Abstract
Description
前記電子輸送層は第1電子輸送物質及び第2電子輸送物質を含み、
前記第1電子輸送物質はN含有6員環を含む単環もしくは多環の環を含む有機物であり、
前記第2電子輸送物質はN、O及びSのうち少なくとも一つの異種元素を含む5員の複素環またはシアノ基を含む有機物であり、
前記第2電子輸送物質の双極子モーメント(dipole moment)が前記第1電子輸送物質の双極子モーメントに比べてさらに大きい有機電界発光素子を提供する。
X1〜X6のうち1〜3個はNであり、
残りはCR1であり、R1は1価有機基であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
X1、X3及びX5のうち少なくとも一つはNであり、残りはCR1であり、
R1及びR11〜R13は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族の環を形成することができる。
X1、X3及びX5のうち少なくとも一つはNであり、残りはCR1であり、
R1、R11、R12及びR14は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
L1は2価有機基であり、
隣接した1価有機基または隣接した2価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
X1、X3、X5及びX7〜X9のうち少なくとも一つはNであり、残りはCR1であり、
R1、R11、R12、R15及びR16は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
L11は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々2価有機基であり、mは1〜3の整数であり、
隣接した1価有機基または隣接した2価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
Y1はNR21、OまたはSであり、
Y2〜Y5は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々NまたはCR22であり、
R21及びR22は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
Y1はNR21、OまたはSであり、
Y2及びY3は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々NまたはCR22であり、
R2、R21及びR22は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
nは0〜4の整数であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
Y1はNR21、OまたはSであり、
Y3はNまたはCR22であり、
R2、R3、R21及びR22は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、

隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
R2、R3及びR4は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
nは0〜4の整数であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
Y1はNR21、OまたはSであり、
Y3はNまたはCR22であり、
R2、R5、R21及びR22は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
nは0〜4の整数であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
Y1及びY6は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々NR21、OまたはSであり、
Y3及びY7は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々NまたはCR22であり、
R2、R6、R21及びR22は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
n及びqは各々0〜4の整数であり、
L22は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々2価有機基であり、pは1〜3の整数であり、
隣接した1価有機基または隣接した2価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
R2、R7及びR8は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
n、r及びsは各々0〜4の整数であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。
L31は2価有機基であり、tは0〜4の整数であり、tが2以上の場合、L31は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、
R31は1価有機基である。
L32及びL33は2価有機基であり、R32及びR33は1価有機基であり、
x及びyは各々0〜4の整数であり、zは0〜8の整数であり、x、yまたはzが2以上の場合、括弧内の構造は互いに同一であるかまたは異なる。
z、R32及びR33は化学式15で定義したとおりである。
ガラス基板上に正孔注入電極として透明電極(Indium Tin Oxide)を100nm厚さで蒸着し、酸素プラズマ処理を30mtorr圧力において80wで30秒間行った。その上に真空状態で熱を加えて[cp1]を30nm厚さで蒸着した。その上に正孔注入及び輸送層として[cp2]を800nm厚さで蒸着した。その上に正孔輸送層として[cp3]を200nm厚さで蒸着した。その上に発光層として[cp4]を20nm厚さで蒸着し、発光ドーパントとして[cp5]を体積比で4%ドーピングした。次に、その上に電子輸送及び注入層として化学式1に属する[cp6−1]、[cp6−2]、[cp6−3]、[cp6−4]、[cp6−5]、[cp6−13]または[cp6−22]を30nm厚さで蒸着し、その上に電子注入層としてLiFを1nm厚さで蒸着し、その上に電子注入電極としてアルミニウム(Al)を150nm厚さで蒸着して有機電界発光素子を製作した。
比較例1−1で用いられた電子輸送及び電子注入層に含まれた物質の代わりに、下記の表3のように、[cp7−1]、[cp7−2]、[cp7−3]、[cp7−4]、[cp7−5]または[cp7−19]を用いたことを除いては、比較例1と同様の方法により有機電界発光素子を製造した。
比較例1−1で用いられた電子輸送及び電子注入層に含まれた物質の代わりに、下記の表4のように、[cp6−1]〜[cp6−5]、[cp6−13]及び[cp6−22]のうちの一つと[cp7−1]〜[cp7−5]及び[cp7−19]のうちの一つを50:50の体積比で用いて層を構成したことを除いては、 比較例1−1と同様の方法により有機電界発光素子を製造した。
比較例1−1で用いられた電子輸送及び電子注入層に含まれた物質の代わりに、下記の表6のように、下記[化合物A−1]〜[化合物A−2]のうちの一つと下記[化合物B−1]〜[化合物B−3]のうちの一つを50:50の体積比で用いて層を構成したことを除いては、比較例1と同様の方法により有機電界発光素子を製造した。
比較例1−1で用いられた電子輸送及び電子注入層に含まれた物質の代わりに、下記の表7のように、[cp6−1]、[cp6−4]、[cp7−2]、または[cp7−5]のうちの化合物1種を20nm厚さで蒸着した後、[cp6−1]、[cp6−4]、[cp7−2]、または[cp7−5]のうちの他の化合物1種を10nm厚さで蒸着して、2層の電子輸送層を積層したことを除いては、比較例1−1と同様の方法により有機電界発光素子を製造した。

Claims (13)
- アノード、
カソード、
前記アノードと前記カソードとの間に備えられた発光層、及び
前記カソードと前記発光層との間に備えられた電子輸送層を含み、
前記電子輸送層は第1電子輸送物質及び第2電子輸送物質を含み、
前記第1電子輸送物質はN含有6員環を含む単環もしくは多環の環を含む有機物であり、
前記第2電子輸送物質はN、O及びSのうち少なくとも一つの異種元素を含む5員の複素環またはシアノ基を含む有機物であり、
前記第2電子輸送物質の双極子モーメント(dipole moment)が前記第1電子輸送物質の双極子モーメントに比べてさらに大きい有機電界発光素子。 - 前記第1電子輸送物質の双極子モーメントは0Debye〜3Debyeであり、
前記第2電子輸送物質の双極子モーメントは1Debye〜7Debyeである、請求項1に記載の有機電界発光素子。 - 前記第1電子輸送物質は下記化学式1で表される構造を含む、請求項1または2に記載の有機電界発光素子:
X1〜X6のうち1〜3個はNであり、
残りはCR1であり、R1は1価有機基であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。 - 前記第1電子輸送物質はピリジン、ピリミジンまたはトリアジンを含む有機物である、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第2電子輸送物質は下記化学式5で表される構造を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子:
Y1はNR21、OまたはSであり、
Y2〜Y5は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々NまたはCR22であり、
R21及びR22は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、各々1価有機基であり、
隣接した1価有機基は互いに結合して置換もしくは非置換の脂肪族環または置換もしくは非置換の芳香族環を形成することができる。 - 前記第2電子輸送物質はイミダゾール、オキサゾールまたはチアゾールを含む有機物である、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第2電子輸送物質はベンゾイミダゾール、ベンゾオキサゾールまたはベンゾチアゾールを含む有機物である、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第2電子輸送物質は下記化学式14で表される構造を含む、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子:
L31は2価有機基であり、tは0〜4の整数であり、tが2以上の場合、L31は互いに同一であるかまたは異なり、
R31は1価有機基である。 - 前記第1電子輸送物質及び前記第2電子輸送物質は金属元素または金属錯体を含まない、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電子輸送物質及び前記第2電子輸送物質は金属錯体を含まない、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電子輸送物質及び前記第2電子輸送物質は各々分子量が400Da〜900Daである、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
- 前記第1電子輸送物質と第2電子輸送物質を含む電子輸送層は、
前記第1電子輸送物質と前記第2電子輸送物質を1:99〜99:1の体積比で含む、請求項1から11のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。 - 前記有機電界発光素子は、前記電子輸送層と前記カソードとの間に備えられた電子注入層をさらに含む、請求項1から12のいずれか一項に記載の有機電界発光素子。
