Description
本発明の心線は、アラミド心線の未処理糸(心線本体)を特定の第1の処理剤で処理(被覆処理、浸漬処理、含浸処理)する工程(第1の処理工程)を少なくとも経て、製造される。
(アラミド心線の未処理糸)
第1の処理剤で処理するためのアラミド心線の未処理糸は、撚りが加えられていない原糸の状態であってもよく、原糸に撚りを加えた撚糸の状態であってもよい。撚糸は、フィラメントが撚り合わされているため、処理剤が内部のフィラメント間に侵入し難い性質を有している。そのため、撚糸では、通常、処理剤が強固に内部のフィラメントに付着できずにゴムとの密着性が低下し易い。一方、原糸を処理剤で処理してから撚りを加えて撚糸を作製し、さらに処理剤で処理する方法があるが、ホツレや接着性は改善されるものの、アラミド繊維の柔軟性が損なわれて屈曲疲労性が低下し易い。また、撚糸前と後に処理工程を設けるため工程が複雑になる上に、原糸に処理液が付着すると粘着性が増して撚糸作業時の取り扱い性も低下する。これに対して、本発明では、処理剤の浸透性が優れているためか、撚糸であってもゴムとの密着性を向上できる。そのため、本発明では、アラミド心線の未処理糸が原糸、撚糸のいずれであっても優れた効果を発現するが、撚糸である場合に、特に効果的である。
アラミド心線の原糸としては、例えば、アラミド繊維(芳香族ポリアミド繊維)のモノフィラメント糸、又はアラミド繊維を含むフィラメント群を無撚りでリボン状(又はテープ状)に引き揃えたアラミド系マルチフィラメント糸などが例示できる。
このような原糸に撚りを加えた撚糸(又はコード)は、複数のモノフィラメント糸を単糸として、少なくとも1本の単糸を右撚り(S撚り)又は左撚り(Z撚り)した方撚糸であってもよい。単糸は、強度の点から、例えば、10〜2000本、好ましくは100〜1800本、さらに好ましくは500〜1500本程度のモノフィラメント糸を含んでいてもよい。単糸の平均繊度は、例えば、500〜3000dtex、好ましくは1000〜2500dtex、さらに好ましくは1500〜2000dtex程度であってもよい。
第1の処理剤(又は前処理剤)は、ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂とゴム未変性エポキシ樹脂(ゴムで変性されていないエポキシ樹脂又はゴム非含有エポキシ樹脂)とを含む。
第1の処理剤で処理したアラミド心線の第1の処理糸は、そのままアラミド心線として用いてもよいが、通常、さらに、レゾルシンとホルマリンとラテックスとを含む第2の処理剤で処理してもよい。このような第2の処理剤で処理する工程(第2の処理工程)を経ることにより、アラミド心線と伝動ベルト本体との接着性をより一層向上できる。
第2の処理剤で処理したアラミド心線の第2の処理糸は、さらに、ゴムを含む第3の処理剤(未加硫のゴム組成物又はゴム糊)で処理してもよい。このような第3の処理剤で処理する工程(第3の処理工程)を経ることにより、アラミド心線と伝動ベルト本体との接着性をより一層向上できる。
本発明のアラミド心線は、伝動ベルト用途に適しており、通常、伝動ベルトのゴム層に埋設して利用される。なお、ゴム層は、伝動ベルトの用途等に応じて適宜選択でき、例えば、ラップドVベルトでは、アラミド心線を、ジエン系ゴム(天然ゴム、スチレンブタジエンゴム、クロロプレンゴムなど)、オレフィン系ゴム(EPDMなど)などのゴム(又はその組成物)で形成されたゴム層に埋設してもよい。
伝動ベルトは、上記のアラミド心線を含んでいればよく、通常、ベルトの長手方向(又は周方向)にアラミド心線(特に複数のアラミド心線)を埋設したゴム層を備えた伝動ベルトである場合が多い。隣接する心線の間隔(スピニングピッチ)は、例えば、0.5〜4mm、好ましくは0.6〜2.5mm、さらに好ましくは0.7〜2.3mm程度であってもよい。

レゾルシン・ホルマリン共重合物(レゾルシノール樹脂):レゾルシノール20%未満、ホルマリン0.1%未満のレゾルシン・ホルマリン共重合物。
1670dtex(フィラメント数1000本)のアラミド繊維(帝人(株)製「テクノーラ(登録商標)」)からなる無撚りでリボン状に引き揃えたアラミド繊維フィラメントの束(アラミド繊維単糸という)2本を、下撚り数を10.5回/10cm、撚り係数を1.9で下撚り(S撚り)し、この下撚り糸を3本束ね、上撚り数を10.6回/10cm、撚り係数を3.5で下撚りと反対方向に上撚り(Z撚り)し、アラミド繊維コードを作製した。
(第1処理液)
表1に示す成分をトルエンに混合し、室温で10分攪拌し、各種第1処理液(前処理液)A〜Iを作製した。
レゾルシン2.6質量部、37%ホルマリン1.4質量部、ビニルピリジン−スチレン−ブタジエン共重合体ラテックス(日本ゼオン(株)製)17.2質量部、水78.8質量部を、室温で10分攪拌し、第2の処理液(RFL液)を得た。
後述の表2に示すゴム組成物を、固形分濃度10%でトルエンに溶解して第3処理液(ゴム糊)を作製した。
後述の表2に示すゴム組成物の未加硫ゴムシート(厚み4mm)の上に、アラミド心線を、幅が25mmとなるように複数本平行に並べ(繊維間隔0.1mm)、プレス板で2.0MPaの圧力をかけ、160℃で30分間加硫して、剥離試験用の短冊試料(幅25mm×長さ150mm×厚み4mm)を作製した。そして、JIS K6256(1999)に従って、引張速度50mm/分で剥離試験を行い、心線と接着ゴムとの接着力(加硫接着力)を室温雰囲気下で測定した。
アラミド心線のホツレ性を評価するため、次の方法で平ベルトを作製した。まず、表2に示すゴム組成物で形成された厚さ0.5mmの未加硫の接着ゴム層用シートと、表3に示すゴム組成物で形成された厚さ4mmの未加硫の圧縮ゴム層用シートを積層したゴムシートとを、前記圧縮ゴム層用シートが下側になるようにマントルに巻き付けた後、前記接着ゴム層用シートの上からアラミド心線をスピニングして巻き付け、さらにこの上に、表3に示すゴム組成物で形成された厚さ2mmの未加硫の伸張ゴム層用シートをこの順に巻き付けた。
A:ベルトカット時に端面にホツレはなく、端面を強く擦っても、数箇所ホツレが生成する程度である
B:ベルトカット時に端面にホツレはないが、端面を普通に擦ってもホツレが生成し、強く擦るとホツレが多数生成する
C:ベルトカット時に端面にホツレが生成する。
屈曲疲労試験用の試験片を次のようにして作製した。まず、表2に示す組成の未加硫のゴムシート(厚み0.5mm)を円筒状の金型に巻き付け、この上にアラミド心線をスパイラル状に巻き付け、さらにこの上に表2に示す組成の未加硫ゴムシート(厚み0.5mm)を巻き付け、このゴムシートにジャケットを被せて加熱することよって加硫し、加硫ゴムスリーブを作製した。アラミド心線が2本埋設され、かつカットした側面にアラミド心線が露出しないように加硫ゴムスリーブを周方向にカッターでカットし、幅3mm、長さ50cm、厚み1.5mmの試験片21を作製した。
アラミド繊維コード(撚糸)を、表1に示す各種第1処理液(A〜Iのいずれか)に10秒間通過させることにより浸漬処理し、180℃、4分間の条件で乾燥処理した。
アラミド繊維コードの作製において、下撚りを加える前のアラミド繊維単糸(原糸)を、実施例1と同様に、各種第1処理液を用いて浸漬及び乾燥処理した。得られたアラミド繊維単糸(無撚りでリボン状に引き揃えたアラミド繊維フィラメントの束)。2本を、下撚り数を10.5回/10cmで下撚り(S撚り)し、この下撚り糸を3本束ね、上撚り数を10.6回/10cmで下撚りと反対方向に上撚り(Z撚り)し、アラミド繊維コードを作製した。

Claims (11)
- アラミド心線の未処理糸を、ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂およびゴム未変性エポキシ樹脂を含む第1の処理剤で処理する第1の処理工程を少なくとも含む、アラミド心線の製造方法であって、前記ゴム未変性エポキシ樹脂が、ビス(ヒドロキシフェニル)メタン類をビスフェノール類とするビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂を含む、製造方法。
- ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂が、ニトリルゴム変性エポキシ樹脂を含む請求項1記載の製造方法。
- ビス(ヒドロキシフェニル)メタン類をビスフェノール類とするビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂が、ビスフェノールF型エポキシ樹脂を含む請求項1又は2記載の製造方法。
- ゴム未変性エポキシ樹脂が、ビス(ヒドロキシフェニル)メタン類をビスフェノール類とするビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂と他のビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂とを含む請求項1〜3のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂がニトリルゴム変性ビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂を含み、ゴム未変性エポキシ樹脂が、ビスフェノールF型エポキシ樹脂と、ビスフェノールA型エポキシ樹脂とを含む請求項1〜4のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- ビス(ヒドロキシフェニル)メタン類をビスフェノール類とするビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂と他のビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂との割合が、前者/後者(質量比)=95/5〜10/90である請求項4又は5記載の製造方法。
- ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂とゴム未変性エポキシ樹脂との割合が、前者/後者(質量比)=50/50〜1/99である請求項1〜6のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 第1の処理剤で処理したアラミド心線の第1の処理糸を、さらに、レゾルシンとホルマリンとラテックスとを含む第2の処理剤で処理する第2の処理工程を含む請求項1〜7のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 第2の処理工程で処理したアラミド心線の第2の処理糸を、さらに、ゴムを含む第3の処理剤で処理する第3の処理工程を含む請求項8記載の製造方法。
- アラミド心線の未処理糸が撚糸である請求項1〜9のいずれかに記載の製造方法。
- 伝動ベルトに使用されるアラミド心線の未処理糸を処理するための処理剤であって、ゴム変性エポキシ樹脂およびビス(ヒドロキシフェニル)メタン類をビスフェノール類とするビスフェノール型エポキシ樹脂を含む処理剤。
