Abstract
Description

Claims (8)
- 安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維を炭素繊維に変換するために、前記安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維をホウ素源で処理した後、前記繊維を不活性雰囲気中で1000℃以上の温度まで加熱することを含む、方法。
- 前記安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維がスルホン化ポリオレフィンであることをさらに特徴とする、請求項1に記載の前記方法。
- 前記ポリオレフィンがエチレン及びオクテンのコポリマーであることをさらに特徴とする、請求項1及び2のいずれか一項に記載の前記方法。
- 1800℃を超える温度まで加熱することなく、前記安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維を黒鉛化することをさらに特徴とする、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の前記方法。
- 前記安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維を水性ホウ素源に供することを含む、ホウ素源を用いた前記安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維の前記処理をさらに特徴とする、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の前記方法。
- 前記ホウ素源がホウ酸を含むことをさらに特徴とする、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の前記方法。
- 1リットル当たり0.1モル以上のホウ酸濃度のホウ酸水溶液槽に前記安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維を浸漬することによって、前記安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維をホウ素源で処理することをさらに特徴とする、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の前記方法。
- 得られる炭素繊維が1モルパーセント以上のホウ素濃度を有するように、前記安定化されたポリオレフィン繊維上に十分なホウ素を配置することをさらに特徴とする、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の前記方法。
