ
る。ステープル・プッシャーは、ステープル・カートリ
ッジにおけるそれぞれのステープルのクラウンの方を向
く指状物212を有する。ステープル・プッシャー210の後
に、駆動ピストン214がある。駆動ピストンは、締め付
けピストン220の内側に位置し、そして２つの周囲Ｏリ
ング216と218によって、空気式に密封される。締め付け
ピストン220は、ピストン・ハウジング230の内側に位置
する。締め付けピストン220は、２つの周囲Ｏリング222
と224によって、ピストン・ハウジングの内側で空気式
に密封される。後者の２つのＯリングの間に、締め付け
ピストンを通過するポート226と228がある。これらのポ
ートは、対称的に位置し、その結果締め付けピストン
は、底部のいづれかの端部によりピストン・ハウジング
に挿入される。
ピストン・ハウジングの後部に、通路232が位置す
る。この通路は、気送管セグメント34によって直角コネ
クタ150に結合される。ピストン・ハウジングの前部に
向かって、第２通路236がある。この通路は、管セグメ
ント36によってユニオン継ぎ手150に結合される。
ステープラ・ヘッド110の下方左に、ステープラのシ
ャフト部分108がある。シャフト108は、気送管の２つの
セクション30と32を含む。シャフト部分における管は、
急速分離継ぎ手によって直角コネクタ150の２つの入り
口ポート（一方が54で示される）の急速分離継ぎ手に結
合され、一方が106で示される。ハンドル10に結合され
るシャフト108の後部末端に、平行空気コネクタ120があ
る。空気コネクタ120は、空気スナップ継ぎ手によって
ハントルに除去可能に結合され、空気スナップ継ぎ手の
１つは、43で示される。気送管30、32は、コネクタ120
の２つの出口ポート206に結合される。
ステープルて留められる組織が、あご200と204の間に
位置し、かつあごの間で組織を締め付けることが望まれ
る時、スライド72が押下され、そして加圧ガスが、ハン
ドルからコネクタ120へと流れる。加圧ガスは、シャフ
ト部分108における管セクション30と、直角ユニオン継
ぎ手150の通路を通って運ばれる。加圧ガスは、管セグ
メント34と通路232を通って、締め付けピストン220の後
部に通過する。そこでガスは、締め付けピストンとピス
トン・ハウジングの間の中間面240に押しやられ、この
場合それは、締め付けピストンを前方に定置あごの方に
膨張させかつ押す。締め付けピストンが移動する時、そ
れは、駆動ピストン、ステープル・プッシャー、及びス
テープル・カートリッジを一緒に保持する。これは、ス
テープル・カートリッジと定置あご204の間の組織を締
め付ける。この時、締め付けピストン220は、前方通路2
36が、締め付けピストンのポート228に対向する如く、
ハウジング230における位置にある。
組織があごの間に確実に締め付けられると、使用者
は、トリガー安全装置を移動かつ回転させ、そしてステ
ープルを移植するために、トリガーを引っ張る。加圧ガ
スは、コネクタ120、気送管32、コネクタ150、及び管セ
グメント36を通って、通路236に流れる。それから、加
圧ガスは、締め付けピストンにおけるポート228を通っ
て、駆動ピストンの後部における空間242に流動する。
この空間における膨張ガスは、駆動ピストン214を前方
にステープル・プッシャー214の後部に対して押し、こ
れにより一様な圧力が、プッシャーとその指状物に適用
される。それから、指状物は、ステープル・カートリッ
ジのポケットから、組織を通って、そしてアンビルに対
して又は定置あごの受け器にステープルを駆動する。ト
リガーが解放される時、駆動ピストンと締め付けピスト
ンへの加圧ガスは、ハンドルにより排出され、ステーブ
ルで留められた組織からあご200を解放する。
第２図の配置は、「真空圧作動外科ステープラ・ヘッ
ド」と題する同時提出された米国特許出願第（ETH−74
1）号においてさらに十分に記載される。
ハンドル部分10において発生した加圧ガスは、気送管
30と32と、接合20と22とを通って、ステープラ・ヘド11
0における締め付け及びステープル機構に導かれ、接合
部20と22は、第１図と第２図に示された如く、交換可能
なシャフト部分108により、ステープラのハンドル部分
をステープラ・ヘッドに結合する。シャフト部分は、多
くの空気式器具に見られるものに類似した急速分離スナ
ップ固定継ぎ手と、回転コネクタ120と150とにより、ハ
ンドル部分とステープラ・ヘッドに結合される。回転す
る２経路コネクタは、加圧ガス管路の保全性を維持しな
がら、ステープラ・ヘッドとシャフト部分をハンドル部
分に関して回転可能にする。
ハンドルとシャフトの接合部20における平行コネクタ
120は、第3a図において斜視図で、そして第3b図におい
て断面図で示される。第3b図の平行コネクタ120は、入
り口ポート124と126を有する成型された片割れ122を含
む。入り口ポートには、雌急速分離継ぎ手43と46が付着
される。ポート124は、コネクタの中心において通路127
につながり、そしてポート126は、コネクタの中心から
オフセットされた通路127につながる。通路129は、第3b
図の平面に垂直な平面に位置する円形通路130に交差す
る。円形通路130の反対側より取られた断面図が、第3b
図に示される。
平行コネクタ120は、通路127と131に結合する出口ポ
ート134と136を有する第２成型片割れ132を含む。これ
らの出口ポートには、雄急速分離継ぎ手34と36が付着さ
れる。２つの片割れ122と132は、圧縮継ぎ手140によっ
て一緒に保持される。２つの片割れの中間面において、
断面で示された２つのＯリング12と144がある。圧縮継
ぎ手は、Ｏリング密封空気通路の保全性を維持するため
に十分に緊密であるが、２つの片割れを互いに関して回
転させるために、中間面で十分に緩い。小Ｏリング142
は、Ｏリングの内側の中心通路127を密封し、そして中
心通路を外側円形通路130から分離する。大Ｏリング144
は、円形通路130の外側周囲を密封する。
平行コネクタの２つの片割れが、ステープラの部分の
回転により回転される時、成型コネクタの片割れは、入
り口ポート124を出口ポート134に結合する中心通路127
の回りで回転する。通路131と129が、第3b図において整
合して示されるが、この整合は、コネクタ片割れが回転
される時、もはや発生しない。代わりに、通路131と129
は、結合された円形通路130の弧において、コネクタの
中心の回りで回転する。こうして、入り口ポート126か
ら出口ポート136への空気経路は、通路129、円形通路13
0の弓形セクション、及び通路131を具備する。これによ
り、コネクタは、空気管路の分離と保全性を維持しなが
ら、ステープラの部分の相対回転を許容する。
雌急速分離継ぎ手43と46は、各々、嵌合雄継ぎ手を連
結するフレア外側端部44と47を有することが見られる。
継ぎ手43と46の付着端部は、45と49で示された如く、直
径において狭まり、嵌合継ぎ手を密封により連結する。
雄継ぎ手34と36は、同一構成であり、フレア端部33と38
は、それぞれのポート134と136に付着される。雄継ぎ手
の狭直径部分は、密封Ｏリング35と37を連結する。雄及
び雌継ぎ手が連結される時、空気密封が、雌継ぎ手の狭
直径部分45と49内のＯリング35と37の圧縮により、提供
される。こうして、継ぎ手は、ステープラ・システムの
いろいろな部品が交換される時、容易に結合及び脱着さ
れながら、確実な空気シールを維持する。継ぎ手は、第
２図の54と106で示された如く、互いとの連結に適し、
そしてまた、脱着が必要とされない時、第２図の206で
示された如く、管セグメントに直接に結合される。
第２図のシャフト部分とステープラ・ヘッドの接合部
22において使用された如く、直角コネクタ150は、第4a
図において斜視図で、そして第4b図と第4c図において断
面図で示される。平行コネクタ120と同様に、直角コネ
クタ150は、急速分離継ぎ手52と54を含む入り口ポート1
52と154、及び急速分離継ぎ手62と64を含む出口ポート1
62と164を含む。中央通路156は、入り口ポート152を出
口ポート162に結合し、そして円形通路158は、通路166
と168により、入り口ポート154を出口ポート164に結合

部品の各々の該空気管路部分とを具備し、各完成空気管
路は、他方の嵌合部品に関して一方の嵌合部品の回転方
向に独立な２つの管路部分を含む外科器具で使用される
空気コネクタ。
2.完成空気管路の各々が、コネクタを通った連続流体流
量を提供するために、環境から密封される上記１に記載
の空気コネクタ。
3.該空気管路部分が、コネクタの嵌合部品の軸に一般に
平行である上記２に記載のコネクタ。
4.一方の部品の該空気管路部分が、他方の部品の該空気
管路部分に一般に直角である上記２に記載のコネクタ。
5.一方の完成管路が、該共軸に一致し、そして該第２完
成管路の部分が、該共軸の回りを放射状に通過する上記
１に記載のコネクタ。
6.両部品の嵌め込みにより、流体が、該部品の中間面に
おける嵌合通路により完成空気管路を通って流動し、 該嵌合通路は、一方の嵌合部品の空気管路部分が、該嵌
合通路により対応する空気管路部分と流体連結にある如
く、該嵌合部品の回転軸と同心の環状開口を具備する上
記１に記載の空気コネクタ。
7.完成空気管路の各々が、コネクタを通った連続流体流
量を提供するために、環境から密封される上記６に記載
の空気コネクタ。
8.空気管路部分によって確立された流体経路の部分が、
該共軸に一般に平行である上記７に記載のコネクタ。
9.流体が、他方の嵌合部品の該共軸に一般に直角におい
て、該嵌合部品の一方を通ってコネクタに侵入する上記
８に記載のコネクタ。
10.2つの完成流体管路が、嵌合部品によって形成され、
一方の完成管路が、該共軸に沿って通過し、そして第２
完成管路が、該共軸の回りを放射状に通過し、嵌め込み
により、該第２完成空気管路が、該部品の中間面におい
て放射状通路を含み、該通路は、該一方の完成管路から
該嵌合部品内で密封される上記６に記載のコネクタ。
11.シャフトにより、トリガー機構の駆動機構を結合す
る２つの空気管路を有する外科ステープラであって、該
空気管路は、該シャフトを横断し、該空気管路は、空気
コネクタに付着された外科ステープラの組み合わせにお
いて、 ２つの嵌合部品であって、各々の該嵌合部品は、空気管
路の２つの部品を含み、一方の嵌合部品は、両嵌合部品
に一致した軸の回りで第２嵌合部品に関して回転可能で
ある２つの嵌合部品と、 該コネクタの該嵌合部品が嵌め込まれる時、流体経路
が、他方の嵌合部品に関して一方の嵌合部品の回転方向
に独立に完成管路部分により確立される如く、第２嵌合
部品の空気管路部分に対応する一方の部品の各々の該空
気管路部分とを具備する組み合わせ。
12.該駆動機構が、該シャフトから分離され、かつ該シ
ャフトに直角に回転可能であり、該駆動機構における空
気管路と該シャフトが、第２空気コネクタによって結合
され、第２空気コネクタは、２つの嵌合部品であって、
各々の該嵌合部品は、複数の空気管路部分を含み、一方

13.両部品の嵌め込みにより、流体が、該部品の中間面
に含められた嵌合通路により各完成空気管路を通って流
動し、 この場合該嵌合通路の一方は、一方の嵌合部品の空気管
路部分が、該嵌合通路に結合され、そして第２嵌合部品
の対応する空気管路部分が、該嵌合通路に結合される如
く、該嵌合部品の共軸に同心の環状開口を具備する上記
11に記載の組み合わせ。
14.該駆動機構が、該シャフトから分離され、かつ該シ
ャフトに直角に回転可能であり、該駆動機構における空
気管路と該シャフトが、第２空気コネクタによって結合
された組み合わせにおいて、２つの嵌合部品であって、
各々の該嵌合部品は、複数の空気管路部分を含み、一方
の嵌合部品は、両嵌合部品に一致した軸の回りで第２嵌
合部品に関して回転可能である２つの嵌合部品と、 両部品の嵌め込みにより、流体が、該部品の中間面に含
められた嵌合通路により各完成空気管路を通って流れる
如く、嵌合部品の空気管路部分に対応する一方の部品の
各々の該空気管路部分とを具備し、 この場合該嵌合通路の一方は、一方の嵌め込みの空気管
路部分が、該環状開口により他方の嵌合部品の空気管路
部分に結合される如く、該嵌合部品の共軸に同心の環状
開口を具備する上記13に記載の組み合わせ。
15.2つの嵌合部品であって、各々の該嵌合部品は、形状
が円筒形であり、かつ２つの空気管路部分を含み、各々
の該部品は、平坦板において終端し、該平坦板は、該部
品の嵌め込みにより、回転可能な流体シールを形成する
ために互いに接触可能であり、一方の該部品は、嵌め込
みにより他方の部品の回りで回転可能である２つの嵌合
部品と、 該コネクタを通った該空気管路の連続流体流量を許容す
るために、該コネクタの中心において該平坦板から退出
する各嵌合部分の該空気管路部分の一方と、 該コネクタの中心から等距離にある該平坦板から退出す
る各嵌合部品の第２空気管路部分とを具備し、流体流量
が、該平坦板の中間面において環状開口を含む嵌合通路
により許容される外科器具で使用される空気コネクタ。
16.一方の嵌合部品の空気管路部分が、他方の嵌合部品
の該空気管路部分に一般に横断すると上記15に記載のコ
ネクタ。
17.一方の嵌合部品の空気管路部分が、他方の嵌合部品
の空気管路部分に一般に平行である上記15に記載のコネ
クタ。
18.両部品の嵌め込みにより、流体が、該部品の中間面
における嵌合通路により完成空気管路を通って流動し、
該嵌合通路の一方は、該嵌合部品の共軸に同心の環状開
口を具備する上記11に記載の組み合わせ。
19.該駆動機構が、該シャフトから分離され、かつ該シ
ャフトに直角に回転可能であり、該駆動機構が、第２空
気コネクタにより該シャフトにおける該空気管路に結合
された組み合わせにおいて、２つの嵌合部品であって、
各々の該嵌合部品は、複数の空気管路部分を含み、一方
の嵌合部品は、両嵌合部品に一致した軸の回りで第２嵌
合部品に関して回転可能である２つの嵌合部品と、 両部品の嵌め込みにより、流体が、該部品の中間面に含
められた嵌合通路により完成空気管路を通って流れる如
く、嵌合部品の空気管路部分に対応する一方の部品にお
ける各々の該空気管路部分とを具備し、 この場合該嵌合通路の一方は、該嵌合部品の回転軸の同
心の環状開口を具備する上記18に記載の組み合わせ。
20.シャフトにより、トリガー機構と駆動機構を結合す
る２つの空気管路を有する外科ステープラにおいて、該
空気管路は、該シャフトを横断し、かつ空気コネクタに
付着され、該空気コネクタは、空気通路を含み、各通路
は、空気急速継ぎ手を含む外科ステープラ。
21.該シャフトが、さらに、該第１名称コネクタから該
シャフトの反対端部において第２空気コネクタを含み、
該第２空気コネクタが、空気通路を含み、各通路は、空
気急速継ぎ手を含み、この場合該シャフトは、該トリガ
ー機構と該駆動機構から分離される上記20に記載の外科
ステープラ。

Claims (4)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】２つの嵌合部品であって、各々の該嵌合部
    品は、複数の空気管路の部分を含み、一方の嵌合部品
    は、両嵌合部品に一致した軸の回りで第２嵌合部品に関
    して回転可能である２つの嵌合部品を具備し、一方の部
    品の各々の該空気管路部分が、該コネクタの該嵌合部品
    が嵌め込まれる時、流体が複数の完成空気管路を通って
    流れる如く、第２嵌合部品の空気管路部分に対応し、各
    完成空気管路は、他方の嵌合部品に関して一方の嵌合部
    品の回転方向に独立な２つの管路部分を含むことを特徴
    とする外科器具で使用される空気コネクタ。
  2. 【請求項２】シャフトにより、トリガー機構と駆動機構
    とを結合する２つの空気管路を有する外科ステープラで
    あって、該空気管路は、該シャフトを横断し、該空気管
    路は、空気コネクタに付着された外科ステープラの組み
    合わせにおいて、 ２つの嵌合部品であって、各々の該嵌合部品は、空気管
    路の２つの部分を含み、一方の嵌合部品は、両嵌合部品
    に一致した軸の回りで第２嵌合部品に関して回転可能で
    ある２つの嵌合部品を具備し、一方の部品の各々の該空
    気管路部分が、該コネクタの該嵌合部品が嵌め込まれる
    時、流体経路が、他方の嵌合部品に関して一方の嵌合部
    品の回転方向に独立に完成管路部分により確立される如
    く、第２嵌合部品の空気管路部分に対応することを特徴
    とする組み合わせ。
  3. 【請求項３】２つの嵌合部品であって、各々の該嵌合部
    品は、形状が円筒形であり、かつ２つの空気管路部分を
    含み、各々の該部品は、平坦板において終端し、該平坦
    板は、該部品の嵌め込みにより、回転可能な流体シール
    を形成するために互いに接触可能であり、一方の該部品
    は、嵌め込みにより他方の部品の回りで回転可能である
    ２つの嵌合部品を具備し、各嵌合部品の該空気管路部分
    の一方が、該コネクタを通った該空気管路の連続流体流
    量を許容するために、該コネクタの中心において該平坦
    板から退出し、各嵌合部品の第２の空気管路部分が、該
    コネクタの中心から等距離にある該平坦板から退出し、
    流体流量が、該平坦板の中間面において環状開口を含む
    嵌合通路により許容されることを特徴とする外科器具で
    使用される空気コネクタ。
  4. 【請求項４】シャフトにより、トリガー機構と駆動機構
    を結合する２つの空気管路を有する外科ステープラにお
    いて、該空気管路は、該シャフトを横断し、かつ空気コ
    ネクタに付着され、該空気コネクタは、空気通路を含
    み、各通路は、空気急速分離継ぎ手を含むことを特徴と
    する外科ステープラ。
