Abstract
Description
心線(芯体)を形成する繊維(補強繊維)は、例えば、天然繊維(綿、麻など)、再生繊維(レーヨン、アセテートなど)、合成繊維(ポリエチレンやポリプロピレンなどのポリオレフィン繊維、ポリフルオロエチレンなどのフッ素樹脂系繊維、アクリル系繊維、ポリビニルアルコールなどのビニルアルコール系繊維、ポリアミド繊維、ポリエステル繊維、全芳香族ポリエステル繊維、アラミド繊維など)、無機繊維(炭素繊維、ガラス繊維など)などが挙げられる。これらの繊維は、単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。
前記処理糸(撚りコードなど)は、少なくとも第1の処理剤(第1の水性処理剤)で処理されており、この第1の処理剤は、エポキシ樹脂(A)、ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)及びブロックドポリイソシアネート(C)を含み、水性処理剤を形成している。なお、前記第1の処理剤は、補強繊維のモノフィラメント間及び/又はマルチフィラメント糸(原糸)に浸透又は含浸して、補強繊維及び原糸を強固に接着し、動力伝達面(例えば、Vリブドベルトなどの摩擦伝動ベルトの摩擦伝動面)での繊維の耐ホツレ性が高く、耐屈曲疲労性を大きく改善できる。
エポキシ樹脂(エポキシ化合物)(A)は、通常、1分子中に複数のエポキシ基(オキシラン環又はグリシジル基)を有している場合が多く、グリシジルエーテル型エポキシ樹脂、グリシジルエステル型エポキシ樹脂(ジグリシジルフタレート、ジグリシジルヘキサヒドロフタレートなどの多価カルボン酸(例えば、芳香族多価カルボン酸)のグリシジルエステル)、グリシジルアミン型エポキシ樹脂(テトラグリシジルアミノジフェニルメタン、トリグリシジル−p−アミノフェノールなどのアミノ化合物(例えば、芳香族アミン)のアミノ基をグリシジル化した樹脂)、脂環式エポキシ樹脂(シクロヘキセンオキサイドなどのシクロアルケンオキサイド型エポキシ樹脂、ジシクロペンタジエン型エポキシ樹脂などのシクロアルケン環の二重結合が酸化してエポキシ化したエポキシ樹脂)、複素環式エポキシ樹脂(トリグリシジルイソシアヌレートなど)などであってもよい。グリシジルエーテル型エポキシ樹脂としては、例えば、脂肪族エポキシ樹脂(例えば、エチレングリコール、プロピレングリコール、ネオペンチルグリコール、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリプロピレングリコールなどのジオール類、グリセリンなどのトリオール類などのポリオール類のポリグリシジルエーテル)、脂環族エポキシ樹脂(シクロヘキサンジメタノールジグリシジルエーテルなどのシクロアルカンジオールジグリシジルエーテル、ジシクロペンタジエンジオールジグリシジルエーテルなどの橋架け環式型エポキシ樹脂など)、芳香族エポキシ樹脂などのいずれであってもよい。エポキシ樹脂は芳香族エポキシ樹脂を含むことが好ましい。
ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)は、ポリオールと、カーボネート類(ジアルキルカーボネート類、アルキレンカーボネート類など)との反応により得られ、ポリオールは、少なくともジオールを含んでおり、ポリオール(グリセリン、トリメチロールプロパン、ペンタエリスリトールなどのアルカンポリオールなど)を併用し、分岐構造を導入してもよい。
ブロック剤で保護されたブロックドポリイソシアネートを利用すると、心線(補強繊維又は原糸)への第1の処理剤への浸漬又は含浸処理過程では反応せず、伝動ベルトなどのエラストマー(又はゴム)の加硫過程での加熱により硬化反応が進むため、操作性を向上できる。
本発明の第1の処理剤は、前記成分に加えて、硬化剤を含んでいてもよい。硬化剤としては、エポキシ樹脂に対する種々の硬化剤が使用でき、硬化剤はブロックドポリイソシアネートの硬化剤として機能してもよい。
なお、第1の処理剤は、硬化剤による硬化反応を促進させるために、さらに硬化促進剤を含んでいてもよい。硬化促進剤としては、エポキシ樹脂の硬化促進剤として慣用的に利用される硬化剤や硬化促進剤を利用でき、適度な条件でエポキシ樹脂を硬化できる点から、第3級アミン類が好ましい。第3級アミン類としては、例えば、トリエチルアミン、トリエタノールアミン、ジメチルアミノエタノールなどの脂肪族アミン、ベンジルジメチルアミン、2,4,6−トリス(ジメチルアミノメチル)フェノールなどの芳香族アミン、DBU、DABCO、ATUなどの複素環式アミンなどが挙げられる。これらの第3級アミン類は、単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。
前記エポキシ樹脂(A)、ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)及びブロックドポリイソシアネート(C)を含む第1の処理剤は、水性媒体(水性溶媒)を含む水性処理剤を形成している。水性媒体(水性溶媒)は、水単独であってもよく、水と水溶性有機溶媒との混合溶媒であってもよい。水溶性有機溶媒としては、例えば、メタノール、エタノール、プロパノール、イソプロパノールなどのアルコール類;アセトンなどのケトン類;ジオキサンなどのエーテル類;N,N−ジメチルホルムアミド、N,N−ジメチルアセトアミドなどのアミド類;N−メチルピロリドン;ジメチルスルホキシドなどのスルホキシド類;グリコールエーテル類(例えば、メチルセロソルブ、エチルセロソルブ、ブチルセロソルブなどのセロソルブ類;メチルカルビトール、エチルカルビトールなどのカルビトール類;プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルなど)、グリコールエーテルエステル類(例えば、メチルセロソルブアセテートなどのセロソルブアセテート、カルビトールアセテート、プロピレングリコールモノメチルエーテルアセテートなど)、グライム又はジグライム類などが例示できる。これらの水溶性有機溶媒は単独で又は二種以上組み合わせて使用できる。
ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)は、必要であれば、ポリマーポリオール、例えば、ポリアクリルポリオール、ポリエステルポリオール、ポリエーテルポリオールなどと組み合わせて使用してもよい。
第1の処理剤(第1の処理液)は、各成分を水性媒体中に溶解又は分散させて調製してもよく、各成分の溶液又は分散体を混合して調製してもよい。なお、必要であれば、非水溶性の成分(例えば、硬化剤など)は、水溶性有機溶媒に溶解して混合してもよい。
本発明では、心線(未処理糸)は、少なくとも前記第1の水性処理剤で処理されていればよく、さらに第2の水性処理剤で処理してもよい。そのため、本発明の水性処理剤は、前記第1の水性処理剤(第1の水性処理液)と第2の水性処理剤(第2の水性処理液)とを含んでいてもよく、本発明は、前記第1の水性処理剤と第2の水性処理剤とのセットも包含する。第2の処理剤(第2の水性処理剤)は、少なくともレゾルシン(R)とホルムアルデヒド(F)とゴム又はラテックス(L)とを含んでおり、レゾルシン−ホルムアルデヒド−ラテックス(RFL)処理液を形成している。このような第2の処理剤で処理すると、水性であっても、心線と伝動ベルト本体との接着性をより一層向上できる。
心線は、未処理糸を第1の水性処理剤で処理することで調製される。未処理糸を第1の水性処理剤で処理した後、第2の水性処理剤で処理することで調製してもよい。心線は、第1の処理剤が表面及び繊維間(若しくは原糸間)に浸透して硬化した硬化物を含んでおり、さらに第2の処理剤で処理すると、RFL液が前記エポキシ樹脂と反応して硬化した硬化物を含むようである。このような心線は、ゴム補強用心線、例えば、伝動ベルト用心線として適している。心線は、通常、伝動ベルトのゴム層(架橋ゴム層)内に埋設して利用される。
アラミド撚糸コード:1100dtexのアラミド繊維の束(フィラメント数1000)を1×3の撚り構成で、下撚り係数4.0、上撚り係数2.8で諸撚りした総繊度3300dtex(フィラメント数3000)の撚りコード
下記成分を含む第1の処理剤を調製した。すなわち、表1に示す第1の処理剤の成分を混合し、室温で10分攪拌し、各種第1の処理剤(処理液)を作製した。
なお、前記のように、水酸基当量は、水酸基価に基づいて、式:水酸基当量=1/[(水酸基価mgKOH/g)/1000/56.1]に基づいて算出できる。

表2に第2の処理剤(RFL液)の構成成分を示す。まず、水にレゾルシンを加えて室温で30分間攪拌して溶解させた後、37質量%ホルマリンを加えて、さらに室温で30分間攪拌して反応させ、X液を得た。
未処理のアラミド撚糸コードを、第1の処理剤(25℃)に10秒間浸漬後、150℃で2分間乾燥し、続いて第2の処理剤(25℃)に10秒間浸漬後、200℃で2分間乾燥して、接着成分が付着した処理コードを得た。
ベルトの未加硫ゴム組成物として以下の成分を用いた。
酸化亜鉛:正同化学工業(株)製「酸化亜鉛3種」
カーボンブラックHAF:東海カーボン(株)製「シースト3」
ステアリン酸:日油(株)製「ステアリン酸つばき」
含水シリカ:東ソー・シリカ(株)製「Nipsil VN3」、BET比表面積240m2/g
レゾルシン・ホルムアルデヒド縮合物:レゾルシノール20%未満、ホルマリン0.1%未満
老化防止剤:精工化学(株)製「ノンフレックスOD3」
加硫促進剤DM:ジ−2−ベンゾチアゾリルジスルフィド
ヘキサメトキシメチロールメラミン:PowerPlast社製「PP−1890S」
ポリアミド短繊維:旭化成(株)製「66ナイロン」
綿短繊維:平均繊維径13μm、平均繊維長6mm
メルカプトベンゾイミダゾール:大内新興化学工業(株)製「ノクラックMB」
パラフィン系軟化剤:出光興産(株)製「ダイアナプロセスオイル」
ジベンゾイル・キノンジオキシム:大内新興化学工業(株)製「バルノックDGM」
有機過酸化物:化薬アクゾ(株)製「パーカドックス14RP」。
ベルト側面を目視で観察し、心線のホツレの有無を確認した。
図3に示すように、得られたVリブドベルトにおいて、ベルト背面の帆布を剥離した後、ゴム層と接着した心線1のうち、隣り合う心線1aを圧縮ゴム層側の接着ゴム層2より2本引き起こし、Vリブドベルトの一端を掴み具21aで掴んだ状態で、オートグラフ((株)島津製作所製「AGS−J10kN」)の掴み具21bで掴み、引張速度50mm/分で剥離試験を行い、雰囲気温度23℃での心線1と接着ゴム層2との接着力を測定した(心線2本剥離力)。
得られたVリブドベルトを、図4に示すように、駆動プーリ11(直径120mm、回転数:4900rpm)、従動プーリ12(直径120mm、負荷:8.8kW)、アイドラプーリ13(直径85mm)及びテンションプーリ14(直径45mm、軸荷重:60kgf(一定))に巻き付け、120℃の雰囲気温度で、寿命まで走行させた。

Claims (16)
- 伝動ベルト用未処理糸を処理して心線を調製するための水性処理剤であって、少なくとも第1の水性処理剤を含み、前記第1の水性処理剤が、エポキシ樹脂(A)と、ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)と、ブロックドポリイソシアネート(C)とを含む、水性処理剤。
- 前記エポキシ樹脂(A)がビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂(A1)を含み、前記ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)がポリカーボネートジオール(B1)を含み、前記ブロックドポリイソシアネート(C)が、脂肪族ポリイソシアネート又はその誘導体及び芳香族ポリイソシアネートから選択され、かつ解離温度120〜180℃である少なくとも一種のブロックドポリイソシアネートを含む請求項1記載の水性処理剤。
- 固形分又は不揮発分において、前記エポキシ樹脂(A)のエポキシ当量が450〜5000g/eqであり、前記ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)の水酸基当量が200〜600g/eqであり、前記ブロックドポリイソシアネート(C)のイソシアネート基当量が200〜600g/eqである請求項1又は2記載の水性処理剤。
- 前記エポキシ樹脂(A)のヒドロキシル基と、前記ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)のヒドロキシル基とのモル比が、前者/後者=45/55〜95/5であり、前記エポキシ樹脂(A)及び前記ポリカーボネートポリオール(B)のヒドロキシル基の総量1モルに対して、前記ブロックドポリイソシアネート(C)のイソシアネート基の割合が0.7〜1.3モルである請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の水性処理剤。
- 前記第1の水性処理剤が、さらに硬化剤を含む請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の水性処理剤。
- 前記硬化剤が、イミダゾール系硬化剤を含む請求項5記載の水性処理剤。
- さらに第2の水性処理剤を含み、前記第2の水性処理剤が、レゾルシンとホルムアルデヒドとラテックスとを含む請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の水性処理剤。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の水性処理剤で処理された未処理糸を含む、伝動ベルト用心線。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の水性処理剤と、レゾルシンとホルムアルデヒドとラテックスとを含む第2の水性処理剤とで順次に処理された未処理糸を含む、伝動ベルト用心線。
- 前記未処理糸が、アラミド繊維及びポリエステル繊維からなる群より選択された少なくとも一種を含む請求項8または9記載の伝動ベルト用心線。
- 前記未処理糸が、パラ系アラミド繊維を含む請求項8〜10のいずれか一項に記載の伝動ベルト用心線。
- 前記未処理糸が撚糸コードである請求項8〜11のいずれか一項に記載の伝動ベルト用心線。
- 請求項8〜12のいずれか一項に記載の伝動ベルト用心線を含む伝動ベルト。
- 前記伝動ベルト用心線が加硫ゴム層内に埋設されている請求項13記載の伝動ベルト。
- 未処理糸を請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の水性処理剤で処理する、伝動ベルト用心線の製造方法。
- 前記未処理糸を前記水性処理剤で処理した後、レゾルシンとホルムアルデヒドとラテックスとを含む第2の水性処理剤で処理する、請求項15記載の伝動ベルト用心線の製造方法。
