Claims (14)
- 自由端コネクタを備えるコネクタアセンブリであって、前記自由端コネクタが、
絶縁材料によって互いから離間され、かつ絶縁材料によって囲まれた、第1の導体及び第2の導体であって、前記絶縁材料から延在し露出している遠位端を有する第1の導体及び前記絶縁材料から延在し露出している遠位端を有する第2の導体、露出している遠位端を有するドレインワイヤ、並びに外側カバー、を含むツイナックスケーブルと、
該ツイナックスケーブルを支持するコネクタハウジングと、
該コネクタハウジング内に配置され、第1のサイド及び該第1のサイドとは反対側の第2のサイドを有し、前記第1のサイドから前記第2のサイドに延在する複数のフレーム開口部を含むフレームと、
該フレームの前記第2のサイド上に支持され、第1の信号端子、第2の信号端子、及び接地板を含む端子セットであって、前記接地板が蹄鉄形状を有し、前記第1の信号端子及び前記第2の信号端子の両側に接地端子を提供する端子セットと、を含み、
前記第1の導体が、前記複数のフレーム開口部のうちの第1の開口部の中に延在して、前記第1の信号端子に電気的に接続され、前記第2の導体は、前記複数のフレーム開口部のうちの第2の開口部の中に延在して、前記第2の信号端子に電気的に接続され、かつ前記ドレインワイヤは、前記複数のフレーム開口部のうちの第3の開口部の中に延在し、前記接地板に電気的に接続される、コネクタアセンブリ。 - 前記複数のフレーム開口部がテーパ状であり、前記第1及び第2の導体並びに前記ドレインワイヤの前記遠位端が挿入中に、前記フレームの前記第1のサイドから前記第2のサイドに向って移動するのを容易にする、請求項1に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記接地板、前記第1の信号端子、及び前記第2の信号端子が、前記テーパ状の開口部と位置合わせされた導体開口部を有し、
前記第1の導体が、前記導体開口部において前記第1の信号端子に接続され、前記第2の導体が、前記導体開口部において前記第2の信号端子に接続され、前記ドレインワイヤが、前記導体開口部において前記接地板に接続されている、請求項2に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。 - 前記第1の導体が、前記導体開口部において前記第1の信号端子に溶接され、かつ前記第2の導体が、前記導体開口部において前記第2の信号端子に溶接される、請求項3に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。
- シールドカバーが、前記第1の信号端子及び前記第2の信号端子の上に配置され、前記接地板に接続されている、請求項1に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記シールドカバーが、前記第1の信号端子内の導体開口部と位置合わせされた第1の調整開口部と、前記第2の信号端子内の導体開口部と位置合わせされた第2の調整開口部と、を含む、請求項5に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。
- 固定端コネクタを更に備え、該固定端コネクタが、
前記コネクタハウジングと一体に接続されるように構成されているプラグハウジングと、
該プラグハウジング内に配置されたプラグウエハと、
該プラグウエハ上に担持された、馬蹄形状を有する接地リードフレームと、
該接地リードフレーム内に配置され、その両側に接地リードが存在する一対の信号リードと、を有し、
前記接地リードフレームが前記接地端子と電気的に接触し、かつ前記信号リードのうちの一方が前記第1の信号端子と接触し、他方が前記第2の信号端子と接触している、請求項1に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。 - 前記一対の信号リードのうちの第1の信号リードが、PCB接触端部と、該PCB接触端部に対して垂直に延在する直線状の梁部と、を有し、
該直線状の梁部は、第2の端部が前記直線状の梁部からある角度で延在するように屈曲部を形成する単一のカンチレバーを有し、
前記第1の信号端子は、第1の端部と、第2の端部と、該第2の端部を前記直線状の梁部からある角度で延在させる単一のカンチレバーと、を有する直線状の梁部であり、かつ第1の端部は前記直線状の梁部と一直線をなし、
前記プラグハウジングと前記コネクタハウジングとが接続されると、前記第1の信号リードが、接触点で前記第1の信号端子と接触して、主要スタブ長及び二次スタブ長がほぼ等しい長さとなる、請求項7に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。 - 内部領域を形成するハウジングと、
前記内部領域に配置された第1のプラグウエハ及び第2のプラグウエハであって、それぞれが、複数の信号端子及び接地リードフレームを含む前記第1のプラグウエハ及び前記第2のプラグウエハと、を備え、
前記接地リードフレームが複数のU字型構成を提供し、各U字型構成が、信号端子の対の周りに延在し、対応する一対の信号端子の両側に配置された尾部を更に含み、
前記接地リードフレームが、複数のストラップを更に含み、
該複数のストラップのうちのそれぞれが、前記第1及び第2のプラグウエハ内に位置付けられた前記信号端子対のうちの一対を横断して横方向に延在するように構成され、
前記接地リードフレームが、前記ウエハにインサート成形されている、プラグコネクタ。 - 前記ストラップは、大はさみ形状であって、前記プラグウエハの表面に延在し、部分的に露出される、請求項9に記載のプラグコネクタ。
- 前記第1のプラグウエハ及び前記第2のプラグウエハが一体に接合される、請求項10に記載のプラグコネクタ。
- 自由端コネクタを備えるコネクタアセンブリであって、前記自由端コネクタが、
絶縁材料によって互いから離間され、かつ絶縁材料によって囲まれた第1の導体及び第2の導体、並びに、ドレインワイヤ、を含むケーブルと、
第1のサイド及び該第1のサイドとは反対側の第2のサイドを有し、前記第1のサイドから前記第2のサイドに延在する複数のフレーム開口部を含むフレームと、
該フレームの前記第2のサイド上に支持され、第1の信号端子、第2の信号端子、及び接地板を含む端子セットであって、前記接地板が蹄鉄形状を有し、前記第1の信号端子及び前記第2の信号端子の両側に接地端子を提供する端子セットと、を含み、
前記第1の導体が、前記複数のフレーム開口部のうちの第1の開口部の中に延在して、前記第1の信号端子に電気的に接続され、前記第2の導体は、前記複数のフレーム開口部のうちの第2の開口部の中に延在して、前記第2の信号端子に電気的に接続され、かつ前記ドレインワイヤは、前記複数のフレーム開口部のうちの第3の開口部の中に延在し、前記接地板に電気的に接続される、コネクタアセンブリ。 - 前記第1の導体は前記絶縁材料から延在し露出している遠位端を有し、前記第2の導体は前記絶縁材料から延在し露出している遠位端を有し、前記ドレインワイヤは、露出している遠位端を有する、請求項12に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。
- 前記複数のフレーム開口部がテーパ状であり、前記第1及び第2の導体並びに前記ドレインワイヤの前記遠位端が挿入中に、前記フレームの前記第1のサイドから前記第2のサイドに向って移動するのを容易にする、請求項13に記載のコネクタアセンブリ。
