Description

【発明の詳細な説明】 〔産業上の利用分野〕 本発明は遠隔地にあるホストマシンを通信回線経由で
診断するリモート診断装置に関する。
〔従来の技術〕
従来，この種のリモート診断装置は，診断の対象とな
るマシンが予め固定され，かつ該リモート診断装置が実
施する検査内容も該リモート診断装置にロード・実行さ
れる診断用プログラムに組み入れられており，固定され
ていた。又，診断結果は前記診断装置が有する表示装置
又はプリンタに出力されていた。
〔発明が解決しようとす問題点〕
上述した従来のリモート診断装置は，被診断マシンと
検査項目が固定であるため，被診断マシンの増減又は検
査項目の追加・削除をする際には，回線工事又は診断プ
ログラムの変更が必要となる等システムとしての柔軟性
を欠いていた。さらに，従来のリモート診断装置は，診
断結果がリモート診断装置の出力装置に出力されるだけ
であるため，システム管理者がリモート診断装置のとこ
ろに居なければ，被診断マシンの異常を即時に発見する
事が出来ないという欠点があった。
〔問題点を解決するための手段〕
本発明によるリモート診断装置は，被診断マシンを電
話回線を介して診断するリモート診断装置であって，被
診断マシンの被診断マシン名，電話番号，検査項目，及
びその期待値又は期待値の許容範囲を格納する診断ファ
イルと，診断ファイル内の被診断マシンの電話番号を電
話回線を介して送出することによりその被診断マシンを
呼び出す手段と，呼び出された被診断マシンに対し診断
ファイル内の検査項目を逐次解釈し実行する手段と，こ
の実行結果が診断ファイル内の期待値と一致しないか又
は期待値の許容範囲外にあるならば，電話回線を介して
システム管理者に被診断マシン名とその異常内容を自動
的に通知する手段とを有することを特徴とする。
〔実施例〕
次に，本発明の実施例について図面を参照して説明す
る。
第１図を参照して，本発明の一実施例によるリモート
診断装置10は，網制御装置付モデム20,電話回線網30を
介して複数の被診断マシン40−1,40−2,…,40−ｎに接
続されている。又，リモート診断装置10は，網制御装置
付モデム20,電話回線網30を介してシステム管理者用電
話機50にも接続されている。
リモート診断装置10は，後述するように被診断マシン
40−1,40−2,…,40−ｎの電話番号や検査項目等の情報
（以下，診断情報と略称す。）が格納されている診断フ
ァイル11を有する。この診断ファイル11はリモート診断
装置10の利用者によって自由に作成できる。インタプリ
タ部12は，診断ファイル11に格納されている診断情報を
順次読み込み，先ず，被診断マシンの中の１つの電話番
号を電話回線自動発信部13へ伝える。電話回線自動発信
部13は，この電話番号を受け取ると，網制御装置付モデ
ム20を使用して電話番号を自動ダイセルで呼び出す。こ
れにより，網制御装置付モデム20は，電話回線網30を介
してこの電話回線網30に接続されている上述の電話番号
を持つ被診断マシンとの間の回線を開通させる。
この回線が開通したならば，インタプリタ部12は診断
ファイル11に記述されている検査コマンドを逐次解釈実
行する。この実行結果が診断ファイル11にある期待値と
合致しなかったり，あるいはその許容範囲を外れている
場合，インタプリタ部12は，現在開通している被診断マ
シンとの間の回線を断ち，診断ファイル11にあるシステ
ム管理者の電話番号を電話回線自動発信部13に伝えて，
前述した被診断マシンを呼び出す時と同じ手順で，シス
テム管理者の電話機50を呼び出す。
システム管理者がこの電話機50の受話器をオフフック
することにより電話回線が開通すると，インタプリタ部
12は音声記憶メモリ14にある音声データに被診断マシン
名と異常内容を追加して，電話回線網30を通してそれを
システム管理者に合成音声で伝える。
一方，被診断マシンの検査項目の全てに異常が無けれ
ば，インタプリタ部12は診断ファイル11から次の被診断
マシンの診断情報を読み出して，上述したのと同様の手
順で診断を行う。そして，診断ファイル11に記述されて
いる全被診断マシンの診断が終了したならば，インタプ
リタ部11は，再び，診断ファイル11の先頭にある被診断
マシンの診断を開始する。
第２図を参照して，診断ファイル11には，診断が行わ
れる被診断マシン40−1,40−2,…の順番にその定義200
−1,200−2,…が行われる。各被診断マシンの定義内に
は，マシン名201,マシン電話番号202,システム管理者電
話番号203のヘッダ情報から始まり，検査用コマンド20
4,206とその検査用コマンドの期待値又は許容範囲205,2
07が順次記述される。
〔発明の効果〕
以上説明したように本発明は，被診断マシンの電話番
号と検査項目及びその期待値又は期待値の許容範囲を書
き変え可能な外付けの診断ファイルに格納し，そしてイ
ンタプリタ部によって診断ファイルに記載されている被
診断マシンの検査を逐次実施する事により，被診断マシ
ンの増減又は検査項目の変更に柔軟に対処出来るという
効果がある。又，検査結果に異常がある場合は，インタ
プリタ部が電話回線を通して，直接システム管理者にそ
の異常を伝える事により，本発明によるリモート診断装
置から離れているシステム管理者でも被診断マシンの異
常を即時に発見できるという効果がある。

２図は第１図中の診断ファイルのフォーマット例を示す

Claims (1)

    (57)【特許請求の範囲】
  1. 【請求項１】被診断マシンを電話回線を介して診断する
    リモート診断装置において，前記被診断マシンの被診断
    マシン名，電話番号，検査項目，及びその期待値又は期
    待値の許容範囲を格納する診断ファイルと，該診断ファ
    イル内の被診断マシンの電話番号を前記電話回線を介し
    て送出することによりその被診断マシンを呼び出す手段
    と，該呼び出された被診断マシンに対し前記診断ファイ
    ル内の検査項目を逐次解釈し実行する手段と，この実行
    結果が前記診断ファイル内の期待値と一致しないか又は
    期待値の許容範囲外にあるならば、前記電話回線を介し
    てシステム管理者に被診断マシン名とその異常内容を自
    動的に通知する手段とを有することを特徴とするリモー
    ト診断装置。
